My husband and I have used Third Street Electric three or four different times over the last few years, the most recent being just last night to fix our perpetually tripping AC breaker. We called the owner, Sead, yesterday morning, desperate to resolve the AC breaker issue and not wanting to spend another night sleeping lightly and getting up in the middle of the night to reset the tripped AC breaker, and he made an appointment for us as soon as we got off of work yesterday. (He was actually sitting at my house waiting for me as I drove up last night!) As usual he was a true gentleman and extremely friendly as I demonstrated our current issue, which as it turned out is a recurrence of a similar breaker issue we had three years ago and Sead was able to recall it perfectly and even remembered that when he came out to fix the issue three years ago that I was in the hospital on mandatory bed rest. (He even remembered that, like him, we are fans of the German rock band Rammstein!) I was extremely impressed with his memory recall and touched at his exclamations of delight when meeting my toddler that I was on bed rest with three years ago. Like I said, he's super nice! Anyway, on the business end of things Sead is a straight shooter, he will tell you *exactly* what you need (and no more) and what it'll cost to get it done. TERRIBLE!!! Sead came out, promised to add LED lights, add new switches and to install 3 new outlets. Sead came and did not have all the parts needed so I had to go and get what he forgot to get, I had work to do but had to play errand boy for him most of the day. The lights went in "ok", some were missing the guts after he left so we had to beg him to come back to fix things. The switches were installed as well even though he made the holes too large for the beauty plate. Sead also made 8+ holes in our walls to try and get the wires down the wall, we were not expecting this nor were we told about this and when I asked who was going to pay for it he said "not me". Lots of pictures to show the damage he caused. Sead also failed to install an outside receptacle as we hired him to do and when we ask him about it a day or two later he get mad and said we never had an agreement to do that, we did, and that he would charge us $75 to do it! Sead installed the other two outlets but just left the wires in the box and not wired into anything! We have photos of that too. He said we only hired him to do a "rough in" what kind of non sense is that?! I hired an electrician, a professional, to do a complete job not half done. We have now filed a BBB complaint as well as a open complaint to the registrar of contractors and will go after his license to make sure he doesn't screw anyone else over. read more

Sead was able to come out quickly to diagnose the problem with my water heater, and ended up completely rewiring it for a reasonable price. I would use his services again. read more

This is the most despicable man I have ever met on his first or second visit to my house he suggested we go together to San Francisco and drive up the coast. Since I had already paid him half down I did not fire him at that point. His worth act ethics are just despicable. He opened every box that I had I had them do a whole house and through all the material on the floor every scrap of the cut from the electrical and did he threw it on my floor and refused to pick it up and insisted I pay my cash never never use this company read more

Sead is awesome! Our backyard lights stopped working and he came out the very next day to fix the problem. He was very professional, kind, honest, and funny. Best of all, he had the equipment working in a few minutes, provided a clear explanation of the issue, and the price was very good. We will be calling him for all of our future needs. read more

Yelp to the rescue again. My fridge and another appliance went out Saturday morning. I flipped my breaker and it didn't work. We looked up 2 electricians - the first didn't answer then we called Sead to see if he could come help us. He actually told us how we might be able to fix it over the phone and if that didn't work to call back. Turns out, that advise worked. I always always appreciate people who actually try to help, not just take my money. Saved me on my 30th birthday! Without meeting him, I'm giving him 5 stars for being an ethical person. read more

Sead came to my house on Friday, checked what needed to be done, gave an estimate, and made an appointment for Monday morning. We had a weird electrical box on our kitchen wall, that another electrician didn't know what it was, and we wanted to have it removed before beginning some remodeling. We also needed some fans to be installed. He took care of everything, and his fees per fan were lower than the previous electrician that only installed one. We are very pleased with Sead's services. read more
