Salt of the earth owners and the food is authentic, fresh and deliciously flavored. Good portions too. Prices are right.

The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.

Finally got the chance to try out Topclass Jamaican Bar & Grill. Now, as a child of Jamaican…read moreparents, I struggle to find Jamaican cuisine that even holds a candle to the home-cooked foods my parents raised me on. Needless to say, I came to Topclass with no expectations. I wanted to visit with a clean slate in mind and enjoy whatever I ordered. Ultimately, I did enjoy my dish; however, it was not the BEST I had ever had of said dish. So, to start, it was not packed at all upon arrival - which was great because service was very good. The waiter was kind as well as helpful. She explained the menu thoroughly and was attentive. I ordered their curry chicken with rice and peas and plantains. The rice & peas and plantains were REALLY good. They also added extra curry gravy to the rice. The curry chicken was OKAY. (Sadly, I just prefer my mother's.) It was flavorful but in an OKAY way. My friend who was with me ordered their Oxtail and LOVED EVERY BIT of it. So, on my next visit, I'll be trying their Oxtail. Anyways, as I noted, the curry chicken was okay. Their drinks were good. I also got to try out a new drink the bartender was mixing - which was a fun little treat. Their pricing is decent. There's ample parking. The overall vibes were GREAT. They had a really great playlist going that afternoon, so that was nice. They also have an outdoor seating area - which, when the weather is a bit more forgiving, I would love to sit outdoors and eat. Overall, it was a good first experience. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out more of their menu.

When we arrived, our waitress mentioned she was the floor manager, but honestly she seemed to be doing every job bartender, server, running food, outside, in the kitchen she was everywhere. Because of that, we had long waits just to place orders or ask for anything we needed. I ordered the French toast with an extra side of bacon. When the food came out, they forgot my syrup. When I asked for it, someone told me I had to pay for syrup, even though I never received any in the first place. I also ordered a lychee mimosa, and it took about 20 minutes just to get the drink, which was frustrating. The bingo portion was fun, but the rounds felt spaced out about every 20-30 minutes. If you're sitting inside, the caller is hard to hear because the music continues to play, so you end up asking for numbers to be repeated. Overall, the whole experience felt unorganized. They definitely need more staff or better management during brunch events. This was my third time giving this location a chance, and unfortunately I will not be returning.
