Terrible Roofing Experience I would not recommend this roofing company based on my experience. The quality of work and the care taken with my property were extremely disappointing. During the job, the crew broke string lights in our backyard and left nails, Sawzall blades, roofing debris, and other materials scattered throughout the yard and garage. The lawn was damaged/killed in areas, and materials were not properly covered or protected. The debris was not limited to the work area. It ended up throughout the garage, including on our refrigerator, tools, and music equipment. A printer was also damaged by debris. Because we have children who play in the yard, leaving sharp nails and blades behind was especially concerning and unacceptable. I ultimately had to take time off work to clean up the mess that was left behind and remove debris from my belongings and garage. What was equally frustrating was the response when these issues were brought up. Rather than taking responsibility and addressing the concerns professionally, the owner came across as dismissive and annoyed. The overall impression was that the priority was getting the job done quickly and getting paid, rather than taking pride in the work or respecting the customer's property. For the amount of money involved in a roofing project, I expected professionalism, attention to detail, proper cleanup, and respect for my property. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. He was recommended by a co-worker. After getting 3 other bids his bid was accepted. He did everything! I wasn't totally sure the job was going to get done because he never had any questions besides the color I wanted. I ended up adding to the job, roofing for an attached shed and gutter. He rolled with it, very slight increase in price which I felt was more than fair. Highly recommend. I'll try to add a picture soon read more

Had them install a roof on my main home and 2 separate buildings! Was done in 2 days and looked great! But once going up on all the roofs found a million nails just left everywhere and full bundles of nails left. There were nails all over my property in the front lawn and my driveway and in the backyard on my kids toys. I'm still picking nails up or my kids will when they find them and it's been months. They had replaced a wood board that apparently had dry rot in it and then put primer on it and then leaked paint on my driveway.. there were multiple nails that had bent on the guy and he just hammered them In side ways and this was a visible showing part of my home.. they said they don't paint just primer the replace piece. Never met anyone or was told the house was completed. Then received a text just wanting me to complete the completion call with the company I had financed through so they could be paid.. roof looks great but service and clean up was horrible!! read more

Back in May, 2024, I searched for roofing companies close to Escalon, CA 95320 that advertised free estimates. A contractor acquaintance suggested Thomas Ford Roofing. Believing word of mouth referrals are the way to go, I contacted Ford Roofing after finding a listing in the Yellow Pages. I made an appointment for Tom Ford to have him come out, look at my roofing needs, and give me a quote. His was not the only quote I got. I live in an old home in Escalon, built there in 1938 and remodeled on and off by my father. I inherited the home when my parents passed on, and three areas were in need of a new roof --- a granny cottage behind the garage, the garage itself, and the main house. I got the quote from Tom Ford and after looking at my options, I chose Ford Roofing company, both because the bid was a reasonable one for the work and because I got a good feeling while talking to Tom himself. He was calm and clear as to what he thought needed to be done, he was not a "pressure" person, and he seemed to know what he was talking about. I also checked other posted reviews of his company's work and found nothing but positive postings. The work was scheduled for August, and the first week of the month the work began. The crew was small, polite, and friendly, and got right to the task. The cottage and garage were both total tear off jobs, and the house was a re-cover of the existing roof. I wanted everything to match. The job took a total of 5 days, with one day off to accommodate the building inspector. The crew was on time every day, took only an hour for lunch, and did quiet, efficient work. The materials were to my liking, and the job progressed and was completed on time at the end of the week. Start on Monday, Tuesday off, and completion after Wednesday-Friday. The job was done efficiently, they left the work site clean and neat at the end of each work day, and the finished project is beautiful and done to perfection. I have nothing but great results to speak about and have already received many compliments from neighbors and friends who have driven by and seen what was happening at my home. The house looks like new and I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Thomas Ford Roofing for your new roofs. You won't be sorry. read more

As a senior, I am not used to getting good service- I knew no roofers, had heard of Thomas Ford roofing. I recently had a roof repair as a result of a serious roof leak. Thomas Ford Roofing identified the problem and repaired the leak promptly- The leak was repaired in a very timely manner, eliminating any further damage. The repair men were personable and professional, in addition to being expert in their repair skills. Management and sales are truly professional and ethical, which is unusual in my past experiences. This company did a reroof on my house in 2010 garanteed for 7 years. started leaking as far as I knew after about 4. Finally came out and said it was leaves on roof and charged me 200.00. Well long story short they didn't do it write and has been leaking all these years! Having to have it done correctly at the tune of 2500.00. A few weeks ago Thomas Ford Roofing replaced the 37-year old roof on our church building, and it looks great. They started promptly at 7:00 am on a Monday morning as promised, and finished the entire job by the end of Thursday. They left the property clean and safe after each day of work. Tom is a God-send. From start to finish he was a consummate professional and came through for me every step of the way. I am a senior citizen on an extremely tight income and have been taken advantage of by contractors before. Tom personally made sure that I got everything I needed and took great care of me. Let me start by saying We got 11 different quotes. EVERYBODY told me a part of my roof (that was only 3 years old) needed repair, and up charged me by a thousand bucks or more. The FIRST thing Tom Ford said to me during his quote was "there is a part of your roof that looks like it's only a few years old.. I would recommend leaving it be, and save yourself the thousand dollars." That's when I knew he was our guy, and it only got better from there. The quote he gave me was the quote we payed. Quote for quote, he was the lowest. He even went to bat for us with the insulation guy when he thought we may be getting over charged. He started on time, finished on time, cleaned up propperly, and was polite. Seriously, when I shared his quote with another roofer, that roofers response to me was "good luck with that." My wife had twins in February and a week after she and the babies got back from the hospital our roof began to leak. It was also during a week where rain was forecasted everyday. I called multiple companies in the morning and nobody would come out. However, around 4pm my dad gave me Thomas Fords number that he got from a guy at work. I explained what was going on to ford regarding the leak and how we just got home from the hospital. Within 15 minutes he was at our house and fixed the leak. While he was here I had him give a quote on replacing the entire roof which turned out to be better than expected. I decided to replace the roof and had a few companies come out to give a quote just to see if Ford was a fair price. Nushake came out and gave a quote that was 5k higher and when I told them about Ford's quote they said they knew him and that he is an honest guy but must be stuck in 2013 prices if he really gave me that quote. They seemed to believe the quote was made up. I got one other quote from another roofer who was about 100 dollars cheaper but did not seem as experienced or trustworthy as Thomas. Anyways, I decided to go with Ford because of him coming out that day with the leak, he seemed very trustworthy, and because I know people who have had their house done by him and really liked his work. The roof was finished in 3 days and inspected today on 6/21/18. My wife and I are incredibly pleased by the job done. Thomas is very particular about keeping things clean and ensuring that you are happy with the work. There were no hidden prices. His quote is what the final price was. I also had him insulated the house with spray insulation which has already dramatically lowered how long my AC is running for. I highly recommend Thomas Ford roofing. His team does a great job, he is very reasonably priced, and truly seems like an honest guy. read more

I can't thank the TFR company enough for the good job they did for me. He came the week before to give me an estimate on some repairs I needed on my rain gutters, a small job for them. He wasn't sure what day he could come do the actual repairs, he was busy with a huge job elsewhere. But, he and his helper showed up the following Monday to do everything I needed done. My entire roof was replaced by Manteca Elite Roofing 3 years ago. There have been minor problems but most recently I called and learned that Elite is no longer in business and that Thomas Ford Roofing is taking the phone calls at Elite's phone number. Tom came out within 24 hours and addressed my concerns (some shingle lifting and flashing problems). He performed the repairs where necessary on the flashing and explained the minor lifting was normal in my circumstance - and he did so as a courtesy. However when the scheduled date and time arrived no one showed up, and I didn't receive a call letting me know why.
