My daughter was traveling late on a Sunday night from Kentucky to meet the rest of the family on vacation in Michigan when her car lost a tire. On a crummy, snowy night on the way back from vacation, I locked the keys in my Honda CR-V in a campground in Nineveh IN. I called my insurance road service and they sent out Chad from 31 Auto group. He got there within 20 minutes, was incredibly pleasant on such a crummy night and got our door open quickly and professionally. I have never had such quick roadside service and I was very impressed. I CANNOT RAVE ABOUT THIS SHOP ENOUGH!!! I was in a really rough spot financially and unfamiliar with the city I was at when my vehicle stopped on me out of nowhere! Being I had no idea what mechanic shop to have my vehicle towed to for service; I had no other choice but to get it towed to the closest dealership. Sure enough, the alternator was done for and it would need replacing following a $90 diag fee (which would NOT be applied towards the servicing of my vehicle)...total RIP-OFF in my opinion bc I was quoted an INSANE amount for parts & labor as it was!!! After calling around to many shops, I was getting deeply discouraged. Not only by the price, but by rushed customer service. A friend HIGHLY RECOMMEND Thirty One Auto Group and I am very pleased that I chose them! Chad (owner) went above and beyond (when other shops DID NOT) to ensure my vehicle was safely towed to his shop at a more than reasonable price when my insurance wanted me to pay a ridiculous out-of-pocket amount for them to have it towed from Plainfield to Thirty One Auto Group in Edinburgh. Not only was Chad & his team patient and accommodating, but they're Military friendly which a Vet like me can truly appreciate! They also repaired some other minor issues at no charge and followed up with me days after getting my vehicle back. I'm more than satisfied with their service and can 100% say I have FINALLY found my new mechanic shop!!! THANK YOU for servicing my vehicle and getting me back on the road! My sons truck had a passenger side, lower ball joint come apart after hitting a pothole. I brought it into the shop and left it. Three days later the truck was fixed. My son and I both asked how the other side (drivers side) looked? The shop owner said everything was tight. No problems. We paid and had to go to Belle tire for an alignment. You guessed it.... Three days later on 465 the drivers side lower ball joint came apart. Luckily no one was hurt. I called the shop and told them what happened. I told them I would have no problem paying for the repairs but I wanted them to pay for the tow. They own a wrecker and the obviously missed the ball joint when it was there just 3 days earlier. Seemed fair to me. I'll pay for the repairs and they eat the tow. Instead, the owner tells me, "that's not how the world works"..... No, that's just how it doesn't work at your shop! Integrity is still favorable. Just admit you missed it and do the descent thing. I'm getting the work done at another shop now for a lower price. Live and learn I suppose. I won't be back and neither will anyone i care about. read more

Not happy about my towing experience. The driver was reckless, first convincing me to let him hook my trailer up behind his flatbed and hauling it WITH NO F---ING LIGHTS so he could get us hooked into paying them extra for them to attempt to fix my truck. Then, with my wife and kids on board, taking my truck under a very low bridge which it cleared but he definitely had no clue or care if it would or not. When he got the truck to my house he lowered the truck at an extreme angle and, after my wife warned him not to lower it like that, damaged my $600 hitch because he was fed up already. Although I've only had contact with one person here, I can't recommend going here because I would bet you will be paying through the nose for unnecessary services. I'm just glad we got home safely and my truck is being serviced by my trusted mechanic... Superior Auto and Tow in Shelbyville who are very honest people. read more
