I have always found the staff, friendly and helpful. A year ago, I decided to move to Palm Desert and and continued my Residential Interior Design here. I've been to the store a few times. I am not sure what is happening at this location, "Palm Desert CA " , but the staff looks extremely unhappy. specifically one gentleman who calls himself the store manager but he is not. I have seen him picking fights with different clients almost every time I go there. I have tried to strike a friendly note with him, trying to calm him down. At one occasion, out loud, he was telling a client that his job is what people call "choose wisely" at the beginning of ones career. Once he was staring down at a client to a point where the lady started yelling " Are you staring me down? may I talk to your manager?" With a great attitude, he responded, "you are talking to him." Long story short, last time I was there I was doing heavy shopping for a 85 year-old woman. Nothing big knickknacks and kitchen items and Home Staples. I was doing a small project for her here at the desert. she has various ailments and I had to be careful choosing the right products for her, which is light enough and easy to operate. Thus it took me over two hours in the store to do selection of various items.. I think that had raised a red flag with the staff. I was treated so poorly there. I had over five workers approaching me and asking " can we help you with something? it seems you've been here for a long time . Every time I would respond, yes I am buying for a client. I need to make the right selections for to clients situation. Sorry this takes time. I do understand store security is important and shrinkage is a problem, but not everybody is a thief . I do believe I dress up nicely and present present not like a bum, so not sure what the issue was ? At the end, yes, the same man approached me aggressively with the same question. May we hrlp you? You have been here for a long time . I broke out in anger, saying "is there a problem sir? " I'm buying over $800 worth of products here. Nevertheless, I was followed by him until I went to the checkpoint and paid for the products and left the building. Funny enough, he knows me from previous purchases from him, which always has been over five to $600. I tried to make a complaint to their head offices. I got a email saying that my concern has been sent to the store manager Jennifer Martinez and she will get back with me shortly . This was a month ago and no one did. again, it's a pity. I love the store and most probably I will be shopping at their other locations, but this one definitely has some major staff issues . I will not be returning there. Who would like to be treated like that?......

Visited this store for the first time while in search of antique decor for our houses. Upon…read morewalking in I was immediately greeted with a feast for the eyes of truly gorgeous high end pieces, all very thoughtfully displayed with each piece complimenting the next. I was impressed by the quality of the selection and the variety of eras and styles being sold, such as Art Nouveau, Victorian, Oriental, etc. The sheer volume of attractive wares was stunning, and it was a high pleasure to peruse the aisles of Delany's. I would have given 5 stars but I took one off for price/value as I noticed some items were inappropriately priced. There was a marble top 'antique Empire plant stand' for $425.00 that was not an antique, but a reproduction sold by the Bombay Company. Also, I overheard the sales lady quoting a price of $1,500 or $1,600 (I can't remember the exact amount) for a set of Fall of the Roman Empire books, which I was able to find and purchase on Ebay for $100 that evening. So do your research when you shop here and be sure you are paying the correct price.

I wanted something memorable and unique, something involving alcohol lol ... and found this wonderful, highly rated activity. I didn't realize we had the option of having the candle making party in our own place - how crazy fun is that?! We booked a Saturday 11:00 am candle making private party in our Airbnb and bought some tiny bites, and setup our mimosa bar! I also bought some flowers, and played some romantic French cafe music .... it was the perfect setting. Ciarra was a wonderful teacher ... very patient! She came early and set everything up for our candle making party. I have done some candle making before with the birthday girl actually, knew a little already but learned so much from Ciarra. It was so fun smelling all the different fragrances and learning how to blend them, and learning about adding colors / blending colors... Besides being so knowledgable, she is so patient and sweet! All of our candles turned out perfectly and we all bickered as to who had the better candle lol... Even my boyfriend who tried to get out of it at first, admitted he had a good time. I was wrong, they have beautiful displays and colors. Whenever I see a home with color coordinated accessories, I wonder where they buy them. It's those little accent pieces that light up a room, from a bookend to picture or carved item on the shelf, you will find something here. I wished they had pre-arranged bouquets in various colors ready to buy. You can, however, select your preferred colors and they can arrange for you. If you haven't been inside a Hobby Lobby, you're somewhat kind of missing out...lol... There's literally everything, a Michael's, Joann's and toss of Home Goods. I love that everytime you walk in there's alway some kind of sale going on. And when they have the sales, it's alway worth it. 40-50 percents off and sometime more. This visit I needed some stuff for putting together orchids arrangements. The pots that they have are pretty well priced and beautiful. Clean and modern is what I was looking for which I found some pots for 5.99 a piece. Can't beat that. And the moss, this place was the only place that I found a massive bag of moss for an amazing deal of 9.99 for the bag. Even other crafts stores varies about the same or more but for a way smaller bag. Instantly walking in the store, you're pretty much going to see something that'll catch your eye. I have to limit myself on what to come for and stick to that as it ends up being things I didn't need. But at the time I needed it then...lol.... Oh, during the holidays is the time it's alway loaded with amazing stuff and the deals are excellent. I dint know if it's a regular thing for them but I do love that they'll have loads of items on sale before the holidays so load up. Plenty of parking which is a major plus. I did noticed that there wasn't many cashier on deck when I stopped by. Both times, there was maybe 2 the most ringing up people. I recommend coming during the day or when they open up. Store is always clean and easy parking. On this visit the customer service here was exceptionally poor. I went to the register to pay for my item. No one there at any of the 4 registers. 10 feet away at the returns desk there 5 employees hanging out while only is tending to a customer. They see me standing at register ready to pay and was looking right at them, but they said and did nothing but continue to stand around the returns counter yuckin it up. I finally say something to the gaggle of them and only then does one of them say that I need to pay at the returns counter that they are all huddled around. What a bunch useless knuckheads. Do better! I typically only shop here when a really have no option for the specific hobby related item I need, but after this experience plus their well known lack of social inclusivity, I'm done.
