Over the weekend, after picking up an item from a friend's house, my car unexpectedly stalled and could no longer driver. After trying to figure out what was wrong with my car and seeing that it would not make it back to my home on its own, I looked at a few reviews for local towing companies. Ward's was the one that had the most consistent positive reviews, so I gave them a call. The gentleman that answered was kind and gave me a time estimate, apologizing for the long wait, as we were approaching the early evening hours. The tow truck game faster than the estimated time frame and I had my vehicle sitting at home soon waiting to go the mechanics the next day. From the Plainfield area to downtown Indy was about $133 for those looking for an idea of towing pricing. read more

They have Bigots working for them, they don't respect other people's property, one of their drivers curse people the attitude this guy displayed was nothing professional, was very aggressive, all because I asked him please don't mess up my grass, I would never recommend a company that hires employees that act like this. He couldn't even stop, he just keep on cursing, he even through his gloves to the ground, and his hat while walking up on me while I'm on my property, then got in the ground "SAYING YES SIR MASSIR YES MASSIR, good thing the same person I used to be,!!! But this was off his rocker, all this in front of Neibors who were also offended as well. The company is only as good as its workers. My car broke down in SoBro/Indianapolis - the wheel feel off - and I was able to pull over to a residential street. After taking to my insurance company, and waiting an hour only to find out a tow was never sent - I was on hold pending a new service provider. A Wards truck passed and stopped to check in on me (thank you kind sir!) and that gave me the idea to call them directly for help. They were kind, quick, and incredibly courteous in quoting me time and price. Oz was my technician, and I could not recommend this company and that gentleman enough. He was helpful, focused, thoughtful, and included me in on everything he was doing to get my car safely into the truck and towed to the garage. Was it my favorite experience? NOPE. I called for a tow on a busy afternoon. They had a driver to me within 30 minutes. The driver was professional, loaded my vehicle securely on a flat-bed truck, and took it straight to my mechanic. Their drivers are reckless. I've seen them use an exit ramp to pass cars on 465. The truck pictured went around a car on 465 into the exit lane for 74 and then back on 465. Granted, the car appeared to be going the speed limit and no one else was, but this driver of this flatbed was completely out of control. His actions indicate he probably doesn't have the temperament to drive - let alone a commercial vehicle. ***after the response from the company, I double down on the fact that the driver should not be driving. And the company gaslighting me is an indication of the management. Don't want bad reviews for your drivers putting the general public at risk, then I wouldn't use the vehicles as billboards. Don't try to bully your way out of a bad review by gaslighting the reviewer. read more

I blew a coolant line in my truck on my way to a bday party and was stuck with 2 preteen girls in my car right before the 465 E exit in the pouring rain. I was able to get a ride to the party and was able to set up service afterwards. Driver was there in 25 minutes. Got me hooked up and on the way, price was steep but what are you going to do? Called AAA to get our car towed because two tires were flat. Guess we ran over something with the drivers side wheels. Chris from Wards Towing was there in about 15 minutes, loaded us up and took us to Pomp's Tire Service, the only 24/7 place around. We were pleased with all the service we received in our time of need. Chris was friendly and professional and sympathetic to our plight. My car broke down late on Wednesday night. The tow truck was there within less than an hour and also texts you a picture of the driver with tracking information for the truck. Robert was his name and he was very pleasant to work with. He was very quick and professional. I was taking pictures of my car when the driver reassured me that he would be careful and the tow truck has 6 cameras on the back and showed them to me. Driver (Clem) arrived on time, did a great job of loading my extra-wide truck and safely delivered it to the repair shop. The last thing anyone wants is a broken down car and having to wait for a tow in the cold rain. I called AAA for a tow and Kyle was the man coming my way. Somehow the address was sent wrong and he circled around downtown Indy when I was actually located in Beech Grove. Not only did he follow through with the tow, instead of passing it off on someone else, he did it during rush hour traffic!! His spirits and personality were incredible! My wife and I had just returned from a 10 State/5 day vacation. We had returned our rental car on a Saturday. On Sunday we went to visit the family. On the way home our Truck's brakes went out. We were stuck! Sunday car rentals at 6PM are IMPOSSIBLE! We called Ward's. The Tow driver could not have been a better human being. He not only treated us like a professional should, but he was also friendly and even called us back to check on us as we had to Uber to the Airport and rent another car. WHO DOES THAT? Jerry did! He even visits a tourist location near our house in Southern Indiana. Guess who is getting a gift card to one of his favorite locations? Company policy be damned if they don't allow that! My wife commented a hundred times about how rare it was to find someone so real these days. What a Great Company, GREAT TOW RATES, and they sent the absolute best in the business in our opinion! Just had the unfortunate need to have a vehicle towed to a service shop for repair as it was not drivable. Having no experience with towing services I began a search and called 3 companies. Lucky for me one of those Ward's Towing. The gentleman on the phone was very polite and pleasant and was able to quickly provide a price that ended up being 15-20 dollars below the other two quotes. He said he could have a truck there within 20-25 minutes but the truck arrived in 10-15 minutes. Joe the driver was also pleasant and professional and he delivered the car to the shop in short order. So my experience with towing services resulted in a good one thanks to Ward's. Will definitely reach out to them again if the need arises. read more

Over charged me on towing through triple aaa charged me 9 miles when it was actually 8. When I complained I was told that he would impound my car. Driver eventually paid the 4 dollars himself and admitted it was it was only 8 miles but was told he had to charge for 9 read more

Ward Towing was called after another towing company failed to respond after 2 hours and then sent the wrong type of tow truck. I use Progressive roadside assistance and Ward was called after I was fed up with the other company. They were there in less than 15 minutes after being called. It was a very difficult wench job done in January 2013 after severe rain. The front of the car was stuck in nearly a foot of mud and access was limited. I wish I remembered the driver's name but he was younger man in his late 20's or early 30's. The poor guy had to put on a special suit so he could attach the wench in the shin deep freezing water and mud. He had the car out in just over 30 minutes. He was very friendly, professional and courteous. After such a bad experience with the previous company I am determined to only use Ward Towing. They are by far, the best towing company and experience I've had. read more

I was assigned this company when I used my Progressive Roadside Assistance. I was so pleased with the timeliness, courtesy and professionalism of Charlie and his company. He was prompt and polite and treated my car like a Lexus instead of the broken-down Ford that it really is. These guys subcontract with AAA, so when I needed towing AAA arranged for me to be picked up and my car towed to the garage...and I was supposed to also be TAKEN HOME by Ward's after the car was dropped off. This was arranged with AAA and is basically the standard way they do this; with an engine issue the mechanics had difficulty finding, I had to be towed several times this year. Instead, I was informed by the driver he was NOT instructed to take me home (this is a quote, but note below)--which was less than 3 miles away--and he did not even want to take me with the car to the (at that time closed) garage, and he wanted to abandon me at "the nearest gas station" which was 2 1/2 miles from my home. I had on two knee braces, being off crutches for only two weeks, and I had to argue vociferously to get him to even deposit me at the closest main intersection to my home, which was still a hard limping half-mile walk. Driver did not care AAA was supposed to have arranged my being taken home and his dispatcher backed him up. These guys are idiots. The owner wants me to tell you I was offered a ride home BEFORE my car was dropped off and that Ward's has their own rules about towing that they clearly have not told AAA, but I was not about to hand over my car and my keys to a stranger when half the time the tow truck driver does not seem to know the garage to which I was having the car taken and I had to give directions on the way over. That offer to take me home BEFORE the garage was an afterthought by the driver; he initially insisted he had no instructions to take me home at all. Towing company insists they're in the right and basically I am somehow "...unfair..." Engine issue still wasn't immediately fixed, so I had to be towed another time several days later--by AAA this time--and SOMEHOW they managed to pick me up, take me and the car to the garage, and then take me home with a smile and a matter-of-fact "This is how we like to do things" attitude. Ask yourself why Ward's has rules that go counter to that and why they made an injured woman limp home. I would not recommend Ward's to anyone; I'm going to regularly ask AAA NOT to send them in future. read more
