TLDR: Clean atmosphere; Ron has terrible vibes Ron pierced my back dimples. He made a point to share that he was fasting for a body builder competition and super out of it . He and his wife (the receptionist) were sort of fighting; he was irritable and ill tempered which was very uncomfortable to be around. She was very friendly and warm. First dimple went fine, still have it over a year later. On the second dimple he struggled to anchor it and was digging in my back for several minutes. Also forgot to count me down bc he was conversing with his coworker. I was wincing in pain and he told me to relax and that most of the pain was in my head Most piercers make a comfortable, welcoming, disarming vibe; Ron brought quite the opposite. That piercing never anchored properly and popped out 9 months later. Also, I was accidentally charged double BUT when I called they apologized profusely and immediately corrected it. read more

He worked at a great pace, checking on our tolerances often, and was just absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend him enough. His work, especially his lines, are some of the best I have ever seen. do not come here for a septum piercing!!!! i visited this location last week to have my septum re-pierced after a while of not having one. i'm not the type to leave reviews, but i had a terrible experience. the piercer was shouting across the shop at a coworker as he was setting up the clamps in my nose, and only stopped talking to ask me if i'd like him to count to three. since i had a septum piercing in the past, i knew right away that something was wrong. my piercing was low and close to my face, and hurt pretty bad to get - all of which i know is not supposed to happen with a septum piercing! i called the milford location to ask for a second opinion and to hopefully rectify the situation. i'm thankful because the person i spoke to was originally willing to help me and had me send pictures over and come in to meet him the next day. during that visit, he agreed that my piercing placement was low and said it was his father that pierced me. i explained how i was uncomfortable going back to visit him based on the experience i had, and he called his dad to see if they could honor a correction. after the call, he said that his dad wasn't willing to honor the request unless i drove to the stratford location so that he could have a look and do it himself, and that it was my fault for not verifying the placement of my piercing! how am i supposed to check the placement of a piercing inside my nose?? why didn't he just put it in the right spot originally?? all in all, i didn't feel like anyone heard me say i was unhappy with the service i got, and uncomfortable with the option that was presented to me. i left the shop knowing that they'd be keeping my money, and visited paradise tattoo in milford, whose piercer agreed that my piercing placement was all wrong and immediately alleviated all the worries i had. they helped me remove the poorly done piercing and i'll be seeing them in a couple weeks to get my septum re-re-done! visit these guys instead, they're amazing and just a few minutes down the road!! read more

My friend and I went to go get matching tattoos here. We had the design drawn out already and I even brought my ipad in case any changes needed to be made I was willing to draw it. My friend got her tattoo first no problem. After she got hers I realized I liked her design better. the person who tattooed us was super rude to me when I wanted to change and she had to print out a whole new stencil. (keep in mind this was a 5 minute small tattoo) When she printed the new stencil I said the symbols were now upside down. They got really upset and said this was the last time she was printing out a new one. This is a TATTOO Im not settling for what isnt what I want and they didnt understand that when I told her EXACTLY what i wanted. This tattoo was so simple and i was charged $140 for it. The whole experience was really upsetting for something that was meaningful to us. I will not be coming back here. read more

A month ago today i lost my bestfriend in a bike accident. I had called ron the following day and he was able to squeeze in three bible scriptures for my family and a few days after that he got me in for a larger piece on my neck. I wanted to wait out the healing process before leaving a review and I can honestly say im more then happy with the finish product. I'm really grateful for the friendly staff at Creative Instincts. I got in touch with the owner Ron who was able to take me on such short notice. They ARE taking walk-ins, but of course, appointments are always preferred. I needed to get my ears re-pierced, especially with an important event coming up. Reasonable pricing, and Ron is super down to earth and I appreciate his professionalism. My initial ear piercings were uneven, and he made sure to measure both sides numerous times so that they could be identical. Clean and sterile, and quick. No complaints! read more

I did not get the guy's name because I was so nervous, usually I like to get people's names especially if I am pleased with the service provided. Anyways, this piercer was nice, patient, and calm the entire time, despite my nervousness. He explained everything during the process and aftercare. I definitely recommend this place. Absolutely terrible. I went there on Christmas Day with my sister for small, simple matching tattoos. We were told upon arrival that there was a $100 minimum per person and that it was cash only. No one told us this on the phone. When we asked the price, the guy behind the counter said it might be expensive because "straight lines are hard to draw". Both my sister and I have multiple tattoos and this was a serious red flag. We decided to leave and were told that the $50 fee I had paid was non-refundable. No one told us that on the phone, either. The employee called the manager who got on speaker phone and yelled at us that it was our fault that we didn't ask their policies, that it was the customers' responsibility to know their policies, and then accused us of being too poor to afford tattoos. It was obnoxious and very ridiculous. We left and were both glad we didn't get tattoos from such unprofessional people. It won't surprise me if the manager replies to this with some more nonsense. There are lots of tattoo places in most cities. Choose a different one. read more

I was impressed as a walk in. I happened to be driving by, saw this place and had some time that day. I had been looking for months at getting a Tatoo at a friends place, but nobody ever returned my call. I guess they didn't need any business. Christian greeted me at the door. He was helpful and the place looked CLEAN! Very professional with the cleanliness and his knowledge of his trade. He helped me pick out something that was meant to cover a scar on my leg from an injury. It went great, I'd had one Tatoo before and I knew what to expect. But on scar tissue it was a little challenging. Christian was very friendly, understanding and helpful, made me comfortable. It doesn't hurt he looks like a young Johnny Depp! I guess I was born at the wrong time . I highly recommend this place, for the cleanliness and professional way he treated me. I'm not one to leave bad reviews at all but a few weeks ago I got a double forward helix piercing and it's been a nightmare since ...having paid $100+ for piercings and jewelry I would have expected a better outcome. (I wanted a triple forward helix but the piercer told me that he wouldn't be able to do it even though my ear has enough room...) A few days after my piercings, the ball of one of my earrings fell out so I went back to the shop to ask if they could put it back in. One of the workers said sure I'll do it but we usually charge for this...I had just gotten my piercing not even a week ago, how could you charge me?!? He put it back in and I tipped him due to my kindness and I went along my way. A week after that, my ear turned bright red and was burning so I looked at my ear and my whole earring fell out again! The earring that he had fixed and put back in for me after it fell out the first time had completely fallen out and I couldn't even find the earring... I don't usually do this but after paying $100+, having my earring fall out twice and saying you would usually charge to place the jewelry I will never be going back here again! I will never go back there again. I was not pleased with one letter that came out on me. All I wanted was to make it bolder so it would look more like the letter. I was told you should have looked at the picture before it was put on you. Well sometimes you can't tell until it is on you. Every other Tattoo shop would have been accompanidating. I had made an appt last Feb, but couldn't get it done due to Covid. When I called a few wks ago, Ronnie remembered who I was, the amount of my deposit (which they honored) and the tattoo I wanted. I decided to to something different so he referred me to his dad, Ron. He and I spoke on the phone and exchanged e-mails about what I wanted & what would work best as a cover up. When I arrived, the shop was very clean and Covid safe...I had to have a medical grade mask, they took my temp and had me wash my hands before sitting down. Ron had multiple options for me to choose from based on our previous conversations. Once we decided on design, Ron got ready....again, everything was done following Covid safety measures...and, I'm quite sure it's how the shop is Covid or not. Ron is the owner so a few times he had to stop to help another artist or customer, but he apologized and got right back at it. The shop has a fun, easy going feel. We had a lot of laughs while I was there. My cover up came out even better than I imagined.
