I came in for a haircut and Rady recommended to do my roots. But then she toned it without asking me and then my blonde hilights turned gray and black. I was so shocked I literally cried when I got to my car. She told me she toned it because it looked brassy but she should've still asked me first. It had been many many years since I last colored my hair and decided on a whim in March to get it done because I needed a change. My cousin Thida recommended her hair girl to me and I'm so happy I took the plunge. The shop itself is a very standard Cambodian hair/nail salon - small but very clean right next to 7 eleven. Rady is very friendly and quick. You could tell how much of a pro she is with how quickly she foils and paints your hair. The majority of the time is waiting for the color to lift then wash/tone. It took about 3 hours for my hair to get done and it came out great! I was so happy with the results that I went back recently to get my hair done again. Call and make an appointment. She is in high demand so make that appointment ASAP. Let me add, you might find yourself waiting 25-30 minutes from your appointment time because as I've said, she's in high demand so she's usually working on another client when you do come in. There is another lady in there with dark hair and glasses - she's pretty much the barber and does an amazing job on men's haircuts as well. read more

She didn't wash my hair before cutting, just sprayed 4 times with a water bottle and put Thermasilk oil.

First time coming here.. but due to Covid I've had to lay back from the more expensive places and start venturing out. Called for a trim / split ends. She cut a bit more than I would have liked and didn't ask how much to cut or if it was okay. Also used a comb blade which I was not a fan of at all. (I stopped using those because they were more damaging to my hair than anything. ) She did get almost all the split ends (and healthy hair) in the cut though. I also was in and out within 7 minutes, mind you my hair is VERY thick and about low back long. It felt a bit rushed to be honest. She didn't use any water or anything to help cut but a brush and the comb blade. But It is a lesser expensive place than the ones I used to go to. Overall it was an okay experience. I just wish she would have taken her time and not cut so much from my hair. She took off a lot. About 4 inches from the front /sides & 2-3 inches from the back.... read more

So my hair dresser moved away and it left me in search of another. I've always been skeptical about people doing my hair because its bleached and not anyone knows what they're doing. I took to yelp to find my next best friend. I came across thidas because it's almost down the street from my house, I check out the reviews and decided to go for it. I was so scared though lol. I came here on a Thursday morning at 9am but the salon isn't opened. I went to run an errand and came back at 10am and it was still closed. I lvm on the number but that was it. Read the reviews and I was sold. Not sure what the name of the lady I had helping me was but I came in excited to get my hair done after a baby and a very rough couple weeks from my father passing. I needed this desperately to lift my spirits. After all was said and done, I wanted to cry in her chair. After 2 hours of excessive bleaching (which I later learned didn't need to happen for the look I wanted) I ended up with orange roots and blue/purplish highlights. Not at all what I wanted. If the look I wanted wasn't going to be possible I would have preferred to know before I wasted $100 and 3 hours slouched in a sink and a sore back. Rady was sweet enough to take over but it was too late - damage was done. She offered for me to come back to get it fixed so we will see. I just hate having to damage my hair more than I need to. Especially difficult to do this with 3 kids. I'll update when I can get this fixed. *update!!! Rady to the rescue - she fixed everything that was wrong and all I get are compliments on my hair. Rady, the co-owner from Rina's has opened her own shop here and brought along with her some of the best people. My review is based off the manicurist, Lee. She is my favorite and I am forever loyal to her. I'm glad that she is running her own show here now. Her work has always been outstanding. If you didn't know, she also does acrylics but was just never allowed to do them at Rina's. I can see why... She would have taken all the business from the owners. I like mine thin so I can still pick up coins from tables and get that satisfying feeling when I scratch an inch. You ladies know what I'm talking about, lol. She's never sacrificed quality even when it's busy. I'm sending everyone I know to her and you should too. Help support a bad ass lady. She works her ass off. What?!? $80 for a cut, color and highlight? 1982 called and want their prices back. I was DESPERATE- I am graying and too lazy to really do a lot with my hair on a daily basis. But I moved here, have no hairdresser and just let it slide. I got a trim about a month ago and it was good. Not amazing. But the gray and the nasty brassy washed out color was just too much. So I called and took a chance. They got me in on a minutes notice. I was a little nervous but it couldn't be worse than it was. I got Rady and she gave me a BEAUTIFUL haircut and color. My hair has been up in a pony tail for about 2 days. The stylist cut my hair the following way (Disclosure: I have my cosmetology license): 1. Dry (mistake #1) my hair was puffy on top, straight at the bottom. You must always wet the client's hair so you can cut it evenly. 2. Used dirty shears. She wiped hairs off it in a towel that was hanging. 3. Wiped a dirty comb and used it on me 4. No tools were in quatz disinfectant (blue liquid) Im giving 2 stars because I didn't have a wait time, they were very friendly and granted i asked for a very simple haircut. Just asked her to cut it straight. But she broke all state board rules!! read more

Now she has her own salon and I came back to her for balayage and I am sooooo happy I did! I live in Long Beach and drive to Westminester to get my haircut and color, and they do a really good job, it's worth the trip and money. Last weekend i found this place on yelp and it has really good reviews, so i thought i will give it a try. So i schedule an appt for a cut. They didn't even wash or spray my hair with water before cutting, and she was done in10min and charged $20! The hair wasn't cut evenly, didn't notice until i washed my hair that night and few strands was longer than the others so i had to cut it. Don't get yor haircut here, its not worth it. I went in with medium brown hair I clearly told her please don't damage my hair if u need to lighten it slowly it's fine I showed her what I wanted but I understood realistically it wasn't possible I I I asked her what do u think u think u can take my color to can u show me what she thinks she can manage she said I don't know !
