Now I have been a fan of this is it since I moved to Atlanta years ago and the menu has expanded over the last 9 years or so. Plenty of booths to sit at , and i enjoyed looking at the timeline on the wall looking at the history of the restaurant. It was very clean large menu from chitterlings to rip tips to wings. Sides vary from cabbage , greens, black eyed peas Mac and cheese etc. they have servers on the other side to fill your plates. It's post turkey day and the last bit of turkey needed to be eaten but all my sides are gone lol I just needed yams and greens. There were 4 ppl ahead of me. Now idk what happ I couldn't tell you but it took me 20 minutes to get my food. I greens and sweet potato soufflé. I have always loved the greens the sweet potato soufflé was good as well just not as sweet as I thought it would be and it didn't have any marshmallows but I still really like the texture. Total came to a little over $20 for two medium sides. Overall I def will be back just will expect to wait in line read more

This Is It restaurants has reduced their carry out carton sizes and food portions yet they're persistent at raising their food prices which is a common practice I've noticed at many similar restaurants. I have complained to the Union City and Fayetteville location about reducing their food portions and carry out carton size; you don't get your money's worth. I pay an average between $17-$25 per visit just for myself when I visit their restaurants and I'm not getting my money's worth in return. Actions speaks louder than words; they won't be getting my money anymore. DEFINITELY NOT RETURNING!!!! There was a piece of plastic in my mom's food!!! She nearly choked on it!!! The experience was awful - I ordered food To-Go. I thought I saw the lady place my food in the bag, but when I got home (30 minutes later), I noticed portions of my order was missing. I called the restaurant right away and when I finally got through, I was told that the rest of my order was sitting on the counter (the person who prepared my plate, rang it up, and presented my food had left portions of it on the counter). I drove right back to the restaurant to get the food I'd paid for. The cashier gave me a piece of cake for my troubles. The cake was incredibly dry - I tossed it in the trash. My entire experience with this restaurant-from the food with foreign objects in it to the hard cake and the awful customer service...my entire experience was less than 1 star!!!! We decided to stop by This Is It for the 2 for $35 deal. I thought there was a drive through, but actually it's buffet style. It was a little difficult to order because the acoustics in the open floor plan restaurant make it difficult to hear (or maybe I'm just old?) The buffet had plenty of delicious options! We got 2 main entrees, 2 sides, 2 desserts & 2 drinks. Not only was it a huge portion (enough for two meals), the taste was amazing! We chose: The rib tips, fried tilapia, mac n cheese, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, strawberry & peach punch. All for $39! Everything was excellent! Oh, and I met CeeLo Green while I was ordering! He's a regular! The employees said there's often celebrity sightings at the restaurant. I love the staff and the food is great but...... since C-19 hit, they have increased their prices making it unaffordable for a family to eat here any longer. Despite the overall look and cleanliness on the inside of the restaurant which was unattractive, the food was very good. The catfish nuggets were crispy and cooked through and through but the sweet potato soufflé was cooked longer than I would have liked. The coleslaw was average. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT AND CORPORATE POLICY Nov 14 I placed a 2-meal order online and prepaid with a credit card. When placing the order I confirmed the readiness time - 6:05 - met my need to be home by 6:30. I arrived at the restaurant at 6:05, parked and called 770-731-1397 as the confirmation email instructed. The staff member told me they had no chicken and instructed me to wait for 20 minutes and call back. I went into the store and spoke with the manager - Jonathan - who confirmed they had no chicken. I requested that he cancel my order and credit card charge. He said he was unable to do either and I would "have to call corporate". Upon further discussion he said that "they were very busy" and gestured to the 10-12 other customers sitting and waiting for their overdue orders. I left the store empty handed to rush home and later saw that there was a ThisIsIt charge on my credit card. 1. The restaurant should be prepared for dinner time surges. Management 101 2. The online ordering system and confirmation email should not promise times the restaurant already knows it will be unable to meet. Customer Service 101 3. The restaurant had my phone number and email and should proactively notify customers their orders are delayed before they travel to the store. Customer Service 101 4. The idea that a customer must "call corporate" to cancel an order or request a chargeback is ridiculous. I have to ask why this business puts a sign in the window stating it's hours of operations, if they don't honor those hours of operation. Businesses these days do not put their customer first or take pride in the values and codes they themselves apply to the business they own. If it's 9:10 pm and the door says close @ 10:00 pm, google states 10:00 pm, and I have to drive 30 minutes away. It's very rude and unprofessional to not be open when it's only 9:10 pm. My 2nd and probably last time visiting this establishment. The fish tasted "fishy" and smelled like it had been sitting in water overnight. It had a foul taste and it was totally not fit to eat. I have been cooking for over 30 years and know when fish is bad. The manager is going to make it right but it will probably be my last visit. Wanted to give this place a try because I wanted fried pork chops. 1st I must say for 15 US Dollars these were the smallest cuts I've seen in a restaurant. Secondly they were extremely overcooked on the border of burned. They were so DRY. They actually returned them with no problem and made me 2 more which weren't any better I just threw them away and went to Big Daddy's Dish for my chops. I'm from STL and like to eat local (not chain restaurants) when I'm traveling. I was very disappointed with my experience at This Is It. I had the smoked chicken wings. They were cold and dry. I could tell they were not fresh and had likely been in the warmer all day and maybe were even a day or two old. We dined in and we had to ask and wait for someone to clean off a table for us. Every time I come to town I love stopping here. I made it 30 mins until closing and to my surprise they had oxtails!! I was so excited. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing as usual. I love the fact how much food they give you and I had plenty of food the next day for leftovers. "This is it" is becoming a well known soul-food restaurant that is quickly expanding throughout Georgia. I love to go there for their chitterlings.!!! I usually frequent wither the Camp Creek or Decatur location, but since the Fayetteville store opened, its even easier to get good soul food more often. Today my husband and I both got the 2/$25 Whole Cat Fish dinner with a large chitterlings. Let's just say I'm more than happy. Even though it took a lil longer bc of a mix up in the kitchen, Nina ther server as well as the other young lady with the dreds (behind the line) went ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure we left 100% satisfied!!! They are advertising a $10.99 lunch sand which before 3:00pm. I tried the pulled pork and it really sucked. The meat was at least a few days old. Not the first time the rib tips they brag about old and tough. Someone needs to check the quality of the food serving. This was the Fayetteville location. I decided to try the same sand which at the new location on Hwy 138 and it was worse. They used to have good quality food before the pandemic. We stopped here for food after my stepsons graduation. There are lots of locations throughtout the Atlanta metro area. There was plenty of available parking. Upon entering, the restaurant was clean, and looks like it's brand new. There are large screens showing the menu and pics of the food. I ordered the 4 piece fried chicken wing dinner, husband had the catfish tenders, and son had the rib tips. Sides we selected: mac and cheese, yams, cabbage, yam souffle, cucumber salad. All were delicious. The fried items were all made fresh, the staff advised the wait was 15 minutes for fried items, but I was ok with it because we were not in a rush. Well fresh comes with some time. As a matter of fact, I have not received my order in under 35 minutes any time that I have been in this restaurant. I can catch, clean, and cook catfish in under 35 minutes. The young lady that gave me my order, was taking forever!! I was watching my fries get cold because they were waiting on hush puppies that should have been cooked at the same time as the fish. I went this evening to grab dinner but ended up not getting anything. This place is nasty! The food area wasn't clean there was food and liquid from the different vegetables all over the food bar. Let's not talk about the drink area. I asked for a cup so I could get some ice but this area had soda and whatever other drink all over the counter and the floor. I was truly scared that I may slip and fall. They really need to do better. It was much nicer when it first opened. With the pandemic going on you would think that they would be much cleaner. I really like this is but they seem to be dropping the ball on minor things. My rating is based on every time I come my bread (Texas toast and cornbread) are rock hard. And when I ask for another it's done with attitude and that bread still be hard. Bread can be a petty thing to complain about but when you're spending $17 on a single meal there should not be a single thing wrong with my order.
