The OEM transfer belt was defective, no fault of theirs I assume, but refusal to admit there is a problem with it after overwhelming evidence to the contrary including trying another part they recommended (which was mislabeled and wrong the first time) and paying $200 for technician plus hours of my own time did not feel like competence on this end. I finally solved the problem by removing the belt from the "new" one they sent and putting it on my transfer unit. Admittedly, a new unit coming with a broken roller retainer is not a standard occurrence, but stuff happens.
