We absolutely loved this place. Coming from Kalamazoo, the beer is incredible. Waiting was no problem with the ample space upstairs and outside. Our wings were great, and the Cheesteak too. Kids pizza was even good for a picky 2 year old. Staff was super friendly. We've been hard pressed to find good food in South Haven, and this will be our go to spot anytime we are in town. read more

We've driven by this place a few times last summer and again this year. We typically opt for something closer to downtown South Haven but on our way to the cottage, this fit the bill perfectly. We were seated right away on a Friday evening and checked out the menu. It seemed like typical brewery fare. The service was kind and helpful. The ambiance was fun, airy and open and the decor was cool. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza, my wife ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and I had the chicken wings. I had half spicy garlic and half buffalo. The wings were good, juicy, meaty, and tender and the sauces were perfect. I wish there were a few more in the serving but it was enough to fill me up. I had a long list of restaurants to try while renting a house in South Haven, but we liked this so much that we ordered it two nights in a row. We even forgave them for forgetting one of our kid meals the first night, although it helped that they were so sweetly apologetic about the situation. Speaking of kids meals all 5 kids were absolutely thrilled with their kids pizza, kids pasta and kids chicken fingers. And the seasoned fries that came w/ al the kids meals were the biggest hit of all. As for the adults we were also quite happy. My husband couldn't stop raving about the bottle cap bbq burger, which was prob the #1 reason we ordered 2 nights in a row. I went a tad bit healthier with the cherry crunch salad the 1st night and crispy brussel sprouts tacos the 2nd night....and then made it unhealthy by eating half of my kids fries. We picked up since we weren't taking our kids out to eat during Covid-19, but they did have a nice patio that I'd be all for dining on if I was kid free. And the best part may just be that the infamous Sherman's ice cream is a short walk away. read more

Less than impressed. Was excited to try this brewery based on the great reviews but was very disappointed in just about everything. Iced tea served with no straw and waited 10 minutes before server was around to ask for one. Ordered the garlic cheese bread, which for reference is a full size pizza. This was okay, nothing special. Great for drinking beer and snacking. They asked if we would like both ranch and marinara-- you will be up charged 50cents if you say yes. That's fine with me but maybe mark on the menu. I would recommend ordering both though as it was nice to have options for such a large appetizer! We had ordered our entree, the steak tacos, at the same time as the appetizer, but I specifically asked to hold on entering the entree order until we finished our appetizer. The tacos came out two minutes after our appetizer. We were told "the kitchen must work fast, I didn't enter it until the bread hit your table". Regardless, the tacos were cold at first bite so not sure how they were made and sent to our table within 2 minutes of when the server entered the order but arrived cold. The steak itself was tough and tasted more like ground beef not steak. The tortilla chips were very stale-- like 2 months the bag has been open stale. We will not be back and do not recommend if you're looking for a good bite to eat. The outdoor patio looked nice and had games for kids. The wait was an hour long when we got there, so it was nice we could wait outside in their lounge area by a fire and order a few drinks before dinner. My friends and I were camping at Van Buren State Park and stopped in to Three Blondes Brewing for some lunch and to try their beers. The taproom is bright and airy and they have outdoor seating too. We had a bit of a wait for a table but only about 5 minutes. We all started with a flight to test some of their beer offerings. Our server also gave us a sample of one of their unique beers, a sour Berliner Weisse with cucumber and dill called Dill With It! It was not super dilly and more cucumber-y and we all enjoyed it. My favorite was the rotating cider which was a basil pineapple. The other favorite was the Trees and Seas IPA which was also very good. We got the cheese curds as an appetizer but they only came out about 5 minutes before all the food. They were pretty good but not the best I've had. The menu includes tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Everything sounded really good but I went with the burger and got a double patty. It was great! The patties were cooked med rare, which I actually prefer but others might not enjoy, so be sure to specify (I wasn't asked). A bunch of my friends got tacos, which looked amazing. My boyfriend ordered the beer cheese steak, which had good flavor but the meat needed to be cut differently. It was in big chunks, which made it difficult to eat. But the beer cheese was awesome! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, as it is a bit outside downtown South Haven it was less busy than any of the other places we visited. read more

Our first stop in town, we had lunch and ordered the General Tso's brussel sprouts and cheese garlic bread, both were good. We also ordered Coblano sandwich w/ff. Steak tacos were a bit spicy and the steak reminded me of gyro meat, just ok. Buffalo chicken wrap, was too spicy for my sister. Bottle cap BBQ burger with fries. The burger was good, I asked for the pomegranate BBQ sauce on the side, it also had bacon, cheese, fried jalapenos, aioli. The favorite beer we tried was peach bois, we returned on our way out of town to buy a growler, but the brewery wasn't open yet. :( read more

Wanted to give Three Blondes a try once we arrived in South Haven on a Sunday afternoon. We were traveling with our dog and it was hoping to eat lunch before checking into our VRBO later in the afternoon. However, wasn't dog friendly (even outside on their patio), so decided to try again later. Once our family arrived in the evening, thought it would be easier to order carry out, but they had stopped taking orders. They were closed on Monday, so went back on Tuesday evening for dinner. We had a group of six adults plus a toddler, so three of us went early to get a table so that the toddler didn't have to wait so long. Got a quick table around 4:50 pm with the rest of the crew arriving about 5:15 pm. We soon found out we were on the clock to eat and leave our table in that they have a 90-minute maximum table time. Our server was even a bit passive aggressive in reminding us how long we had been at the table. Really kind of made us feel rushed even though we would be done safely within the 90 minutes. A couple of us wanted to stick around and sample more of their beers, so we ended up stepping outside to their patio and found seats to use. The food was very good for most of us. I had the Barbie-Q, which was like a BBQ Pot Roast. Excellent. Tender meat. Nice beer-cheese sauce. Would have liked more of the BBQ sauce (pomegranate BBQ), but would order again. My wife had the Cowgirl Wrap and really didn't like the taste. In fact, she sent it back and didn't order anything to replace. They were nice enough to remove from our check. Daughter 1 had a cheeseburger and fries. Daughter 2 and her husband had a pizza (very good, but could have used either more sauce or more cheese) along with splitting a burger. We also ordered Blondie Bread for the table, which was excellent. The beer (True Blue Bear) was top drawer, and I would return just for that! We bought a 12-pack to take with us. Only wish my wife had ordered something different and that the pressure wasn't placed on us several times to keep moving so that the table opened. read more

Came across this place while traveling through the area and it was a nice little spot off the highway. The beer lineup was decent with 12 drafts and the menu offered apps, salads, burgers and pizza. The nachos were honestly one of the tastiest nachos I've ever had and I was pleasantly surprised. Tri color chips with plenty of queso, beer cheese, shredded cheese and crumbled Mexican cheese. We tried this place for the first time on our way to Saugatuck. It was a Friday evening around 5:45 pm and we had a party of four. We got in as soon as we walked in the door. I was impressed that I could order wine instead of a beer. Riesling was very nice. We ordered an appetizer, the pretzel with beer cheese and pimento cheese. I enjoy this place but was disappointed last night with our food. Service was excellent. However, the Brussels Sprouts were lacking in seasoning and short on sauce (have had them on other visits so I know what they should taste like). My son asked for his burger to be cooked medium, it was well done. The Mac and cheese had very little flavor, and a small puddle of cheese sauce was found at the very bottom of the bowl. My wings were good, asked for them extra crispy, and they were. However, the sauce, hot honey garlic, was very vinegary. Beer was good. LOVE this place! So far everything I've had here has been delicious. I've been here a couple times now with a variety of people and everyone has always had positive feedback about their food and a great experience. I personally loved their salad- the basic salad- as weird as it sounds, it was so simple and so fresh but had high quality fresh ingredients and great dressing! I also enjoyed their tacos and their pizza! My friend ordered some wings for everyone to share and they loved them so much they ordered another round! Overall, this is an excellent find- especially in South Haven- where quality food and good service is so hard to find amongst a tourist driven town. read more
