It's a fun store with so much to offer!!! Staff is nice at the register. Didn't see any staff outside of that location. It's a little crowded and when it's busy, you will bump into people or things. The selection of gifts, crafts and other random things like stickers is pretty great - much of it is made in Maine by local artists/creators. I don't know that I have ever left there empty handed. The cheeky stickers get me everytime. There are craft time of things for kids as well. Be careful if you bring active children in the store. There is a lot that is breakable. read more

I love this store! It has a great vibe...the merchandise selection, the friendly but not intrusive staff, even the background music...perfect. It's a "go to" for gifts and just a browse. Check it out! read more

This gift shop has been a staple in Brunswick for so many years. I always find sweet things to gift my loved ones, or to decorate my home (or myself sometimes, they have nice jewelry. They've got a real eclectic mix of items, but it all looks so great together. This location is also the source for Stonewall Kitchen jams and jellies. Love!!! read more

I love the varied of the high quality and unique items sold in this shop on Maine Street. It is my place to go to when I need to find a special gift for friends and family. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. read more

Not the store I loved for years before its recent sale. Missing the verve, style and non-partisan sensibilities of previous owners. Not interested in paying $7 for a greeting card. I see here that the new owner challenges each and every low review, and that's exactly the kind of interaction you can expect in the store. Just leave me be and let me shop, preferably with unique items I can't find elsewhere -- not the multiples of kitschy, common junk that have invaded recently. read more

I just love Nest. You can see they put a lot of thought into their offerings, it's a fun place to shop and there is something for everyone here. Big shout out for carrying old school Tupperware! Definitely worth a visit if you're in town! read more

The Nest has been my favorite store ever since I moved to Maine over a decade ago. I love what the new owners have done with changing things around and making the store attractive and easier to shop. They are really nice people. The products are still the best anywhere around. I LOVE(d) this store so much. I always knew I would find something special. However, today I went there to find a housewarming gift, and a couple birthday presents and Valentines Day gifts. I planned on doing a big shop. I chose not to because they have now expressed clearly their politics. A Graham Platner sign in the window and NO ICE signs in the back made me realize it's not a shop for everyone anymore. I am an independent and really dislike it when establishments show what side they are on. Several of my republican friends have said the same and will not shop there anymore. It's so sad. I pray they reconsider and be a store where politics is not an issue and where everyone will feel welcome! I would be giving this same review if the signs were for republicans too. read more

Nest is a great store with a wide selection of products from beauty, household items, decor, kitchenware, and much more! I really appreciated the focus on Maine-made products, and the employees were very friendly and had a great knowledge of the products. You can find stuff there that you'd never find online! My wife bought placemats and lip balm from Nest, and she's very happy with her purchases. Coming from Missouri, we felt like it was a very welcoming place, as the new owner and employees not only treated us as customers, but also took time to chat with us and give us pointers about Brunswick! read more

Nest is my go to store for gifts and specialty items for my home, they have a wide variety of anything you could possibly need for entertaining as well! The employees there are always helpful and welcoming and the store is always clean! I also love that they support local artists! read more

I have been going to this store for years, and I always felt like there were not enough local products in an area where there are so many artisans. I have been very pleasantly surprised with the new owner, Lisa, who is very community minded and knowledgeable. Lisa has not only brought in more local goods, but she is always helpful as is her entire staff. I love to come into the store because I feel so welcomed. Not to mention, I absolutely love looking through all the changing stock and beautiful, comfortable, and useful things. I'm so happy to have this amazing place in my community. read more

Not my favorite ~ There are so many wonderful boutiques in the general area that are warm & inviting. This place feels cold & out of place on a quaint Main Street in New England. read more

Nest has new owners and the place is amazing! I've always loved their merchandise~ great unique gifts and home goods. The vibe now is pure delight! It's fun to be there. Can't recommend highly enough. What a wonderful experience. The only problem is I wanted to buy one of everything! read more

Fear not- this place is MAGICAL! Need a gift, need decor, need a few moments of reprieve from the wind, or just some JOY? Look no further! NEST is all of the above, and then some. Nest has been a favorite for years- the new owners have made it so much better! There is a warm, friendly vibe- the store's offerings have expanded and there is something special at every price point in this store. I stopped in for the first time today and was blown away by the sales (50% off the discounted price), the quality of the items, and the overall vibe of the store. Lisa, one half of the husband/wife owner duo, was warm and welcoming and easily forgave my transgression of one of the customer cardinal rules: don't stay after closing. I will absolutely be back to shop here as it's local, sells unique items, and shopping here allows me to buy quality items without sacrificing an entire paycheck! So excited for Nest! read more

Lisa the owner at nest is such a sweet human. This store has such a wide selection of gifts and items. I challenge anyone to visit this store without finding something they want to take home! Her and her team were so helpful in helping us find what we needed. read more

I've recommended this store to everyone I know because I love the stuff they carry. You are guaranteed to find lots of stuff here that makes great gifts, which is why I insisted my 83 year old mother and my 14 year old kid head over there today, on Christmas Eve. Wow, was I excited! My kid noted a mug they liked. I set it aside with a lovely salesperson. I continue to shop, and ended up checking out with over $100 of stuff! But then my kid asked if I'd bought then the mug, explaining that they did NOT want it for Christmas, and they felt bad. So I waked the ten paces back to the counter from which I'd purchased many items just 2 minutes before, and explained my situation to the sales person. She noted I'd not even left the store yet. Then a commanding woman with white hair and stylish frames took over, asking, "What is the matter here?" I explained that my kid did not in fact like the mug. She told me I was welcome to swap it out with something else. I explained that I would prefer to return it. "We don't do returns. You can exchange it or we can give you a store credit." I mused aloud that I could pick something else out. She said, I kid you not, "You have ten minutes." They were about to close. My 83 year old mother was behind me, preparing to purchase something. I really felt just so angry at the manner in which this individual spoke with me. It was totally unnecessary, I felt all the Xmas spirit I mustered wither right then and there. The nice employee looked mortified. I said, "Never mind. I'll just put [the mug] in my airbnb," choosing instead to extricate myself from this toxic interaction. Once outside, my mother told me, "You should take your business elsewhere. There was no need for her to speak to you that way." And then my 14 nodded in agreement. All three of us were appalled. It had been such a nice day we'd spent together up until that point. Fortunately, we headed to Gulf of Maine Books right after that and met some of the nicest sales folks/business owners ever. Take your business there instead! In the future, I'll go to Nest and see what I like. Then I'll shop for all of those items online and get them way cheaper. Not only is the owner (if that is who this woman was) insanely rude, all of their products are marked way way up. As you can see, they made an impression. Happy Holidays to all! :) read more

Nest is a carefully curated home goods store on the main strip in Brunswick Maine, that is definitely worth a stop if you are in town. It is an excellent place to find a gift for that hard to buy for person in your life. On the main floor, there is an abundance of lovely serving pieces and linens for the kitchen. There is also an excellent selection of candles and jewelry and typically a seasonal section. When I was there recently, it was all manner of lovely touches for the garden. Nest also has a downstairs, with larger furniture items for sale like bed frames, couches and chairs. You access the downstairs in the very back of the store on the left...and on your way there, don't miss the shelves of lovely stationary and journals, right before you head down the stairs! read more

Big fan of Nest! It's got everything ranging from housewares to fancy decorative stuff to assorted tchotchkes to suit all price points and aesthetic objectives. I'm not sure what I'd do with any of the dozens of different kinds of tiny ceramic dishes (sushi night? forever?), but it's a whole thing. Great selection of cards, stationery-esque things (big fan of Rifle Paper Company), household linens (blankets? dish towels? go crazy!), cocktail napkins. read more

Stopped by on one of the hottest days yet, it was a 100 degree day and this place was a great spot to cool down for a bit and look around at the fun little vessels, vases, holders, trinkets etc. They have a bit of everything and would make a great place for anyone looking for the perfect host/hostess gift, or really any gifting needs for that matter. From mugs, to locally made cards, to ornaments, to candles, Nest has it all. The displays are packed with fun finds, but it is all done in such a clean and tidy way that everything looks full and bountiful without being overwhelming. A beautiful store with so many fun finds. read more

Brunswick is lucky to have this gem of a shop! The owner is fantastic, the staff are responsive and kind, and the selection is out of this world. Some things never change. Yesterday I decided to give Nest another browse after about a 5 year absence. What's new? Absolutely nothing! It's chock full of the same old tired, dated stuff. And the rude employees I remembered from before? Still there! You can walk within a foot of them and they still will never acknowledge you. read more

After reading the reviews my experience is no surprise. Rude and not customer focused experience. Ten minutes before closing they were telling the shoppers they were closing. Two minutes before closing they were telling people they were closed and making them feel like they had to leave. Told them my son wanted to make a purchase and thanks for kicking us out. Their response was it is 6pm. It was still 5:58. When I pressed that it was not 6pm their response was we did not have enough time to make a purchase. I'll be surprised if they are still open in the next 2-4 years. Don't shop here. read more

It seems like every great downtown has a store like Nest -- a beautiful space that's stuffed with interesting and unique merchandise that's lovingly curated and thoughtfully placed throughout the store. Nest would be a great place to browse for gifts for friends, family, and even yourself if it weren't for the boorish owner behind the counter who regularly amuses himself by making insulting comments at the expense of his customers just loudly enough so he hopes they hear him. Luckily, there are plenty of other shops worthy of your time and money in downtown Brunswick. This shopper recommends you steer clear of Nest and visit one of them instead. read more

Absolutely adore this store! Love the furniture selection, home goods and leather items (Latico leathers! ).

Everything is very overpriced and the women who work there are extremely rude. Most of the products are scratched and broken! They obviously do not value customer service and it does not make shopping there a good experience. Just go next door to Hatch! read more

I love this store! It's a must stop whenever we are in Brunswick. Incredible selection of house items, furniture, art, collectibles, kitchen oddities, jewelry - you name it, you will find it here. The bottom floor is great with tons of furniture and throw pillows. I love their jewelry selection. In fact, I have gotten more compliments on the flower wooden earrings I purchased here (a steal at $20) than any other piece of jewelry in recent memory so I made a special trip back to buy a pair for a friend and a Christmas present. The prices for many items are a bit expensive but the quality appears very good. We bought a throw pillow that has a whale and is just delightful and it's very sturdy for a pillow. I haven't found the woman at check out to be very friendly though which is a pity. It wouldn't stop me from returning, of course, and I definitely recommend stopping in when in the downtown. read more

Nest - Great earrings - Home Decor Near Me - Brunswick, Maine

Still a cool store and pricey but the employees are nice and they are helpful and they still let you absorb the beauty of their store without jumping on you to buy stuff. But hey, I buy stuff...:) This is a fabulous store, it is next to another store I shop at too. How fortunate for me and for them!! read more

I thought Nest was a really cool store. I browsed for a while, had pleasant small talk with people working there, and left without purchasing a thing. I'd definitely go back and probably will as the holidays get closer. I had read the other reviews before I walked into the store and was watching for obnoxious employees. I didn't see any. read more

Great stuff but rude employees. We had a number of items picked to purchase out when our child needed to go to the bathroom. Having frequented Brunswick businesses for the past 20 years I knew how flexible and friendly the area was and assumed that the child of a customer would be welcomed to use their restroom. Unfortunately no- as the store employee explained, their landlord simply wouldn't allow them to let a 4 year old use the bathroom when nature called, and they were unwilling to help. So we went to Wylers a few doors down and not only did they have an even better selection of items, they also graciously opened their restroom doors to a 4 year old. read more

Perfect store for creative, unique gifts and home goods. Huge selection, chock full of cool stuff. Prices are not bad and it is a great local store. I live this place and recommend it to everyone. I visited Nest in August and had a very pleasant experience. It was a pleasure to stumble upon this cute store, seeing as I was visiting from North Carolina. I found many quality gifts, which were truly unique to Maine. The woman working behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I ended up purchasing a couple local artist prints and a coffee mug for camping. I would say that most of the items were fairly priced, as I know they were made locally. My partner and I will be relocating to the area in the next few months and will look forward to stopping by Nest more frequently! We support local businesses and want to see them succeed! read more
