Each item is chosen thoughtfully, some of it is new, some used lovingly. They also have a line of paint that the store uses in refurbishing pieces of furniture. I looked at a few pieces that were repainted with this paint, it was beautiful with a hard satiny, smooth finish in yummy colors. I plan on a return visit to get some more information on that paint.

As soon as I walked in, I let him know that I was looking for an inexpensive dresser. I asked if there was a bargain basement or a clearance section and he said no. He told me I wouldn't find a dresser for under $500. (To us, he totally dismissed us, as if we didn't belong there.) When my husband asked if we could walk around he said "This is America you can do whatever you want." After looking we in fact did find several dressers under $500. He wandered down to us and said something about particle board and how unfortunately the store had to sell it. He also spoke badly about the Ashley line they offer. It's too bad I didn't tell him about the dining room set we WERE going to purchase along with the dresser! We are past customers of the store when we need something. We bought a recliner not so long ago that we love. Anyway, that's my two cents worth, which comes from a little fish in the big sea I guess.

The Best Nursery Experience in Maine - Hands Down!…read more We were driving through town when we spotted the name "Bushes Bushes" and couldn't help but chuckle--so of course we had to pull in. What we found was far more than expected! This nursery is a hidden gem with an incredible selection of plants, trees, and garden goods--all at extremely reasonable prices. We've now been back three times, and each visit has been better than the last. Today we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Nancy and Ed, and they are wonderful. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their entire team is just as friendly and helpful. They even had a fantastic Father's Day special--25% off fruit trees and fruit plants--which made our visit even sweeter. Thanks to them, we found the perfect additions for our garden, and this place has officially become part of our Sunday routine whenever we're in town. If you're anywhere near the Richmond area, Bushes Bushes is an absolute must-stop. And if you're looking for a great cup of coffee afterward, swing by Morning Moose Coffee--we'll be sure to match the top-notch hospitality Nancy and Ed showed us! Thank you again to the amazing crew at Bushes Bushes--we'll definitely be back!
