    Three Sisters Vineyards, Dahlonega

Tasty wines here in North Georgia wine country. After visiting a handful of tasting rooms in the area, there are good ones and there are great ones. We opted to purchase a bottle and the three of us shared it while talking and enjoying the warm spring afternoon. The wine was great. I'm not sure what I think about the tasting room here. Service was good though a bit hands off. I am curious as to why they're using stemless glasses?. Yes, they're less likely to fall over but as you handle them, you warm the wine. Great tasting room, impressive wines. I recommend the Cynthiana, the French oak chardonnay, and the sparkling white. Priced at $25 per 4 sample flight, the pour is generous. Service is friendly and informative but not pushy.

One of our stops as we tour more wineries. This was a really nice place to enjoy one, or more of their wines. We grabbed a red and a white flight, took a seat outside and enjoyed the day. My fav wine was the Cynthiana. Dry and fruity.

My sister and I had an amazing time. It's a scenic winery with tasty wine. The person working the front was nice and helpful. We can't wait to return.

Well, this wasn't part of our scheduled stop but I'm glad we found this place. Three Sisters is located right behind Frogtown Winery (same driveway) and isn't a huge place. Very limited on selection and seating. However, they were open and taking people w/o reservations. Parking isn't huge here. They basically have a very small tasting room, with an outside patio attached to it overlooking a pond. I'd say it could probably hold 45-50 people, counting inside and out. You start at the register and pre-select the wines you want to taste. It's $20 per person for 4 tastes. Not cheap but not expensive. They give you a number and then you wait. The pours are about 1/3 the size of a normal glass of wine, and come in nice little stemless glasses (we bought two of those for $5 each). You can also purchase bottles of wine in the shop, snacks and glasses of wine. I tried the Merlot, Cab-Franc, Chardonnay (Unoaked) and Pinot Blanc. The Cab-Franc was my favorite followed by the Pinot Blanc. The Merlot smelled amazing but was too light for me. I wasn't a fan of the Chardonnay. We decided to order a full glass and I got the Joe Pye Dry. It was certainly my favorite of them all. They also served up wine slushees. My gf loved the Georgia Cuvée Sparkling (it was delicious and fruity). They have an open barn here too where you can sit and order wine, plus hear live music. We did make our way towards the barn and enjoyed the scenery from the grass. Overall, a nice experience and very pleased they were open after we drove to visit Kaya and Frogtown with no success. I'd recommend!

Took the kids to Consolidated Gold Mine for the morning, the afternoon was for the 'rents... One of us had been to Three Sisters Vineyards a while back - think bachelorette event - and remembered a large field. Well, since we had 5 kids in tow, a large field was ideal. Today there was live music by Mike Chaett - solo guitarist/singer. He sang some of the classics and honestly, it was background music to my gang. Five kids are a little loud and require a lot of attention, so while I cant remark on him, I do recall Mr. Chaett was a great vocalist/guitarist. There was also EggRoll Boyz food truck in the lot feeding the masses. Ok, review on them to come next, but let me just say I appreciated the food truck in the lot. It's nice to have substantial food to snack on while tasting wines. Ok, back to the vineyard...my husband is not a "white wine" guy so I got him Blood Mountain Red - it was hot out and I felt like he needed a red that wasnt "heavy". Blood Mountain Red was delicious...slightly sweet, but still a little more solid than a white. I got the Pinot Blanc to begin with. Delicious, slightly sweet, not dry...yum. The girls left the boys with the kids and went into the Tasting Room for a break. We did not wear our masks inside the tasting room, but the part of the staff had theirs on. We ordered the flights...$20 for 4 tastes. The Chestatee White was my favorite.. "Blend Of Pinot Blanc And Vidal Blanc, This Crisp, Off-Dry White Wine Is A Crowd Pleaser.  With Similar Qualities To A Pinot Grigio, Chestatee White Has Notes Of Apple And Honeydew.  You Don't Even Need A Reason!" Yup...fav. For other descriptions, I suggest you visit and decide for yourself.

This place is so cute!! We really enjoyed all of the wines and the atmosphere is nice too. Service was good and the staff is friendly. We were so happy to be able to get to a winery after driving all the way up to Dahlonega as the first couple ones we passed were either closed for a private event or not taking any more customers. So Three Sisters was a very pleasant surprise and saved the day. One thing I felt was lacking was the option for food, though they do have some packaged snacks available so you're not totally without, just very limited options.

I had my crew up from Chattanooga in town, and we couldn't have picked a better spot to celebrate. We kicked things off at the main restaurant for brunch, and honestly, the vibes there never miss. I wanted to keep it a bit lighter since I knew we'd be exploring, so I went with a crisp glass of wine, some fresh focaccia, and the Thai Butternut Squash Soup. That soup was incredible. It was perfectly creamy with just the right kick. Everything hit the table so fast, and the service was on point. My friend even surprised me with a lemon drop cupcake, which was the sweetest touch to a chill afternoon on the patio. After we ate, we headed out for a tour and I was honestly shook by how massive this property is. I've been here before, but I had no idea the trails went back that far. The views are unreal and made for the perfect post-brunch stroll. By the time we finished the trail, we'd worked up a second appetite, so we finally hit up Trattoria di Montaluce. I usually skip it because the brunch normally leaves me stuffed, but I'm so glad we went for it this time. That wood-fired Margherita pizza was easily the best I've had in a minute. There's just something about that wood-fired crust that hits differently! This has seriously been the best birthday month ever, and everyone coming into town to celebrate has made it so special. Of course, I couldn't leave without hitting the gift shop for that coconut scrub. If you know, you know. This stuff makes your hands feel like velvet. It's a total staple. I'm already planning my next trip back to see more of the grounds. WINES: Tyler, owner & winemaker, poured for us and provided excellent details on his wines, the winery, and North Georgia winemaking in general. We spoke with him for quite some time, enjoying our shared tastings, and even getting to sample a couple barrel tastings of some upcoming reds. Tyler uses fruit from Georgia, as well as California, Washington, Texas, and more. He offers a wide variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines, including a couple varietals not commonly known to the everyday wine drinker. There are also wine cocktails and mocktails, should you desire something a little different. As I always say when it comes to wines, what I like/dislike may be different than you, so I suggest that you give them a try for yourselves. The quality of Accent's wines was the best we experienced on this trip to the North Georgia Wine Country, and the ambiance and service were fantastic! I highly recommend you check them out.

But why on earth have us sample them when they aren't available for purchase? Oh, I know. Join their Citizens Wine Club and get them shipped. And that's the entire focus. They pushed the club to the point we were uncomfortable. Also, the educational push was much. Georgia grapes. California grapes. Swish. Don't swish. Aerate. Don't aerate. Don't refrigerate whites. It's not super easy to find! Dahlonega has lots of interesting twists and turns and back alley shops and some shops blended in so well with other places, that a random door opens up to more unique experiences. So, that's how we found this place. We were waiting to get our names in for Bourbon Street Grille, and this random door behind us boasted wine tasting. I thought it was just a one room deal behind us. When you see the door and the shop, you'll fully understand. If you like wine, this is worth it and a MUCH better deal than the Wine Festival (which is what we came for). It's not a big place and technically only has about 8 seats at the bar for tasting. Thankfully, it seemed all the festival goers didn't know about this place (bc it's totally a Harry Potter hidden type of deal) so we got 4 seats. The kids roamed around the shop while we tried wine. The flights are $12/$16 based off the wines you want. They have white, red, blended and rose. Oh, check in on Yelp and receive one free taste of any wine (I used mine)!!! I did the Rose, Merlot, Vidal Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and the Petit Manseng. Loved the Merlot (had a spicy after taste) the most! Then the Pinot Grigio. The Petit Manseng is their strongest wine but was my least favorite. However, I tasted the Trillium from someone else's in our group and LOVED IT. We ended up buying a bottle of Mtn Harvest Red plus the Apfelwein (the lady described it so well and made us want to get a bottle). I can honestly say I had such a buzz from the flight that I stopped drinking when we went to go eat. The wine was really good and certainly hit, so be careful! Totally worth checking this place out, if you can find it!!!
