As I am told...the thrift store in Albany and (the Elmwood, Berkeley store) are run by a few paid staff members and the rest of the work is by an incredible team of volunteers. They get everything for free and then turn it over for a huge mark up. Unfair to everyone all around, and shame on them for "being for a good cause" and making it unaffordable for those who want to support them. Used to love this location especially, but have to give it up since I can get everything for SO much cheaper anywhere else. Do better, you're for charity, don't forget your roots.

The moment I walked through the doors, I felt nothing but positive, peaceful energy. This place has always held a special place in my heart, and the nostalgia hit me instantly. There is a little something for everyone here. And an awesome place for gifts. I met Susan at a local gem show in Santa Rosa at her Lucky Handicraft booth. I can not imagine doing business with anyone else and knew that I must see her 2 stores. Go full or pack snacks because this can be an all day event. Thankfully they have a bathroom for you to use. Susan has always been so generous with me. She is very patient with me and I really like her as a person. The other staff members are very helpful. They do an excellent job of packing up your order and handling it with care. From pocket rocks to statement pieces this store has it all and it's easy to go nuts in here. Impulse control, which, I had none today......LOL They have a larger store in San Pablo and I visited both locations today. No one will beat her prices, selection or legendary deals.
