Bought 2 lovely pieces of furniture, a sofa and a rocker-swivel chair. Both were very attractive…read moreand comfortable. The trouble started when they were delivered. The under-liner of the sofa was ripped in a way the suggested it was damaged in shipping. It did not affect the comfort so I asked them to fix it instead of replacing it. They promptly did just that. They stapled in 3 gauzy cloth panels, each of different color, using short staples which fell out after 4 days. No big deal compared to the problems we had with the chair as reported in another review. I suggest having them replace stuff if you have the same problem. Also beware of buying off the floor as their warranty policy is murky.

It's a little crowded and when it's busy, you will bump into people or things. The selection of gifts, crafts and other random things like stickers is pretty great - much of it is made in Maine by local artists/creators. I don't know that I have ever left there empty handed. The cheeky stickers get me everytime. There are craft time of things for kids as well. Be careful if you bring active children in the store. There is a lot that is breakable.

Anyway, warm welcome, quick to answer questions, no heavy pressure, just "there's more upstairs." Not everything is for everyone-- but they have a lot of choices, good brands, and as important-- different scales for smaller or larger spaces. We also wanted to re-upholster our dining room chairs-- and the people at the store were so helpful and supportive as we chose the fabric. We love what we ended up with. Evan the upholsterer and his team are amazing. The antique chairs look great with their new covers and thicker seats. The delivery guys were cheerful and enthusiastic about the work that had been done. Like someone else said, I'm buying all my furniture from Country Farm from now on.

Treasures of all kinds can be found here: coins, costume jewelry, carnival glass, strange t-shirts, stranger home decor, toys and statues, books and buttons, vintage electronics, old kitchenware, a guitar corner... you could come here every week and find something new (new to you, anyway)! So many friendly and knowledgeable people; I watched one vendor explain to a couple how flea markets worked (she genuinely encouraging them to barter for anything they were interested in). We had a couple vendors tell us that they had lots of stuff 25% to 40% off, just to ask if we were curious. Make it a point to visit here, especially in the winter months when the farmers market is happening at the same time. It makes for a wonderful Saturday morning outing!

Prices vary since each vendor sets their own, so it's a mix of splurge-worthy items and super affordable gems. I walked out with a new mug and some adorable little spoons. The inventory has definitely grown and there's not as many "local Maine" items as there was. But it's all high quality, hand picked special things that need to find a home in your house. There's Maine-themed stuff, Maine-made stuff, ocean themed stuff, baby stuff, kitschy stuff, women's clothing, books, bags, candles, mugs, jewelry, and so, so much more. From my limited experience, they also really bring the holidays to life here, so if you were to visit around Easter it would be "dressed-up" differently than if you visited around Halloween. It makes you want to come back because... what seasonal gifties might you find?! A tiny chick-still-in-the-shell stuffed animal or an adorable bat print onesie? Depends on when you come. When I first came it was just to browse (I get the sense that if you wanted to visit, and reeeeaaaaally take your time just looking around, that would be totally okay!), but ended up buying 1) a really sturdy metal hair clip (that I was promised wouldn't break like all the plastic ones do) in white pearlescent and gold, and 2) *the cutest* retro, 90's-like, multi-strand necklace in pink cord, gold chain, and little cubes. Hard to describe, but it gives Taylor Swift Friendship Bracelet vibes. This warm and inviting place is one you really have to come see for yourself. Say hi to owner Hannah, she's positively lovely!
