My husband and I shopped at many stores for two power recliners, wanting to stick with a name brand since the two we had bought only several years ago from Bob's Discount Furniture had become defective and were not covered by the warrantee we purchased. We visited the Lewiston store and met our wonderful sales person, Dawn, who helped us choose the right chair as well as match the fabric choice to our living room oriental. And they are perfect!!!! The chairs were manufactured by LazyBoy and took at least 6 weeks to construct and ship. They arrived ontime and the scheduler at FX Marcotte honored our request to have them delivered ASAP. Today, Ryan and Wes delivered our chairs on time as promised ,(did I mention NO DELIVERY CHARGE) provided set up and tested everything to make sure it was working properly. As hot as it was, they were smiling and friendly, capping off the best furniture purchase of the Shaw family. We will be back for sure and have no problem recommending FX Marcotte to our friends.

That is when I started to understand and appreciate what they do for their community. After hearing that they take part of their profits to help build houses for people that would otherwise unable to have a house I knew that this was a place to support. My first time in was to mostly scope out the joint. They have a furniture room, an electrical and lighting room, and the main room that consists of lumber, tools, cupboards, bathroom items, and more. While wandering I overheard a manager discussing with one of the volunteers that they usually look up the item and price it half of what local retail places would price it at. Yowzers! I like that! These prices gave me motivation for projects. My new place needed shelves in so many places that I knew If I went anywhere else I would pay a fortune. When I returned to the store the following day I did so with a list of dimensions for the different shelving projects I needed. Their lumber section is random lengths and types of woods so you need to use one of their tape measures to explore and find what is the right length. I somehow found all I needed! When I went to find shelf brackets a volunteer saw me pawing through the bin and walked over. She told me someone just donated a ton and they just hadn't been put out yet. She hurried behind the counter and came back with an arm load. "How many do you want?" Score! I have returned more than once since then to buy nails, screws, and scope out their tables which is next on my list. Right now they have tons and again everything is priced so reasonable that all seem a possibility for me.

I was looking for a full size sleeper sofa, she recommended a twin size. I looked at the product and ordered it, assuming it was a full and not a twin sized sleeper sofa. I cancelled my order after realizing what i ordered. to rub salt on an open wound, after the fact, i found a sleeper sofa (full size!) from wayfair for less than 300. Im keeping the couch i have, since all it could use is some sewing needle, some cleaning, and not much else. Wayfair may have lost customer for this stunt.

So I did a search and discovered the odor was a toxic fume gassing off. I ended up in emergency with heart palpitations, shortness of breath and a cough which I still have. I had the desk put outside on my patio while I phoned Wayfair.com. I was informed that according to todays standards, there was nothing wrong with the desk. The desk still smelled after sitting outside for two weeks. Plus the desk could gas off undetected for up to two years. Please consider carefully before you buy from this company. The coupon said it could be combined with rewards so I never would have anticipated the issue and attitude I got from Abby, who told me she was a manager, that she told me multiple times that she couldn't make it work, and finally that I was stressing her out so she was going to help another customer. I will admit that after she said "did you not hear me" in a snippy and sarcastic tone, I did get upset and asked "did you really just say that to me?". She called up Beth, the store manager, and we had a very pleasant exchange. I explained the issue and she was able to fix it with no problem. I get that people get stressed out and at first she was trying to help, but when she couldn't figure it out, she should have just asked for help instead of repeatedly berating me.
