Some people say the proof is in the pudding, but I find it more in the cake decoration. There's a reason this is the longest running bakery in this location, and now I'm old enough to know for sure. Treat yo self read more

I was in the area and decided to stop for a coffee. Three Tarts came up on Yelp so I went in. Located in a small strip mall filled with several cute shops and restaurants, I found easy parking. When I entered I was surprised at the amount of beautiful baked goods in addition to tasty lattes. The staff behind the counter greeted me warmly and were very helpful. I chose a lavender latte and a buttermilk shortcake. I went out to the small patio to enjoy my delicious beverage and snack. If I am in the area again, I will definitely stop in. read more

I purchased a carrot cake from Three Tarts yesterday. It looked beautiful and they added a birthday message. I was looking forward to a delicious cake, especially since the cost was $78! We cut into the cake later that night and were extremely disappointed. It was dry, crumbly and tasteless. It was such a disappointment and somewhat embarrassing to be serving such an awful tasting cake. I won't be buying a cake there again-Mariano's or jewel would have been much better for half the price. read more

For my birthday, I bought a banana cake from Three Tarts Bakery. I loved the actual cake part, it had a great flavor. The reason for the 4 stars is because there was way too much buttercream. About half of the cake was buttercream frosting, it was too much. By the time I picked off the extra frosting, I realized there was barely any actual cake underneath. That being said, the cake tasted great and was beautifully decorated read more

I love this bakery so much. Everything is delicious but I will say that these are the best scones I have tasted outside the UK.

Three Tarts Café is a little on the pricey side, but the quality makes it absolutely worth it! I love having the option to enjoy homemade, clean desserts made with simple ingredients. Everything feels thoughtfully made and delicious. It's also the perfect spot for a lunch date or to grab a quick lunch on the go between work. Such a gem! read more

Very cute bakery! They have some nice patio seating as well as indoor tables, but wow was it busy - you know it's good if it's that popular. The one thing I didn't really like was the set-up - having never been there before, I was asked to order before I could see even half of the display case options because of the line. They seemed to be out of a lot of baked goods since it was afternoon, so get there early if you have your heart set on something! I ended up going with a chai latte, which was very good, and tried a few of their cookies. The pistachio rugelach and apricot bar were particularly delicious. Unfortunately I was waiting around for the latte and it turns out they forgot the order but couldn't have been nicer about it. Overall, worth a stop if you're in the area! read more

Excellent food and service. Lovely outdoor seating. Cookies and scones to go are great. Love the central location right off 41.

Three Tarts Bakery makes every occasion sweeter with their speciality cakes! Their cakes are always beautifully decorated, moist, and delectable. I also love that they partner with local businesses for their produce! I have yet to try their cafe foods but looking forward to it on my next trip to Northfield. Thank you Three Tarts Bakery for your exceptional service and cakes! read more

Came here to try their banana cake and it was very good. The icing is a little on the sweeter side but the cake itself was very moist. I also had their chicken noodle soup which was very good. Ambiance and service were both great! If you're ordering to-go just keep in mind that you'd pick up your items in the hallway. read more

my husband bought me a birthday cake there. It was a coconut cake and it was one of the best coconut cakes. I've tasted my family loved it. I recommend this place 100%. read more

I went here on a whim after a dentist appointment because it was close by. It was a cute bakery in the middle of a small shopping mall. The people at the counter were super friendly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino, and a piece of cake, which totaled $25. The breakfast sandwich was not overall good; however, the bread was. I can't say that the chocolate cake was impressive either. It was fine, as was the cappuccino. For the price point, I'd want to be impressed, but I was not. I would give the place another chance if I were in the area in the future. read more

I really like this place Cakes are delicious and place is friendly We do have dietary issues with gluten and nuts and they can generally accommodate this with enough notice. We did order a holiday cake that was to be nut and gluten free Unfortunately they didn't deliver by giving us a cake that was neither. So we couldn't eat the cake and it was a bummer since it was our holiday dessert. They did refund it money as they should since we couldn't eat the cake but offered no resolution like some thing for the hassle? I guess the refund is fine but we couldn't eat the cake anyways? read more

I hadn't heard of this place but was nearby and stopped in to get a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was ok. But luckily I didn't realize that you pick up online orders on the shelf in the hallway because I wouldn't have stopped inside the shop. Their gingerbread cookies are sooooo good! That was a nice little treat. Their ginger chocolate chip muffin was something I haven't really seen before and that was pretty good too. I would happily stop in again if I was nearby. read more

Even cuter a shop in person than online! Initially, I found this delightful bakery online when seeking special desserts for my cousins 98th birthday. Today is her 101st birthday, so I worked with three tarts bakery to coordinate a couple trays of delicious pastries. The staff was very friendly! They organized and coordinated, beautiful platters, even tying them with a beautiful red ribbon. The shop is adorable! It is small and located within the shops at Northfield Village Square with plenty of parking. The café has indoor seating aside from pastries and coffee, this café has a nice menu. Highly recommend. read more

Small little cafe, delicious but a bit expensive. It was frustrating that prices were not marked clearly for new customers. I ended up going to the register blind. The lemon raspberry muffin was ok, mostly raspberry flavor, very little lemon. But the blueberry muffin was fantastic. I'd be curious to try more of their items (especially the cookies!) but it's definitely going to be a rare treat at over $5 per muffin. read more

Stopped in for a cup of a coffee with an acquaintance. I'd heard good things from a few people, and I wanted a non-chain based location that was about halfway between our two locations. Super cute ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as neither of us had been before. All of the baked goods looked amazing and I still regret not picking anything up to enjoy with my coffee or later at home. I suppose that means I'll just have to come back! Easy location to get to, and there's plenty of lot parking. Glad to find another local gem to support. read more

Always fresh. Always tasty. I especially love their scones and cinnamon rolls. . Love that it's walking distance from home.

The breakfast sandwich was very tasty. They sell a lot of packaged baked goodies that look good enough to be given someone as a gift. There is also a freezer with soups that you can take home. Service was good but not overly friendly. When in the area, I would stop by to pick up a sandwich or a pastry but would not make a special trip, nor would I come here for a date. While the outside looks nice, the inside is not cozy enough for a cute sit-down meal. read more

My daughter and I were standing in line to order lunch. When it was our turn we were told by the rude girl "sorry, the kitchen closed 2 minutes ago". WHAT?! There were people in front of us and behind us in line. The restaurant was full of people but apparently they didn't want the business. We went down the street and were graciously welcomed at The Northfield Restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. We definitely won't be going back. 6/20/2025 read more

Came in early right when it opened and grabbed a Buttermilk shortcake, like a muffin to go. It was flavorful and dense and moist. At $3.25 not overly priced too compared to some other places. The staff was friendly and very willing to help. Will have to try some other bakery items here someday. The shortbread cookies are quite good here too. read more

Where to start. We have been coming here for years. The bakery goods are off the hook. Never had anything from here that was not delicious. A bit pricy but worth the money! I would not recommend coming hungry, lol. If nothing else get the cinnamon rolls, or butter cookies. read more

Three Tarts Bakery is one of my favorite local spots for both their menu and their baked goods. Their vegan chocolate zucchini muffins are incredible--rich, moist, and full of flavor--and I'm a big fan of their oat milk lattes, too. The staff and managers are always warm and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. I also love their sunflower bread; it's so good that I often request my sandwiches on it. The food is solid for lunch yet overpriced for what you get. Everything is a la carte except their lunch combo. Online ordering has been a great addition, though the service remains slow. I'm glad they now open at 7am, it adds to accessibility for the before work crew. read more

Packed on a Saturday morning. Online ordering disabled, line out the door, people waiting in the hallways for their orders. Our to go order was prepared quickly and we ate in our car. The Buen Dia Ham and Egg Sandwich was delicious. Fluffy bread, tasty ham, soft eggs, cheese, and a nice sauce with a tiny kick of spice. We took home a cinnamon roll and french baguette for later. 2 sandwiches and 2 bakery items for just under $40 was quite steep, but we have no regrets supporting this small but growing local business. read more

Review written during Covid-19: This is one of my favorite spots to lunch, especially after Shred415 (right across the street) kicks my butt. I've been missing it during Covid-19, but they do have delivery and pick up options available. They also have delicious looking family meals for Wed and Fri evenings that typically sell out soon after they post them on their website on Sundays. When I needed to pick up a cake for a friend's 40th bday zoom last week Three Tarts was my first thought. I called the day before to pre-order, but they said since it was supper club night they weren't taking orders, but to call the morning of to see what they had available. I did just that and they had a few different choices, but I went w/ their typical birthday cake and they even said they'd inscribe it for me (wasn't expecting that the day of). I picked it up hours later and it was waiting for me at a side table right outside of the restaurant. I did have to go in, but felt safe since there wasn't really anyone else around. The bday girl said it was absolutely delicious we watched her devour it while on our zoom....the only time I've ever been able to resist bday cake. :) Bday celebrations may look a bit different these days, but there will always be cake and can't go wrong with a cake from here. read more

Food was scrumptious, service pretty good! But... We had wanted to stay for lunch but it's a tiny uncomfortable place to eat, and there were no openings anyway. Tables on top of each other. Every patron seemed to be rude, too. Looking at phones, walking into you, bumping you left and right. We ended up choosing a few items and ate in our car. Biscotti very tasty. Scones very fresh and not too heavy. Apricot blossoms delightful. Arnold Palmer drinks were refreshing. While waiting to be helped, an employee came and took what I had been carrying and added it to his walking order pad. Gave him more for the order. He added everything and placed the order for me. Told me to stand in line and just give cashier my name. It was quite simple from that point on. Personable girls working the counter. read more

Quaint little bakery and cafe located next to The Happ Inn Bar and Grill. They have an extensive menu which include a variety of breakfast, sandwiches, sweets and treats, and beverages...not to mention the plethora of baked goods right in front of you as you order. I went with my sister's recommendation: Joe's breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, cheese on sunflower millet bread. She had the avocado toast with egg. Both were freshly-made and delicious. The black iced tea complemented the sandwich perfectly. This is a great breakfast place. We also picked up a bag of chocolate chip cookies. There's plenty of parking in this shopping center. read more

Hey Three Tarts Bakery and Cafe you call this a chicken salad sandwich? Not sure how it takes 20 minutes to prepare this sandwich with barely any chicken salad. I work in the area and have frequented your bakery numerous times over the past 5 years. Breakfast remains solid but for the price and long wait, this lunch that doesn't even come with chips or a mini cookie is not worth it. Complete disappointment. If I hadn't requested the addition of lettuce and tomato this sandwich would be skimpier than what a kindergarten student brings to lunch. read more

Picked up a coconut cake yesterday. Brought it home and ate it a few hours later. BY FAR THE WORST CAKE IVE EVER HAD. This cake MUST HAVE BEEN made about 4-5 days prior to my purchasing it. They most likely kept it in the fridge until some chump bought it. Unfortunately, that chump was me. You would think a bakery makes fresh cakes daily, but NOT three tarts. The cake was sooooo dry, it was inedible. The frosting tasted old and like it came out of a fridge (after 4 days of not being sold). Wasted 40$, no one ate it and threw it out this morning. Never return. And not recommended. AVOID this bakery. Don't listen to fake reviews. Please stay away. You are better off buying a cake from jewel. read more

The best banana cake! We have ordered a full cake a few times and have also taken individual slices. The breakfast sandwich is made to order. The bread is always fresh and delicious! Despite the great tasting cakes, scones, and pies here, I'll no longer be a customer. In reviewing my credit card receipts from last month, I found that someone had decided to add a hefty $35 and change tip to my receipt when I purchased a few baked goods on the side of a large custom cake and pie order. As I'm sure my loss wasn't a priority, resolution of the discrepancy was pushed back 3 days due to a holiday and bakery closure. I got a verbal commitment to receive a follow up call Thursday, but I had to proactively dial up Three Tarts when I hadn't heard anything by mid afternoon that day. After 2 more phone exchanges, I got confirmation that I would be refunded my money. Really upsetting, insulting, and annoying. That's called fraud, and it doesn't leave a good taste in the mouth. Fair or not, the actions of this one greedy individual represented the bakery, and I hope management takes the right steps in addressing the employment of that shady person, as I'm sure I wasn't the first to be subject to this individual's greed. read more

Every time I buy something from here, I regret it and tell myself I'm never going back. But I somehow get desperate and end up back. First off, be careful when you grab their pre packed cookies, danish, coffee cakes, etc. Nothing is priced so you end up at the register shocked with the total. Like almost $40 for 2 packs of cookies. Not to mention, they were stale and obvious it was sitting on the counter for at least 3-5 days. I have also purchased a bday cake here bc a neighbor recommended it. It was thee worst tasting cake. Dry, no flavor, just embarrassing to my guests. It was decorated nicely but thats it. Also way over priced for a cake that was prob made 3 days prior. At least. I don't mind paying up. But let it be delicious and fresh. I just don't trust this bakery. I promised myself not to get desperate and go there bc it's 3 mins away. I'll travel to go to a bakery that has fresh, high quality pastries. read more
