I cannot overstate how awful this place is. My girlfriend took our beloved 15-year-old mini Aussie here--a senior dog who is both deaf and blind--and left in tears. Instead of showing any compassion or professionalism, the owner, Telia Williams, shamed her for being "overbearing" when all she was doing was advocating for our dog's unique needs. It's shocking that the person running this establishment would have such a rude and condescending attitude. To make matters even worse, the staff in the back started mocking her loudly and indiscreetly. This wasn't just bad service--it was downright cruel and humiliating. My girlfriend was heartbroken, and we didn't even let them touch our dogs after this appalling experience. If this is how the owner behaves, I can only imagine how poorly trained and unprofessional the rest of the staff must be. I brought my dog to be groomed yesterday and only realized that he had incurred this injury until we got home and he kept licking his paw. We noticed he was also leaving blood on our floor. The business apologized when I texted them about the issue and suggested packing the wound with flour. After looking at the size of the wound, it seems unlikely that they did not notice this injury. I'm very disappointed my dog had to experience this and that they didn't bother informing me of the injury when I picked him up. read more

my dog had his first bath and teeth brushing service yesterday. I usually don't expect much from pet services (I've had some tough experience) but Pampered Paws was wonderful!! They were so kind to me and my fur baby, who was very nervous. they were very quick and I truly think this is the best bath and grooming my boy has ever had. He feels Softer, smells so good, and even his breath is fresh. The services included in the package is more than you get at a pet store groomers and the price is comparable. very satisfied customer who will be returning! Thank you! read more

I have only been to Pampered Paws once, but they came highly recommended by my mom who takes her dog there and love them! I brought my Great Dane (rescue) in for a bath. He is VERY nervous around water, perhaps from a negative experience in his previous home. I explained his situation to them when I arrived, being that he will try to jump out of the bath, and having a bad leg, they needed to be cautious. The front desk guy was VERY kind, and listened to all I had to say. When I pick my Great Dane up, he was so happy! He smelled great and was all about the gal who brought him out! She said he was great and even got a treat afterward. My Dane took a liking to one of the other guys there, which tells me that they treated him very well. I wish I knew the girls name who brought him out and cashed me out because she did an excellent job in explaining how this visit went! I will definitely be returning to Pampered Paws! read more

Worst groomer ever. Do not go here. See attached picture. After getting our dog home and finding this, I called immediately. The groomer/owner said she must have brushed her too hard. Offered to give her another bath to rinse the area off. I declined. She did call the next day to check on her. The redness was clearing up. The more I thought about this, the more upset I got. I sent them this picture and said I was unhappy and wanted my money back. The owner became very angry and copped an attitude. Said I cared more about my money than my dog! Told me never to come back (like I would have ever gone there again!). Said many other horrible things to me. Said that people like me just complain to get their money back. she said my dog was very heavily hairy and needed a lot of hair removed, contradicting herself from before when she said she must have brushed the dog too vigorously. I read the reviews, took my dog here today. Showed them a pic of how I would like him cut. They agreed they could accommodate my wishes. Then they call me stating that with his heavy Mats they had to cut him a bit shorter than I had requested. Odd thing is my wife brushes him out every evening. We also have 2 St. Bernard's. We are aware of hair mats. We picked him up and were utterly shocked. He was completely shaved. My wife took him outside while I paid the bill. She was in tears. We will have to look for a new place to take him. read more

Went here for the 1st time. A lady was on the phone hangs up and says oh im not the secretary them picks the phone up again. I have never been here so idk what im supposed to do i left the dogs in the car incase there was paper work 1st. So I stood there until someone came from the back. Then after we went over how i wanted my dog trimmed i asked about how long. Mind you my appointment was at 4 i took them in at 3:40pm. He said probably closer to 6 cuz my little dog was gonna take the longest. Ok fine no problem, my husband went to pick them up at 530 on his way home from work. The dogs hadn't even been touched. So now you close at 6 its 530 an my dog who was going to take about 2 hours got a hack job of 30 minutes. This place is the worst they had friends hanging out together in the back and my dog looked like shit and they charged 80 thats insane was not worth getting my dog back with his ears or tail even trimmed. I have taken two different dogs to Pampered Paws over the years and had always been satisfied with their grooming services. However, on the last occasion, our dog developed a staph infection within days of being groomed. This dog stays in our home or yard and is rarely taken other places as he doesn't get along with other dogs, so I can guarantee he wasn't infected elsewhere. I called the shop (not once, but twice) asking for an owner or manager to call me. When I explained what had happened, I was told it was impossible it could have happened there. I was also told they "wanted to make it right" and that they would "look into it and get back to me". I have heard NOTHING. The whole reason I took my dog to be groomed is because he hates baths. We do our best, but wanted him to have a thorough washing. In addition to antibiotics, the remedy for a staph infection includes antiseptic baths every 3 days. Terrible case of irony if you ask me. I will not return to Pampered Paws, nor would I recommend it to my friends. A shame, considering I am a big supporter of Mayberry and local establishments. read more

They did a fantastic job on my long haired Rottweiler. Bath, blow dry, cut his hair to look more like a "regular" Rotty and they trimmed his nails. The staff was wonderful with him. And the price was very cheap compared to other facilities. We will only be using Pampered Paws from now on! read more

Normally I take Apollo to pampered paws and the experience is awesome Although this time I dropped him off and I asked for the same service that I paid 60$ for last time they charged me 75$ took 2 days to clean my dog and still wouldn't do the job I requested even though I got charged 75$!!!! I paid $42 to have my toy poodle groomed. He was uneven all over, feet looked as thought they weren't touched, so I got in contact with the owner and she said she would re-groom him herself. When I picked him up the second time, he is still uneven all over his legs, the bottom of his feet weren't touched, and the owner became a little condescending as though I don't know what I am talking about. I have NEVER had a bad groom with my 12 year old poodle. I wan't a refund but I know that won't happen. read more

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DO NOT TAKE IT HERE! First of all...I think it's rotten that there are two "hidden" reviews with one star because that bumps up the rating that this place in NO way deserves. I will admit that the first time we took our cat here in August they did a great job. Our experience this time left me shaking with anger. We dropped off our rather anxious cat at 2pm for our scheduled appointment. Someone we had never seen there before asked us to "fill out" a blank index card. Then stared blankly at us. My husband had to ask what he'd like us to include on the card. He said our name and phone number. My husband asked if he also wanted our cats name and he said "sure". In the end they should have also asked us to describe our cat and detail the services we were requesting (even though we stated all that when we made the appointment)....but I'll get to that. When we asked how long he anticipated it would take for a lion cut, dry shampoo and nail clipping he stated three hours but that they would call. No problem. We ran some errands and ended up parking back outside the shop at 4:15 p.m. more than willing to wait. To our surprise we received a call at 4:20 p.m. The man on the phone indicated that her appointment would take longer because "she was having trouble with the dryer". I asked my husband why she would be in a dryer for a haircut and dry shampoo. The man on the phone could not answer our question so we spoke with the groomer. The groomer said that we "caught her just in time, she hadn't bathed her yet but will finish her haircut and have her ready in 30 minutes". Still confused by why the man ever mentioned a dryer (his reason for the call)....we decided to wait 20 minutes and head back in to the groomer. Upon arriving, we were charged $25 (a discounted rate for the confusion we were told). My husband paid. Then the man handed us the WRONG cat. We had to describe our cat and the man disappeared into the back for quite a while. A different man came out and started to explain what was going on with our cat....to another customer who was also now waiting. Once he confirmed who we were....he told us that there was a mix up of the index cards and NOTHING WAS DONE TO OUR CAT. She sat on the floor for 3 hours and not one services was performed. I'm truly not even sure how that happened. Apparently they did the lion cut on a different cat (I'm sure that owner was not pleased) and they just forgot our cat was even there? When we asked to speak to the groomer the man VERY RUDELY told us that WE were the problem because by asking to speak to the groomer we were putting her even further behind. NOT COOL. The groomer opened a small window and very professionally apologized and explained she wasn't feeling well and was overwhelmed. We told her we appreciated her apology but that the situation was upsetting. Not only that they mixed up our cat....but that they didn't even REALIZE they mixed up our cat until they tried to hand us the wrong one. We were also disappointed in the customer service (or lack thereof) from her other two employees. She explained that she had a migraine from a german shepherd who barked the entire time. This did not make my husband or I feel better considering our anxious cat had to deal with that as well. All in all, we were told they would process a refund but that it would take 3 to 5 business days. I cannot really put into words just how RUDE the two men working there were. There was absolutely no communication or apology from them and they made us feel as if it was somehow our fault. After getting our cat home and opening up her cage, we found that she absolutely 100% looked like she had been bathed in water. Her coat was incredibly clean, smelled like shampoo, she had no dandruff AND her nails had been clipped. Which the groomer said was "always her first step because if the cat scratches the wound is less painful". So they traumatized our cat with a bath and either lied to us or somehow didn't even know they did it. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. read more
