They had lots of coasters, dish towels and aprons with funny sayings, the kind that actually have you laughing out loud, no emoji necessary! The women that work here are super friendly. They provide the level of assistance you need or want and let you browse at your leisure if that's your thing. My favorite is their collection of Waxing Poetic brand jewelry, a collection of mixed metal necklaces and charms that enable you to create your own piece of jewelry as each can be purchased separately. They have one of the few collections in the Palm Springs area. The charms come in different sizes, many celestial, and all have a saying on the back. Just love! I have always found the staff, friendly and helpful. A year ago, I decided to move to Palm Desert and and continued my Residential Interior Design here. I've been to the store a few times. I am not sure what is happening at this location, "Palm Desert CA " , but the staff looks extremely unhappy. specifically one gentleman who calls himself the store manager but he is not. I have seen him picking fights with different clients almost every time I go there. I have tried to strike a friendly note with him, trying to calm him down. At one occasion, out loud, he was telling a client that his job is what people call "choose wisely" at the beginning of ones career. Once he was staring down at a client to a point where the lady started yelling " Are you staring me down? may I talk to your manager?" With a great attitude, he responded, "you are talking to him." Long story short, last time I was there I was doing heavy shopping for a 85 year-old woman. Nothing big knickknacks and kitchen items and Home Staples. I was doing a small project for her here at the desert. she has various ailments and I had to be careful choosing the right products for her, which is light enough and easy to operate. Thus it took me over two hours in the store to do selection of various items.. I think that had raised a red flag with the staff. I was treated so poorly there. I had over five workers approaching me and asking " can we help you with something? it seems you've been here for a long time . Every time I would respond, yes I am buying for a client. I need to make the right selections for to clients situation. Sorry this takes time. I do understand store security is important and shrinkage is a problem, but not everybody is a thief . I do believe I dress up nicely and present present not like a bum, so not sure what the issue was ? At the end, yes, the same man approached me aggressively with the same question. May we hrlp you? You have been here for a long time . I broke out in anger, saying "is there a problem sir? " I'm buying over $800 worth of products here. Nevertheless, I was followed by him until I went to the checkpoint and paid for the products and left the building. Funny enough, he knows me from previous purchases from him, which always has been over five to $600. I tried to make a complaint to their head offices. I got a email saying that my concern has been sent to the store manager Jennifer Martinez and she will get back with me shortly . This was a month ago and no one did. again, it's a pity. I love the store and most probably I will be shopping at their other locations, but this one definitely has some major staff issues . I will not be returning there. Who would like to be treated like that?......

I would have given 5 stars but I took one off for price/value as I noticed some items were inappropriately priced. There was a marble top 'antique Empire plant stand' for $425.00 that was not an antique, but a reproduction sold by the Bombay Company. Also, I overheard the sales lady quoting a price of $1,500 or $1,600 (I can't remember the exact amount) for a set of Fall of the Roman Empire books, which I was able to find and purchase on Ebay for $100 that evening. So do your research when you shop here and be sure you are paying the correct price.

We booked a Saturday 11:00 am candle making private party in our Airbnb and bought some tiny bites, and setup our mimosa bar! I also bought some flowers, and played some romantic French cafe music .... it was the perfect setting. Ciarra was a wonderful teacher ... very patient! She came early and set everything up for our candle making party. I have done some candle making before with the birthday girl actually, knew a little already but learned so much from Ciarra. It was so fun smelling all the different fragrances and learning how to blend them, and learning about adding colors / blending colors... Besides being so knowledgable, she is so patient and sweet! All of our candles turned out perfectly and we all bickered as to who had the better candle lol... Even my boyfriend who tried to get out of it at first, admitted he had a good time. I know it could be way too early for people, but you can never be prepared for the holidays. Plus all their fall decors are on sale as well. I, like many others love to prepare and get things ahead of time before they sell out. And yes things do sell out quite fast with social media platforms going virals with items. They do start towards the end of summer to prepare and set up but I think the sale tends to happen beginning of September or late August. They were still setting things up as some isles were still pretty bare but I knew what I was coming. Plus browsing and seeing what they have for this year. Alot of regular but the new season decors are alway great. Plus, holidays items are a whopping half off now. Hence people are loading up and starting the holiday decor shopping. And everything is half off even the tress which is an amazing deal. Social media does promote items so they do sell out fast. I don't know how often things get replenish but best of luck. Ribbons are a main thing that's worth getting as the rates are so good being half off. Honestly, the reason for me coming here is for their holidays items. They do carrying pretty much everything else seasonal and decors. But I like coming for the Christmas items mainly.

No one there at any of the 4 registers. 10 feet away at the returns desk there 5 employees hanging out while only is tending to a customer. They see me standing at register ready to pay and was looking right at them, but they said and did nothing but continue to stand around the returns counter yuckin it up. I finally say something to the gaggle of them and only then does one of them say that I need to pay at the returns counter that they are all huddled around. What a bunch useless knuckheads. Do better! I typically only shop here when a really have no option for the specific hobby related item I need, but after this experience plus their well known lack of social inclusivity, I'm done.
