I've had Japanese and Korean shaved ice before and the Taiwanese version is very different from the others. It's a little thicker and fuller so it feels more than water. But still very delicious. I have had Tropitai in person and takeout. I live roughly 30 minutes away and the way they packed the shaved ice, it was still pretty solid by the time I was home. Everything I have had from here has been delicious. My favorites are the wintermelon shaved ice and the wintermelon tea. I can't remember what fresh milk was but it was delicious. Both are very cooling and perfect after an exhausting stressful day. They're not overly sweet even with the condensed milk. Just right. I finally came in person and it's very homey and reminds me of the warmth at my grandparents with all the figurines. Service is super friendly. It's very clean and there's plenty of seating.

This place is wonderful…read more The food is great and I recommend you enjoy your own BBQ. The meats are all top quality and this may be some of the best pork belly I'v ever had. The sides are wonderful as well. The service is as good as the food. The staff is so friendly and kind here, that alone makes me want to go back - not only that but the inside feels like you're actually in South Korea. It feels very authentic and nice. The decor is great and you just feel so welcome here. We'll be back for sure.
