Our deck extends the entire length of the front of our house and wraps around two sides. Several years ago, Scott and his team replaced one of those two side sections, replaced some rotted boards on the main deck and repaired some issues with the substructure. So, we knew who to call when we made the decision to replace the main deck and the other side section entirely - no more "patching up". Our experience with Thrasher Construction, on that previous project, was so good, we didn't bother to get a competitive quote. We trust him implicitly to be fair and complete, right up front. From demolition thru completion Scott and his team worked steadily, finishing the job in two weeks. We couldn't be happier with the results. The entire deck is now properly built (as opposed to the way the original contractor had done it) and promises to be very long lasting. Also, before -- the railing structure had become "wiggly" (for lack of a better word). We have a 25 year old deck that was starting to have some dryrot problems. Wasn't sure who to call because you just never know about some contractors. They talk a good game but then never get the job done right. I called Scott because of the positive reviews here and he came by and gave me an estimate. They were able to start the job fairly quickly and estimated that it would take a week to complete. Two to four workers showed up every day and after taking more things apart they found more problems (nearly all of the posts and girders in this photo were replaced) which added another week to the now very difficult project. I was so pleased by the work that was completed. I had so much difficulty finding someone professional and willing to take on the smaller jobs. I needed someone with a license since I made the error of not checking someone else's false number. My window framing was destroyed. Stacey and his crew put it in better than before condition. Scott came out to give us an estimate for some deck repairs within a day of us calling him. We were sent the written estimate the following day. When we contacted him about doing the job he scheduled the repairs for the very next week. Other contractors I called never even returned my call. He and his crew did excellent work and completed extensive repairs in a single day and went above and beyond in providing additional work not noted on the estimate.
