This is a solid LifeTime location with very friendly staff. They are super welcoming! The location is nice and clean, even featuring some equipment my home location doesn't have--massage chairs, cooling chairs, and a hydro massage chair. I've been a member of Lifetime since 2017. My experience at other locations has been good, but not with the Caselton location. I've had a concern that I've been trying to discuss with the manager for nearly 2 months. Unfortunately, the manager is not working when I've called which I guess is fine. The real issue is the lack of response to my voicemails. The more time that passes, the less likely I am to get my concern resolved. Not only is the lack of response rude, but it also lacks the level of customer service members pay for. Truly disappointed. read more

I have been a member here since 2000. There have been lots of changes but one consistent is how dirty it is. I sat in the sauna when I looked down and the filth on the floor was too much ! I wish the owners would fix this because then it would get five stars! read more

I've been working out at this location for a few months and it's been the best experience I've had at a gym in my lifetime. (Pun intended) The post work hour is very busy, I don't recommend trying to do much at that time but the gym has capacity for even a busy hour. This is the worst lifetime I have ever been to in my life, and I have visited over 20 lifetime locations. This place is filthy, dust all over the walls and ceilings. Dirty windows that never get washed. Locker room towels not replenished frequently. Employees texting and wearing airpods. Rude employees. But the worst part of this club is the general manager, Ken Scott who has allowed all of this to happen. Theres no accountability. read more

Lots of equipment although most is a bit outdated. Also, no restroom on the workout floor...only on locker room. Lastly, most LTF facilities at the price point of this LTF facility have conditioner available in the showers. This LTF needs to improve amenities and offer their members the same amenities offered at other LTF facilities across the country which have the same price point. read more

I came over to Life Time Castle Creek after the North Meridian location closed. I had been a long time member at North Meridian and was familiar with the staff and gym regulars. After asking about other gyms in the area and thinking I would save money and switch I couldn't bring myself to do it. I had to go where I would know the culture of the gym and some of the great fitness instructors, even if it meant dealing with rush hour traffic to make it to some evening classes. My first few times were an adjustment but now after 2.5 months here Im staying. Im still learning my way around some places and I haven't gotten to take advantage of all the amenities but I will before the end of the year. read more

The gym smelled weird, half the equipment is outdated, and the pool needs major help.

Horrible Management and a gym that is outdated, unclean, and overcharges its members. Have been a member for over 10 years between this location and one off Meridian that closed down. Numerous times over the last 6 months I have complained to management about unclean showers, feces on bathroom floor in toilet paper, and equipment that is never wiped down. Mold and dust on ceilings, hair and dust upstairs on equipment - gross. They are now replacing flooring upstairs, adding some new equipment, but are failing on all levels of customer service. $98 a month for a gym that is outdated and management that is no different than Planet Fitness. No thanks, I just cancelled my membership. read more

Although I'm not a member, I've visited this gym enough times as a guest to have formed a positive opinion - it's a great gym! They have numerous pieces of equipment (all nice and clean), a basketball court, sauna, whirlpool, inside pool, personal training opportunities and a good amount of classes that are offered on site. I've been impressed with their customer service and they have sent a follow up survey via email after every visit. Although not everyone appreciates getting emailed a survey, I understand its importance and appreciate that the gym cares about its customer's experience. Even guests. If I had to choose my favorite part about this particular gym, it would likely be the sauna. Haha read more

I'm really surprised the reviews are so poor for this place. Everyone from the staff has been very friendly so far, and It's a pretty good price considering the huge selection of free classes and fancy amenities. The instructors at the classes are really nice about working with your fitness level, it's open close to 24 hours (4am-12pm) and the amenities are amazing. I am a huge fan of the eucalyptus steam room. There's even a rock climbing wall. I think they could work a bit on cleanliness- sometimes I see scraps of plastic or forgotten water bottles and towels laying around longer than I would like. But it's certainly not filthy and has great upkeep for the large number of people going through every day. They have a cafe and a spa too- I haven't tried the spa yet but the cafe has some good food. I really like their PB AND B shake a lot. read more

Reading the LifeTime business Code of Conduct and they say they believe in doing the right thing. However they charged my account for 1 year, almost $100 dollars a month, unbeknownst to me. I feel taking advantage of and I don't feel like they look at me as a number only. They say they believe in doing the right thing yet I did not attend the gym aftr I canceled in person. And when I find out I was still being charged there was nothing they could do. I hate that I trusted this gym. I'm out of $1000 and they just keep thriving by covering up with " warm welcomes". We came to this club because of their indoor water slides that my kid with special needs enjoys the most. The schedule on the web-site says water slides are working 1-6pm Sat and Sunday. So we planned our visit accordingly. But in the actuality, the slide was just turned off when we came there around 4:30pm. I was told they don't have staff so they can't turn it on. I tried to call them before the visit but nobody answered. So there is no way to plan your visit properly. After another lifeguard arrived, we waited for 15 more minutes before they turned the slide on. Apparently, the first guard needed to have a good rest after staring at an empty pool for some time. I get it, sometimes issues happen. But why there is no way for customers to be informed about it? Disappointed customer. read more

Extremely disappointed in this company. After being a member for over 10 years, my membership was cancelled after the dynamics of my family unit changed. Although, myself and children shared a membership with a very spiteful person who decided to remove our names (account had my phone number, my address) I went in to reinstate my membership and I was treated with absolute disrespect. I was also quoted a much higher rate. I was also NOT notified of the change. All of this was done behind my back. Lifetime lost a lifetime member. Brand new gyms in the area just opened word much better rates. I also called corporate and Lisa was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Leaving this gym was a blessing in disguise. Pros: -24 hours -Cafe (non vegans) -Rock wall -Daycare -In/Outdoor pool -Spa (hair, massages) -A lot of equipment (dirty, but plentiful) Cons: -Overpriced -Bathrooms are EXTREMELY filthy! There was blood on the bathroom walls for days straight, even after I mentioned it. Tissue products low, dirty towels over flowing. The equipment and mats never get wiped down. The wipes are dried out. -The cafe does not offer vegan options even though it's on the menu. I've complained about the cafe staff several times for attitude problems. -No parking. You have to pay extra to be a "diamond club member" for guaranteed spots. -The gym is upstairs, but have to walk down to locker rooms to use the bathroom. -Young teens do NOT get basketball time. The adults take over the gym and there's nothing that can be down about that. -Need more evening/weekend classes -Very rude customer service. read more

This is my gym! I work out here as often as time allows me! The steam room is my favorite place to be after a long work out. I have been a member for 8 years when it was open 24 hours. That really put a damper on my work outs. They are open until 12am now but i still loved a good 2am work out. read more

My daughter attended a birthday party here and is begging to have her birthday (10 months from now) there as well. The kids had a party room where they had pizza and cupcakes, and they were able to leave their things in the room while they did rock climbing and then swimming. I didn't see the rock climbing area, but the pool area was huge and very nice (but hot! The woman at the front desk warned me to take my coat off before going in, and she wasn't kidding!). The kids loved the play pool and the slide the most. The locker room area was also surprisingly clean, and the staff members I encountered were all very nice. read more

I'm not going to lie. I have always wanted to join this place since moving to Indy almost 15 years ago (or when it was built, whichever applies). It's really convenient to work and home for me. So my rule of thumb is not to walk into a gym unless I'm pretty much ready to join. It can be high pressure sales if you're not. Lifetime really does have it all though: a leisure pool, lap pool, hot tubs, saunas, bball courts, workout floor with tons of equipment, and even a cafe and salon! They offer childcare too. My membership cost is what I was paying elsewhere for just one service. They offer events too so there's always something to look forward to. Some classes/events are extra above what you pay for membership. You can go monthly or agree to a year to lower your monthly price. I like options! Everyone has been really friendly and I love the facilities. They're clean and comfortable. I even get 1 guest pass per month so if you want to go with me sometime, message me because you really need to see this place! I won't get bored which is key to me maintaining my fitness. There are 2 other locations around town (albeit with fewer amenities as they are bronze level clubs) so find the one that works for you. A note about layout: their spa massage rooms are down the hall and near the lockerrooms and across from the basketball courts. Depending on the time of day, it can get rather loud outside the room even though you're receiving the most amazing massage. I wish they could have incorporated those rooms into the regular spa, but there's really no room unless they completely renovate the building. I'd really love them to renovate this place as it is definitely an older club. Personally, I enjoy group fitness classes as it is fun to make friends as you "suffer" together and adds a layer of accountability. There is a wide variety of classes on the schedule every week so there's something for just about everyone. Every single performer (aka instructor) is friendly, remembers your name usually after one class, and is ready to help with whatever you might need. I've really improved my fitness level and community of friends since joining! read more

I Really love the Lifetime workout area. Very nice facility and clean locker rooms. They have a nice variety of workout classes. If you have a ton of money you could really take advantage of the spa while working out as well. On the other hand the music at the pool is terrible! I'm here to relax and it's as if they think we're at a techno club on Spring Break In Daytona Beach. On top of that the slides are rarely ever open. Last year the outdoor cafe was open frequently, I have not seen it open even one time this year. This was a really nice perk when it was available and it has taken the convenience level down. I started going here when I was 5 years old. I took private swim lessons as a young child here. I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to be a member here off and on over the years. The pool is my absolute favorite. Specifically I love the water slides. I appreciate that it doesn't matter whether I'm a kid or an adult-but that I can still go down the water slide quickly. I am a bit disappointed that currently it's only open on the weekends. However I'm glad they still have the same slides after all these years. The staff is always very friendly and I am thankful they have life guards on staff. A life time fitness life guard saved me when I was about 5 from drowning. I had gone down the water slide and panicked when I hit the water. So please watch your kids extra careful! Thankfully the lifeguard jumped in immediately as I sunk to the bottom. It's always a relaxing time at lifetime. The facility appears very clean and it's always nice to visit. read more

We joined Lifetime to have childcare, this one might as well not have it... they are not intentional with your kids at all, they simply check the boxes and call you if anything comes up that calls for effort. Trust me, go to the Meridian location if you have children, they are amazing! Unless you need to hit the pool, but don't plan on working out, just take the fam to the pool because the kids care will drop the ball. The weights and everything else is the usual lifetime high quality, hence the 2 stars, childcare for this location deserves 1 read more

This is so expensive compared to other clubs. When I first saw the price I was sure that it must be a mistake and be an annual amount since it's close to the price of an annual membership at most gyms. I only care about access to a pool, not all the other stuff and that price is insane! read more

It's like one stop shop for all entertainment and fitness requirements. You have full service gym here with optional personal trainer. There are Full size basketball court ,rock climbing and swimming pool. They also have various workshops and programs for people of all ages. Summer camp for kids is another attraction. If you want use the Lap pool, you'll be disappointed! Lack of hiring lifeguards and arranging their schedules when the place is open might be a hassle. They do not notified when lifeguards are not scheduled so you go and you cannot swim. They do apologize but is worthless when you waste your time and you know that (management) doesn't pay attention to details. Poor management! read more

For a Lifetime facility this is the worst one I've attended. Poor weight room housecleaning, machines too close together & surprisingly this place is ALWAYS busy. Update due to Brittany's reply; Please let the manager know about often times there are no clean towels upstairs, you allow a weight lifter to bring his own bag of chalk, the dumbells are always out of place and spreadout over the floor, the shower area often is out of large towels, and you have a personal trainer that likes to solicit on the floor. read more

It's sad this is 'the best' gym in "Indy" (it's located in Castleton) there's very little competition in Indy for full scale and full service gyms and is probably why lifetime is successful here. They don't have much competition and don't have to try very hard. Staff is mostly friendly. I think this gym would have higher marks for families. It's very family oriented with an outdoor pool, cafe, basket ball, and other stuff I don't personally utilize but is nice for kids. I moved to LA for a few years and joined a full service gym with much more amenities and it cost the same as lifetime...Some equipment is good, and some is kinda old. Equipment is usually relatively clean for a busy gym. The worst part of Lifetime is the over priced cost and membership tier levels. I pay extra for access to one additional club a couple of miles away on Meridian St and can't use any other clubs either. Reactivating my membership when I moved back to Indy meant paying a bunch of fees despite paying them just a few years earlier. Lots of going back and fourth with membership sales was super annoying and made me feel like I was buying a car. Of course since then if I have any questions they don't really get back to me. Also- men's locker rooms are hit or mess. Drains in showers smell awful. Shower fixtures often broken. Shower curtains are gross. Soap dispensers either broken, not full, or dirty... I wish another full service brand would come into Indy so there was another option for a more premium gym where you actually get what you pay for. Not a terrible gym but two stars for lack of help by membership services and management post enrolling and the value for what you get. read more

Writing a review for a gym seems silly, but I want to share why I joined. I had been a long time member of another chain in Indy. Their service and equipment wasn't up to snuff anymore and my favorite instructor was leaving. The cost for Life Time is more than most gyms, but this frugal momma says it's worth it! Most classes are included in your membership, there are paid classes available. These tend to be smaller class sizes and more personalized. Seriously, check out Josh's Boxing class there. The facility is clean, has many amenities, and the staff is friendly. My son loves the kid's area. He doesn't mind spending time there since they have a basketball court, indoor climbing maze, and tablets. Plus childcare hours are decent for my schedule. My favorite part is the steam room. Can I just stay in there forever? The cardio equipment and weights areas are clean. It doesn't feel gross. It's weird to see staff on the floor cleaning equipment even during high traffic times. It's growing on me, but I still miss the smaller gym, as I don't use any of the Castle Creek extras like the gyms, rock climbing wall, cafe, salon, etc. Pros: - Spacious and clean - Friendly staff - Eucalyptus steam room - Plenty of water full stations - Good variety of equipment Cons: - The clientele. While there is a lot of variety, the gym bros and Instagram models are the majority, and you constantly have to deal with their loud music, loud grunts, constantly flexing and posing in front of the mirrors, photo shoots, and video shoots. They're obnoxious. And for someone who doesn't feel comfortable in a gym, I hate constantly moving so I won't be in their videos. - The sauna is co-ed and was hard to find (it's in the main pool area). I much prefer being able to strip down to a towel and sitting in the dry heat after a workout like the other life time, but you can't do that here! - The price. Since I only use the gym, I'm paying more for the same amount of services. I wish there was a way just to pay for what I use. - Lack of benches and squat racks. I was hoping they'd take equipment from Meridian. For a gym this size to only have five or so benches is odd. I end up waiting a lot. read more

I don't live in the area, but I was getting my car fixed and had some time to kill. I googled salons in the area and was pretty surprised that Lifetime Fitness showed up in the results. I called ahead to see if they had any appointments available and if I needed a membership to the gym to get a cut. Luckily, they had an open slot that fit with my schedule, and I didn't need a membership, so I decided to give it a shot. I'm always nervous about getting a cut because I am a man with natural platinum blonde hair that is down past my shoulders and since my hair type isn't common even the most high-end salons have a tendency to butcher it. Staff and manager were very friendly and welcoming. My stylist was Courtney and what can I say, other than she knocked it out of the park. She had great energy and was super personable. She was meticulous in checking over everything and then asking for feedback to make sure that everything was up to my satisfaction. I was being indecisive on length and originally told her two inches off. After she did what I asked, I requested she take off another inch. Then after she did that, I requested that she actually take off another inch. I think most stylists would have gotten at least a little irritated, but she just smiled and said, " No problem at all!" On top of that she washed my hair and treated it with some magical product that made it smooth as silk and feel great. I don't think my hair has ever looked this good in my life and will definitely be going back! read more

Great facility and staff! I loved going to this gym. I was a member for a year and attempted to cancel my membership because I was moving. I thought it was done correctly initially but the staff did not cancel my membership and continued to bill me. I attempted to get a refund since I was out of the state and not using my membership anymore. They would not refund me and because "I didn't provide a 30 day notice" I ended up paying two additional months because the staff didn't do it correctly the first time. Super outdated, grimy gym. Cancelled my membership & was then charged for 3 months after I cancelled. Had to speak to Kenny, the GM, was super rude & condescending & refused to acknowledge that the error was on their end & also refused to try to resolve my issue in any way. Really regret joining. Overpriced for what you get. The equipment is old & dirty. Stay away. UPDATE- I ran into Kenny, the GM, a couple months after posting this review & he was very threatening, intimidating. It was like a very threatening sexual harassment that includes berating me. Top notch employees! read more
