After years of horrible tattoo experiences and laser tattoo removal, I finally found the artists at Badfish (now called Three Hammers) I've worked with Anthony and Peter and thanks to them, I can wear sleeves and shorts again! Anthony turned one big mess of an arm in to a cohesive, gorgeous sleeve. He's done my hips, back, sides, arm sleeve, shin tattoo, forearm tattoo, and now a full leg sleeve. I can't say enough good things about Anthony's artistic talents! The facility is clean and professional. The artists are unique and highly talented! Would highly recommend read more

Since Anthony sold the shop (which used to be Bad Fish) to Pieter and moved, Pieter has been my go-to guy. He has done some amazing work for me, to the point that I have had people literally study the line work because it is **that** perfect. Somehow, and I don't know why, his work also heals very quickly, and he's just an all around great guy to sit with. I wish I had the money to go back every time I have an idea instead of keeping them in a folder. And when you have to wait a month or more for an appointment? Don't give up and go somewhere else -- it is worth the wait. You want the best? This is where you get it. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place! Did my initial consult with Anthony (who is leaving ), and he did/said everything right in terms of what I wanted edited on my originally drawn design. The outcome was amazing... my actual artist, Tim, made a few tweaks as he was stenciling and I couldn't be happier. It's clean, bright and airy, decorated really cute, and all of the artists are friendly and know their sh*t. This tattoo means A LOT to me and I wanted it to be perfect... and it is! Next one will absolutely happen at this studio! read more

So the name is now Three Hammers Tattoo, as Pieter took over the business last summer. The original owner, Anthony, still works out of the shop. While I understand their art work is good from friends (and the Instagram photos look great), customer service, not so much, imo. Called to see if they were open now during COVID and if they would honor a Bad Fish Tattoo gift certificate I had gotten my wife for our anniversary but that she had not used, as I was looking to get 1 or 2 pieces done. New owner, Pieter, said he did not honor certificates from the old shop name, and, when after asking, said neither would the prior owner, Anthony. They didn't even ask how much the certificate was for. So now, instead of getting a new customer, cash for additional work, and future references, they get this review instead. Guess business is good. read more

My daughter Eliza, got her first tattoo today with Pete. While she's young (16 yrs old, so I accompanied her), this particular design and having it as a tattoo was very important to her so I agreed to it. Naturally, she was very scared but really wanted to do this. After reading the reviews and doing our homework, Bad Fish seemed like the best place for us to go and they certainly lived up to their reputation! The studio was pristine and bright (loved the giant octopus on the wall!), and Pete was super nice and made us feel totally comfortable and relaxed throughout the process. He made sure the design was exactly as my daughter wanted it and that she was happy with its placement and size. Nothing could've been better. We will definitely be back--thank you Pete! read more

I just got my first tattoo today. I am 55 and I wanted to have something small and simple to memorialize my Dad. I found his signature on an old document. The guys at Bad Fish were very friendly, accommodating, and informative. This was a great experience especially for a first timer like me. read more

Amazing place. Pieter just did a 4 1/2 hour chest piece for me that is perfect. This is my fifth tattoo here. As far as I am concerned, there is no other place to get a tattoo. read more

Pieter has done every one of my tattoos (or in some cases fixed some I stupidly got somewhere else on impulse) and I love every single one of them, they're completely perfect. And when I had a vague-ish idea of what I wanted but wasn't entirely set on certain details he immediately plucked the most perfect ideas out and gave me amazing art for my more meaningful tats that needed to be perfect. I will literally never go anywhere else for tattoos. 10000/100. Don't go anywhere else!!! read more

for decades I've wanted ink and despite numerous trips to tat shops across the country something weird happened every time which thwarted my acquisition. well a few weeks ago I met a girl with fantastic work and raved about this joint so when I was inspired the other day to finally plunge BFT was first on my list. I walked in without appointment on a friday and was greeted warmly by the chap who ultimately worked on me (the fact he'd painted amazing Star Wars skateboards on the wall was also a good omen) I appreciated that my VERY simple tat was treated like any other work of art and the entire staff dispelled many of the cliches associated with subcultures like tattoo parlors. although there's a very good chance this will be the only ink I get, if I ever embark upon another it will definitely be here. read more

I'm really happy I checked these guys out. I had been meaning to get my first tattoo fixed up for some time now, but was on the fence whether I wanted to cover it up or just clean it up. It was a celtic spiral and the black lines all bled together over the past 15 years so it turned into three ugly ink blots. When I went to other tattoo shops in the past asking if they could clean it up, they just brushed it off and turned me away, citing the fact that it was too small (the size of a quarter) and they essentially weren't up for the challenge of helping me out. I read about Bad Fish and stopped in one day to get their opinion. Anthony, the owner, was awesome and the one who completely fixed my tattoo. He quoted me a fair price and made an appointment for the next day. I couldn't be happier how it turned out, and I will definitely be back for my next ink adventure. Glad to have a dependable tattoo parlor 5 minutes from my house, and not have to bother with the hassle of going into the city. read more

Great shop with amazing tattoo artists. Tim is just brilliant!! Nice, clean shop and easy parking.

Come in to get 3 small simple inks. They fitted me in without an appointment. The job was nicely down and they also give you a little aftercare to-go bag with instructions, not many tattoo shop does that. And the whole place looks clean and neat, very female/clean cut guys friendly. You know, the old style gangster/biker tattoo shop with all sexy women tattoo designs on the wall turns me off. I would come back again for other ink projects for sure. read more

Recently got a tattoo at Bad Fish, and was so happy with the results. Anthony was incredible, and took the care and time to make my tattoo the best it could be. Not only did he design the tattoo, but he also researched the images as he went; so as to be as accurate as possible. In short, the shop is clean, the staff is friendly, the cost is good, and the artists are amazing. The shop is great. I would definitely go back. read more

I had been looking to get my first tattoo, Bad Fish was recommended to me by my wife, who has had some work done there before. Boy am I glad I listened to her. For a first timer, and a very nervous one, Pieter was really great, we talked about what I wanted, he showed me some options (I had a hard time deciding on the final because all of his ideas were amazing. He made me feel comfortable throughout the process, and the final product looks amazing. I will be back for more! read more

I'm fairly new to the area so I was researching my options and stumbled upon this shop. I went in this week with an appt with Pieter and he did an incredible job. The work seemed effortless to him even though it was my most involved tattoo to date and he really made it look like a painting on my arm. The shop is clean and is split into private little cubes so you're not getting your work done in the middle of the shop like some places I've been. I also received care instructions to take home so I'm not left googling to figure out how to keep it clean. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful and vibrant my tattoo is. I will definitely go back for any tattoos in the future. read more

Anthony and his team are such professionals! Anthony gave me exactly what I wanted and I had to make no corrections or changes! I asked for an underwater scene in which it looked like my skin was being ripped open with an aquarium in it and my ribs incorporated. Clean environment.. Professional artist definitely going back. first time tattoo felt like I been there several times

I've been getting tattooed by Anthony Neave for about a year an a half, I've spent more time with him in the last 18 months than I have with most of my family, and let me be the first to say that his work always exceeds any expectations I have. I know that there are a lot of places to choose from when getting a tattoo or piercing but the guys at Badfish tattoo really are the best, and always pay great attention to detail. The updated studio, which used to be known as Ravens Nest has been gutted and cleaned out completely, it's a very comfortable place to go and get tattooed or pierced, unlike other sketchy places in the area and surrounding towns. From custom art, to tribal pieces, even flash art, these guys do it all and they always take the time to work with me and anyone else I've ever seen there. I can't say enough good things about this place or the artists who work there, I'll be a customer of theirs for as long as they are there. read more

In the past month I saw Pieter for a new tattoo, coverup and two touch-ups. The new tat and touch-ups were pretty simple and straight forward but the cover up blew me away!! It far surpassed my expectations. Previously, I had a vine of flowers on my ribs that was actually a cover up form an older tat but was poorly done. I wanted it covered again but with a colored feather and I explained my vision to Pieter. I was freaking out because I've wanted this fixed for so long and was so relieved with the result. This tat doesn't even feel like a cover up of a past mistake.... its so beautiful. Also, Pieter is super friendly, laid back and charges a VERY fair price. The studio is clean and provides privacy. I heard of Bad Fish and Pieter from a friend whose tattoo I loved and I'm sosososo happy I found him! read more

Anthony is precise with his detail which makes the tattoo insanely more pretty. I continually go back and always wowed by his skill. He is totally worth the wait!! I get compliments every time I get a new one and I owe it all to Anthony! read more

This place is 5 stars all the way! About a month ago I went in to get a tattoo from Anthony after a long a lengthy research process on my end. I am so glad i decided to go with bad fish. From the first phone call, Anthony and the other guys there have been fantastic to deal with. I came in with a design and from there I left it to Anthony's expertise to adjust it in a way that would translate great into a tattoo and he never steered me wrong. I can't say too much about the others as I have not received a tattoo from them but Anthony is top notch and the art work from the other guys there is very solid work. From the minute you walk in, they are not intimidating and make it a very welcoming shop. They are friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgeable and very professional. The whole process from start to finish was a pleasure and really speaks to how great of guys they are at bad fish. All I can say is thanks bad fish for giving me a bad a** tattoo. If your thinking of getting a tattoo, stop by the shop and let them hook you up. You won't regret going to bad fish. A top notch tattoo shop that knows their trade and knows how to make a clean, professional, laid back environment for first timers and tattoo collectors alike! read more

Anthony is the best in the business, especially for color and detail. I've found a keeper, Pieter did the most amazing art on my skin! I won't go to anyone else!
