My whole world revolves around thrifting, so I wanted to leave a review for my fellow thrifters --…read moreI got you! I first shopped at Savers when I lived in Phoenix, AZ, and I've been a huge fan for over 10 years. Everything is donation-based (obviously), so what's available will always vary. PROS: When I went, they had a ton of great options for clothes and shoes!! My cart was full of jeans, dresses (both casual and dressy), statement jackets, and unique tops. I ended up spending $50 and walked away with two pairs of jeans, a long jean skirt, a knit shawl, overalls (which are hard to find in my size), and a couple of tops. There were a few items I wanted to keep soooo bad, but they were $20+ and I wanted to stay on budget. CON: Very, very, very messy and unorganized. This definitely isn't the employees' fault -- they're working as fast as they can -- but so many shoppers pick things up and put them back in random places. My advice is to check all rack sizes in both clothing and shoes. For example, I found a women's 8.5 Hoka in the men's section, though it was priced at $49 (a little steep for me). Hope this helps -- best of luck thrifting!!!!

Many odd and unstable people in the store wandering around, and then targeting vulnerable people to…read moreask for money or share some kind of sad story to say why they want that person to buy them something. That is crazy! Those people should be kicked out of the store. That is like harassment. My fiance and I were in that store recently. I saw the guy when I was coming out of the bathroom - which is pretty clean by the way, but there is no door to enter the actual room the stalls are in. That seems dangerous to me. Anyways this dude looked like trouble, I looked at him made eye contact and kept walking. Then later in the store near the shoes he walked up to an older lady and asked her to buy him a coat because he didn't have any money. I don't think that is appropriate. He should go to the Savers people and ask them. I observed and the lady declined and he walked away. This is not something I am willing to deal with every time I come into the store. The Savers in Orange County and the bay area, San Jose and Redwood City do not have such troubles. I haven't found anything in that store that I purchased. So, I will not be back. The staff is ok, there are not many mirrors, no dressing rooms, and just a really sketchy area. I am disappointed this wasn't a better store. I was really looking forward to it! I just recalled, when this store first opened we visited it. It was so much cleaner, brighter, and there were not random unhoused people harassing the shoppers. We actually purchased 3 sports coats for my fiance which were a great deal for some nice coats. I hope maybe one day they will get security who can help filter through who enters the store or at least be aware when one is acting inappropriately. I see someone in a different post mentioned Ross. I agree Linda B. I end up at Ross and get new items at better prices than that Savers, and there is not anyone in there asking me to buy them anything! They have security and a great team. Thanks for reading. I would absolutely advise stay away from this Savers. It is really gross and unpredictable.

I decided to check what they had here, plus I wanted to let Lisa know what had caused the problem w/ my hatch. I drove down after a late lunch, parked nearby on San Pablo and walked over to the store. When I walked in Lisa was behind the counter. I watched her interacting w/ customers, obviously regulars, as she addressed them by name. She is so warm and sweet! I asked her where the silverware was and she told me. I told her that the problem had been the battery. She was concerned that the car might have broken down somewhere and I reassured her there was enough juice to run the car but not enough to raise the hatch. I went over to where the silverware was and found three nice spoons. She told me they were $1.25 each, which is a great price. I didn't look around the store but saw several things that appealed to me which I didn't need and didn't buy. When I got to the counter to pay she was going to charge me $3.75, then remembered they were having a store wide sale to clear stuff before the Holidays and that the cost was going to be $2.25, beyond reasonable! I brought them home and put them in the dishwasher. They will serve me well.

The area is sketchy but what part of Oakland isn't. Upon entering you get a rift of smelly clothes and not enough ventilation. Store was busy so I made my way to the less crowded area and moved along. As I had filled my buggy up, I was waiting for the cashier when I glanced and saw some Alexander Mcqueen shoes in my size. I said to myself, today is my lucky day. I did knock off a star as no on greets or acknowledges you and probably they are used to people just chilling doing nothing in the store. The store could be a little organized with the shoes and general nic nacks they have on the shelves. If you looking for a bargain and things that can be washed and disaffected then don't judge and make your way over here.

Today there was a different cashier who charged me 4 items when I had 3 and told me she cannot refund me despite her mistake. She was the store manager, nice, but still. This is done purposefully. It has happened too many times to be a coincidence. Another way to boost revenue is to charge men prices for kids items. I don't have to be treated that way. I am a custimer and I have donated dozen of bags of items over the years. Will go to Savers instead.

This place is OK. I say that because it is the smallest Nordstrom rack I've ever seen, and…read moretherefore it doesn't have a very large selection of things to buy. Usually in other places when I come across a rack, I can spend hours perusing the store . This is not my first time coming here to buy something. However, I noticed that every time I buy something I leave empty-handed. The most successful thing I have managed thus far is to return some thing without any problems. But I could've done that anyway. The selection isn't fantastic. It isn't comprehensive. And right now I'd rather go to Emeryville and risk actually finding some thing I can buy, rather than come here and look around. Actually, I'd actually go to an actual Nordstrom store because I know they're gonna have what I want. It may not be at the price that I want, but it will be there!

Last night, 12/16/25, I was very disappointed with my experience at this store…read more I was looking for hosiery and asked a staff member who was restocking if they carried thigh-high tights. The associate responded with visible irritation, looked at me as though I was inconveniencing her, and handed me knee-high tights in a dismissive manner while saying, "Is this it?" I clarified that I was looking for thigh-highs, not knee-highs. Rather than engaging further, I chose to walk away. When I reached the checkout area, there were only two employees present. One was assisting a customer with an issue that ended up taking approximately thirty minutes to resolve. The other cashier was juggling a long line, around seven customers, while also helping someone who had returned to the store to have a security tag removed from their purchase. Eventually, the associate handling the unresolved issue asked for help from a manager, Joey. I assumed this was to assist with ringing up customers and reducing the growing line. Instead, the associate explained she was unable to provide a gift receipt despite trying multiple solutions. Joey, the same manager who had been dismissive during my hosiery inquiry, responded rudely to her employee, gave her an unpleasant look, and instructed her to repeat steps she had already attempted. Rather than stepping in to resolve the issue herself, Joey walked away entirely. As a customer, this was shocking to witness. The associate had been trying to resolve the issue for thirty minutes, and as management made no effort to take over, support their employee, or acknowledge the long line of customers who had been waiting patiently. Instead, the associate was left to try the same unsuccessful steps at multiple registers. Management showed no awareness of the situation on the floor, no urgency to assist customers who had been waiting for an extended period, and no respect toward their own staff. Especially during a busy weekday evening and the holiday season, this lack of leadership and efficiency was unacceptable. Nordstrom Rack, effective management should be able to read the room, support employees, and keep the store running smoothly. Experiences like this negatively affect not only customers but also staff morale, and ultimately reflect poorly on the company as a whole.
