They said that a vet would treat the tortoise if they became ill , however when I called the Banfield Vet inside their store said they do not treat tortoises. It's really a sad situation when you realize that this tortoise probably suffered a long time. If not for us taking her to the vet she probably would have starved to death. The staff is not knowledgeable about the reptiles , and I feel you should not sell them if you don't even have the means to take care of them. To rectify the situation staff kept saying they are completely 100% down for their animals. However , they made no effort to help this one. We will continue to treat this tortoise , and hopefully she pulls through . However save yourself the headache and DO NOT buy from petsmart. They don't know what they are doing !

They have a fully-stocked store for all pet needs, but if I had to pick what I personally thought to be their strong suit, definitely their reptile products, pets and knowledge. This store is always very well staffed, which is something you don't often find in a small local business. I always have two or three people ask me if I need anything. Their pets are all healthy and well cared for. They also have the best deals on crickets locally that I have found. The store is well organized for such a full store (I think they need to be twice the size they really are, but they make do!) They also have the best price on my favorite fish, which I have trouble finding locally. The only thing I wish they stocked that they don't is Dubia Roaches, but I didn't let that effect my rating because I'm starting to suspect there is a law around here about selling them in retail locations, because I have never even heard of someone ever having had them. Ah well, breeding my own now. Anything else I've mentioned that they didn't have, anyone is quick to suggest "We might be able to order it for you!" I found an incredibly scared, overweight tan chihuahua formerly named Rita, with a neon green collar huddled in the back corner of her crate. The moment I held her in my arms I knew we had to be with each other. She was severely isolated-- suffering and being treated for a complicated respiratory infection. Someone dropped her off to the humane society with her nails so long they curled under her paws and she could barely walk. She was overweight and yet malnourished. Poor thing was probably eating pizza crusts her whole life. She also had an injury to the top of her tail which I was told was from abuse-- most likely being hit with an item in the shape of a bar. Probably a stick. I could not bare to leave her there. She was my very first dog and my first true love. $100 adoption fee later and Lilly was mine! She is the absolutely best little girl anyone could ever ask for. A little bit of professional training, a proper diet/exercise and she was practically a show dog! I'm crying as I write this because I'm so thankful that I wandered in that day and we found each other. She was 4 years old the day I saw her in that crate. Fast forward and she's been with me 9 years today. It's her rescue anniversary today and I want to shout it from the rooftops. Thank you Toledo Humane Society. She means so much to me!

She was up for adoption next I know she's somebody was supposed to call me back never did I would've taken her, but they said she was not allowed to be adopted for a few days. Somehow she got adopted out the next morning kind of suspicious to me. I've only seen one dog website that they even have in their building. I do not understand why I couldn't take her yesterday if she was available to be adopted today this morning Saturday the fifth very I fell in love with that little cookie is her name they said yesterday that she was mean with cats well, she seemed to be as friendly as sweet as could be would've taken her home, but they wouldn't let me. I'm just very unhappy with this place.
