I work in the Precedent office park so the convenience of being able to squeeze in a workout during lunch is awesome! Peak times are usually 12-1 PM but it is never so crowded that you can't get your workout in. Wayne is extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend checking this gym out!

The Monon Community Center is amazing in so many ways. I love the variety of the gym equipment available, even though I mostly only use the ellipticals. I love the knowledgeable instructors who teach the yoga classes; some of these people have had such an impact in my life. I love the friendly people behind the counter who are supremely helpful and kind every day. This is a peaceful and clean and welcoming gym for everyone. It's a play to get healthy and stay healthy physically and mentally.

While LA does have more to offer, I never felt comfortable working out there. So many lunk heads and judgey stares. From the minute I walked in, I knew it would be a completely different experience. Sean, the assistant manager, knows my name and always smiles and says hello. This goes a long way in my book. At the big box gyms, you're just a face in a million. I always come on my lunch hour to lift and never have issues getting to any piece of equipment. The have a great weight room with a large selection of machines and free weights. The equipment is older and not shiny and new, but it's all functional and safe, so who cares? The cardio selection is decent, lots of treadmills, several ellipticals, lots of bikes and a few stair masters. I can't speak to their classes, I've never taken any. The sauna is nice and hot as hell. Locker rooms are older, but again, functional. All around, this is a highly recommended facility. Speaking as a woman that frequently works out alone, I very much enjoy my time at CTF and look forward to working out now more than ever.

If you are a member you can go to all of Indianapolis Ys and there are locations across the country that will allow you to go when you are out of town. This location is my favorite even though it isn't the closest to my home it has early morning classes that I enjoy going to. I have tried a variety of classes that they offer from Pilates to Les Mills Grit and all of the instructors that I have come across have been welcoming and supportive when trying something new. If you are looking for a good place for you and your family to get moving this is a great option.

Drawback is that it's not the cheapest membership ever. Overall I recommend. Helpful staff. Clean facility. Decent amount of lifting opportunities.
