Terriers can be a pain in the butt when it comes to their attitude and stubbornness, and my Scottish Terrier is especially a sassy/grumpy boy, so I'm very picky about who grooms him. I had a great place that I had been taking him since he was a puppy and they were very good at grooming. At Bark Avenue I was given an estimate of $60-$70, it would be the higher price if they would need two persons to get his hair cut. First of all the shop is more inclined for big dogs and they have them walking around the shop and barking playing. Well my Yorkie was kept in a crate before and after appointment because he needed a vaccine that was required and I told them he was afraid of big dogs. When I arrived to pick him up the groomer said he was very good and was charged $70.00. When I got home I checked the cut and his paw hair was left with long hair, his sanitary areas were also left long, I asked for teddy bear face cut and summer cut and I was disappointed. This place is good for big dogs.

This groomer has been grooming my fur baby for over a year. She is a brown labradoodle and I have provided before and after pictures for reference. I take her to get groomed every month so I never really give her time to get matted. The other picture is of a white/black sheep doodle. It shows what the pup looked like when the lady brought her in and then the after picture as well as a video to show how matted that pups ears were. The lady had very specific instructions on how she wanted her pup to look - so it gave the groomer very limited options on the service she could provide. If you bring your pup in matted and then you're picky about how you want the dog to look, it's not gonna be the best service. But overall, that lady's pup looks really good afterwards. As a matter of fact, the pup is beautiful. I'd be weary of reviews that don't leave pictures of their complaint. This groomer is A1!!

They asked that I hang around since it was here first time there. All in all, it took around two hours, so I got a chance to interact with the staff. They did a very thorough job on all of the animals. It's a bustling place and there seems to be a lot of regulars there. I should mention that they also offer kenneling, with of a capacity of 100 dogs.

Sometimes I think I should have checked into other places. I never have. My dog comes home happy and tired from daycare (she goes once a week.) She comes home happy and healthy and tired from boarding. Her last stay was 11 days! They know her. I know she can be a handful but I don't even consider an alternative. Because of Pups, he has become the most social and friendly dog to all dogs and people. The staff is incredible! I look forward to picking Bodie up and talking to them! Not only does the owner have a Persian herself but their whole team is wonderful to work with and my babies always look even more beautiful after their 10 week grooming.
