I've been going here for about 4 years since moving back to the area and have had more great experiences than I can count. Staff ALWAYS greets me as I enter the store and they never ignore me when shopping. Employees know the store like the back of their hand and don't hesitate to help with propane outside or with loading up bags of soil. Very knowledgable people overall. Selection is mind blowing and I've come here for everything ranging from nuts/bolts to mower blades and Christmas decorations. The ONLY negative is that I've noticed an influx of younger guys working there who aren't as knowledgable or professional. They normally walk around giggling with other employees and have no clue what the store has available. Take the good with the bad..

Second, the ladies area, they have a large section at the entrance of the store of accessories, colorful garden items and currently Mother's Day items. Right after that is a small area with kids items. It is brilliant marketing. Third, every department was well staffed: cashiers, paint guy, several garden staff members, pick up order team members. Fourth, my pickup order was ready in less than 15 minutes. The staff offered multiple times to load my car for me. Fifth, the coupon they put in my bag for a percent of my next order. What meant the most to me as someone starting their very first garden is that no one made me feel silly for being a beginner. They were patient, encouraging, and genuinely helpful. They're also incredibly informative and helpful. I recently purchased some herbs from Ed's and their team meets you at the entrance to try to guide and assist you. It's a nice touch. Once you move on to the area where the herbs are, other folks will assist you there as well. Additionally, the selection of herbs is superior and more varied than what you'd find in the nearby home stores. Ed's also carries a ton of flowers - fortunately they are around to answer questions because the selection can be overwhelming. Bottom line: there is no better place in the area for landscape that beats Ed's. Even for Christmas trees or herbs.
