I'm 50 years old and was looking for a personal trainer who truly understands low-impact strength training--and I couldn't be happier that I found Chris at North Valley. I visited several gyms in North Phoenix before deciding, and most of them focused on high-impact, CrossFit-style workouts that just weren't right for me. Chris stood out immediately. He offers exactly what I was looking for: effective, personalized strength training in a boutique-style environment where I feel comfortable and supported. He runs semi-private sessions that are small enough to give everyone individual attention, but he also offers one-on-one personal training. From time to time, I like to schedule a personal training session with him to focus on specific goals or areas I want to improve--and it's always worth it. The gym community is fantastic, too. There's a wide range of ages, body types, and fitness levels--and absolutely no judgment. Everyone is friendly, encouraging, and just there to improve themselves. Addressing my situation After a heart attack in 2020, I went through several weeks of cardiac rehab, and I knew I would need to find a way to continue my exercise program. Fortunately I found True Fitness. I spoke with one of the owners, Gina, and I explained my situation. Gina set me up with a trial month, then a standard membership, and I started attending group sessions. I continue to be amazed at the amount of personal attention each member gets during each workout. The other owner, Ryan, is super knowledgable and has taken a personal interest in setting me up with a workout routine with my condition in mind. After six months of attending True Fitness, I feel better, stronger and healthier than I have been in years. KALANI has extensive academic and "hands-on" experience, including work in a physical therapy capacity. I highly recommend the gym and Kalani as a trainer! The staff and clients are polite, engaging and respectful. Nicko (staff) is also to be commended for his polite engagement and professionalism. Love this place. Highly recommend it.

    Beware!!! Ensure to keep an eye on your credit card statements as they can overcharge you and do…read morenot take responsibility and will blame it on their billing department and then when you call them on it, they say oh we're sorry it's a first time it happened ; well there is a first time for everything. Management at this establishment needs to learn to take full responsibility from the beginning and not at the end after you tell them that they should take full responsibility. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would stay away from here as they may overcharge your card and then you have to wait 3 to 5 business days for them to put the money back on your card, but they will give you stretch which is pretty much worthless, so I told them they can keep that as well.

I am a true believer in Stretchlab for increasing range of motion and flexibility. An assisted stretch by someone else is much more beneficial than stretching alone. I really like the open concept with stretching tables are located. This allows more than one stretching treatment at a time. There could be several other clients being stretched at the same time, yet independently. I have less joint and muscle pain now. There are several packages to choose from depending on your budget and time availability. I go every other week for 50 minute sessions. Davon or 'D' is very thorough and gives me homework between sessions. Libby is at the front desk and schedules appointments for people, as well as explaining program options. Both Davon and Libby are friendly and helpful, as well as being knowledgeable
