We were looking for a place for brunch/ lunch that didn't have a long wait or wasn't too expensive. So glad we picked this spot. It was 10:30 am and unfortunately they had a very limited breakfast menu with only 2 items that wasn't too appealing to me due to their Oktoberfest festivities. So we ordered Belgium waffles with bacon and egg to hold us down and then when it was 11am we ordered the original smash cheeseburger and fries from their lunch menu. I didn't expect much from this brewery and so glad we didn't leave when our options were so minimal. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. The waffles were crispy on the outside but fluffy inside and the 2 pieces of thick bacon were Smokey and delicious! This is almost equivalent to some places that call this style of bacon their "millionaire" bacon. But this was less expensive LOL. The smash cheeseburger was a hit! Loved the crispness of the burger with the charred carmelized onions on the softest brioche bun. This is one of the best smash burgers I've had. This seems to be a family oriented brewery as they offer events for customers to bring their kids too. It's a spacious brewery so I'm sure locals have fun there. Whatever they had planned for Oktoberfest, we could smell the Smoke from their bbq. Not sure what they were bbq'g but I'm it smelled yummy. I'll have to come back to try their tri tip sandwich next time.
This place is amazing! I was hesitant to eat here due to their huge lines outside. I didn't want to wait but it goes fast! Plus there is someone to take your drink order. I ordered their margherita pizza and the peanut butter and jelly smashburger. I liked the sourdough taste to the pizza but honestly, I would skip out on the pizza. I found their tomato sauce very sweet. However, the pb&j smashburger was amaaaaazing! So good! Seriously, the level of tastiness reminds me of the smashburgers in LA. Even the pickles that came with it were terrific and I hate pickles. The vibes are good. Super dog friendly spot. People stopped by to pet my dog and such. Great place for SB.
4.5/5 stars. Great spot for yummy beer and a smashburger What I ate - Bbq bacon smashed cheeseburger: like the best western bacon cheeseburger you've ever had. The meat was crispy and beefy, the bacon thick, the onion strings have it a little crunch, and the tangy sweet bbq sauce helping to lift everything up. I wouldn definitely get this again - Belgian style fries: each large gets 2 house made dipping sauces, so dip to your hearts content. Fries were nice and crispy - Chicken wings: These were outrageously good. Crispy, but the meat was still tender and juicy. Great to dip into sauces. We only got 6 but I feel like we should have definitely got a dozen instead - Beer flight: The bar has a handy little form you can check off 5 that tickles your fancy Pros: - The vibe was right. Long patio with lots of long tables and umbrellas, also a huge courtyard that also has plenty of shade and seating - Families and dogs galore - The menu has a nice smorgasbord of fancy bar food, ranging from wings to smash burgers to wood fired sourdough pizza, and it seems like they also do bbq, but not on the menu. Whatever was available was just written down on a piece of butcher paper and hanging outside the order window - Bathrooms clean - Staff were super quick about cleaning up as you finish - There was a server coming through the line that was waiting to order to put on drink orders, which I thought was nice BUT she somehow skipped me and I had to wait before ordering my drink Cons: - There was a wait. We got there around 6 on a Friday and there was a line that took us about 30 mins to get through to get to the cashier. But by the time we finished ordering the line had wrapped around the block so I think we came at a good time - Those fries did NOT come in large containers. To me the "large" seemed like a personal size, but that's just the gluttonous American in me. I could have easily polished off those fries by myself. I regret sharing. - I didn't realize I had to go pick up my beer flight from the bar. The cashier didn't explain it to me and I didn't go to look for it until the food came out. I wish there was a better system for this - First come first serve seating. While there was some seating, you kinda had to be a hawk about grabbing seating as it got busier Would I come again? If I was in the area, yes
Gas. Come here. Smoked BBQ Bacon Smashburger - 10/10 Delicious. $15 for a very tasty burger. The onion strings on it, the bacon, the barbecue sauce, and the patties themselves, really really good. The pickles were also DELICIOUS. Like it's rare for pickles to taste different, and these did in an amazing way. Their ranch isn't my favorite, personally. Fries - 10/10 Unfortunately have to buy them as a side to the burger (don't come with). A small was more than enough and I think they were roughly $5 or so. Tasted absolutely amazing though, they did them really well. Pepperoni pizza - 6.5/10 Solid, but probably wouldn't get it again. $22 and was an underwhelming size when I opened the box. Not much sauce, but decent bread and solid pepperoni. Forgettable though. Brown butter chocolate chip cookie - 5/10 Meh. Wouldn't get again. $4 I think? Spend roughly $50 on the 4 things, so a bit expensive, but granted I got a lot. Ambiance is so-so, but that depends on what you like. It's sit down at large benches where other parties can sit as well. There are some smaller 2 person tables and 4 person bench like tables as well. Expected for a brewery though. Nice that they had options. It's largely outdoors which is nice. I'd definitely come back here again.
I stopped by here for some dinner whilst waiting for a friend to arrive in town. I ordered a beer, chicken wings, and salad. I was given the beer right away and took a seat whilst waiting for the food. After a few short minutes, everything arrived. The wings crispy on the outside and plenty meaty on the inside. They have a drier rub as opposed to being saucy which was delicious. The salad provided a nice fresh balance to the meal. Admittedly I was previously familiar with third window brewing through their beer. Previously I tried a stout which I really enjoyed but switched it up this time with the Mexican lager. It was really good! Definitely went down easy. Overall, I had a good experience at Third Window Brewing. If you're vegetarian there won't be many options food wise but there's definitely some good beer. Would recommend :):)
Such a great brewery to hang out at in Santa Barbara. The courtyard has a ton of space, the food is delicious, and there's so many beers on tap! Pro tip - if you make a reservation, you can order food from the drink only line! That way you can skip the long food line (because it does get very long on a Saturday afternoon)
Delicious burgers and beers at Third Window! Huge fan of this spot. The environment, the food, the beer, all were perfect for what we were looking for. We came at a good time, because the line stretched out the door by the time we were leaving, so it's definitely a popular spot. For sure plan on returning!

Well I may have just found my new favorite smash burger at this lil brewery in Santa Barbara. Cooked perfectly with a little crispy skirt, deliciously cheesy, paired with the kinds of pickles that let you know this place also makes a mean BBQ. The seltzers were tangy and delicious too, floral and super refreshing
I've been wanting to try the Santa Barbara location for Third Window since I've been to the Carpinteria location a few times. The SB location is much larger with a lot more food options. They had a weekend bbq menu with pulled pork, ribs, etc. There were more burger options to choose from too. After 4pm on certain days, like the weekends, they make sourdough pizza. We were there for lunch so we didn't get chance to try the pizza, but I'd like to another time. There is a lot of outdoor seating available. You order at the front then find a table. Parking is street parking. I ordered the original smashed cheeseburger. Soft bun, flavorful meat, and some sauces to add flavor. You can't go wrong with ordering a burger here. They are delicious! The fries are also amazing. The large size is splittable between two people. I'm a huge fan of Third Window Brewing. Their food is amazing. Looking forward to coming back to try the sourdough pizza!
Really love this spot. Super cool outdoor location and great vibes. Service and food has been sort of spotty but love the overall space. Really want to try one of the days they have the bbq that I hear sells out every time. Parking is really light so you gotta be either in the neighborhood to walk in or possibly walk from a lot. An easy go to spot for the family when we're driving through as there is something for everyone.
It's super busy here on a Sunday night. We came around 5 and barely found a table. Long lines, lots of families with small children and pets. The servers & cashier were patient and didn't seem overwhelmed. The smash burger is a solid smash burger. Crispy edges, caramelized onions, melted cheese. Fries we had to pay extra for. Was still a bit hungry so we got passion fruit cheesecake. Would come again!
Can I get this brewery in my backyard? If you like light beers (or even if you don't), try the Centeotl. It's a Mexican lager brewed with blue corn and it sent my taste buds for a trip. And since it was a Saturday, we paired it with a melt in your mouth brisket sando. Fast service, solid place to hang both solo or with a group

The last time I was here (2-3years ago) they did not serve smash burgers but found out about it during the burger week only to be disappointed because they were sold out. Finally got the chance to eat my first ever smash burger and it was aaaaamazing!!! Pricey but it was sooo freaking delicious! My wife and I both each got two smash burgers, the classic and the avocado jalapeño...yes we eat a lot especially me being a fatty...with the classic I added an extra patty thinking these were going to be on the small size. The size was decent and the burger was moist. We also got tastings of the beers which I thought went well with the burger, it helped cut the heaviness later on. I may not get the avocado smash burger next time because it was a little on the saltier side for me. I definitely will be coming back again when I'm craving cheesy burgers. read more

The smash burgers are totally worth the hype! I got the spiced tomato jam one and it had the perfect balance of savory and sweet. At first glance the burger is pretty small, but the great flavors and the juicy burger make up for it. (I just wish the bun had a little more structure because by the end it was soggy.) The Belgian fries are also a must for pairing - the lemon pepper and chipotle aiolis were delicious. read more

One of my favorite places in Santa Barbara! I love a good smash burger and theirs in the best in town. You can taste that the beef is the most incredible quality and they do an excellent job at getting the crispy, charred edges just right. The soft, squishy buns are perfect and I love the zippy, mustardy special sauce. Third Window also makes amazing fries that always come hot and crispy with an array of dipping sauces (try the chipotle aioli!). I only wish they'd bring back the curry ketchup because it was addictively good. I'm not a big beer drinker but there is a great beer selection here--I prefer stout and always find a good one to try. I like that the seating is outdoors, it's a relaxed vibe to hang out and sometimes there is live music. Dog friendly too! I highly recommend coming here for a good time and the best burger in town. read more

A nice place to sit outside and enjoy a flight of beer with friends! Lots of seating! Flight of beer was $10 and you can choose 5 different ones. We tried the Third Window White, Summer Saison, Coffee McOatface, and Oko Bomb. I liked the Oko Bomb most, the chocolate flavor definitely came through. read more

Smash burgers delicious. A little small but flavor is good, $9 not bad for SB. French fries crispy and flavorful with tasty chimichurri and chpotle aioli. Best part is the atmosphere, beautiful patio, fun vibe, family friendly, nice view of the mountain. I liked the avocado jalapeño burger but has a lot of flavor. Pickles yummy. Spring roll salad was pricey and just Meh. Need to work on salads. Order at the counter and they deliver on paper plates to your table. Definitely worth a try read more

Third Window Brewing is located in a unique renovated building. Tons of outdoor seating with heaters. Although I didn't try the beer, the take out food was packaged well. We had smash burgers, fries and salad all were fresh and yummy! Additionally, the staff was friendly and answered all our questions. Highly recommend! read more

Nice place, my family and I went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. The beer was good, but not the best we have had. On the plus side the food was terrific! The burgers are better than most burger places. The only thing I felt was lacking hence the 4 starts was the service. When my husband was looking for recommendations on the beers, we were handed over the card to choose the beer from. Being that it was our first time there, we were hoping for a little more explanation on the type beer selection they have. read more
Burger: One of the best burgers I've had. Delicious. Large Fries: Good, not overly done. Beer: West Coast IPA was tasty. Great location and ambiance. It was cold out, so more heaters would of been better. Ordering was confusing. No food menu above counter and lines were confusing. Order takers could have been more inviting. read more

Highly, highly recommend! The food, beers, and ambience are all great. The only downside is that the wait for service and food can take a while because it's so busy. But, the wait is definitely worth it! Since you're waiting for a while, I recommend doubling up on the patty and get everything you want food-wise at once. If you're on the fence for ordering something, get it! And you can also grab a drink while you wait in line by going to the side bar. read more

There are parking spots available outside the brewery, but we parked down the street a bit and walked over. There is plenty of outdoor seating and patio heaters. When we first got there they were only doing beer to go until 4pm, so we left and came back later. We each got a beer flight and shared fingerlings (potatoes). The food options could have been better. We were told there's a different cook on Tuesdays, but if we came Thursday-Sunday there would have been different options like burgers and such. All of the beers we tasted were delicious and we are excited to come back on a weekend and try the other food options as well as some more tasty beer. read more

It is so hard to have fun like the good old pre-coronavirus days, but we had a lovely time here. It was a Saturday afternoon and after walking down State Street with the throngs of people barely 6 feet apart, this was a welcome relief. We got the most awesome hummus plate and a nice flight, got great service and only a small amount of people in the patio. Our favorite beers were the OKO bomb and the Walkabout. Typically there is a non alcoholic kombucha on draught. There are also sodas and sparkling water available.
My husband and I went here today around 2pm and their hours are incorrect on Yelp. Looks like they open up at 4pm? Bummer! We were craving their smash burger. And wondering if they serve the burgers every day. I would hope so!
