I don't know how he does all this and I don't even wait long to be seen if he sits down with you and goes into detail with everything. Must be his office staff that knows how to schedule appointments. Regardless, if my insurance no longer has him on my plan I will pay out of pocket just to see him. I used to think he hated me with all the tests he had ordered but now as an adult I knew it was because I was getting 5 star treatment. My son is now a 100% healthy, freshmen in high school. When I got pregnant in 2012 I actually asked him if he would make an exception and be my OB again (he couldn't but did refer me to Dr. Coe who was just as amazing). I really appreciate Dr. Danoff's thorough manner and warm personality. He really knows medicine and stays on top of current medications and available treatments. It is nice to have a doctor that truly has your personal health as his concern in addition to his welcoming staff. Not every day will you have a doctor that won't be in a rush to get you out the door, be so informative and experienced and also even hang around for a bit to talk to you about his wife, kids and travel goals. She talks to me like a peer & not "I'm the doctor-you're the patient-I'm better than you-listen to me" type of attitude. I must say, she is hilarious, so sweet, caring and a good listener. Beyond all the good in her service and customer skills, sadly her nurse "Wanda" is the most rudest, un- caring woman i've ever had to deal with to answer questions when the time came. Besides the fact she spoke over me on the phone multiples time (I am a patient let me speak) she spoke to me as If im supposed to know the answers to my questions. Truthfully I will be vulnerable and say what my question was, I asked Wanda regarding having labs done for my estrogen levels as me & my husband were trying to conceive and the way she answered me I had to take a breather and remember "she may be stressed etc" but others have ALOT happening as well and her as a nurse she should know that. She mentioned to me that in their doctor office if their patients are not "trying" for over 1 year they dont recommend anything, and if so it will be an IVF fertility clinic. I was absolutely MIND BLOWN. Coming from hospitality over 15 years i've never had this service from anyone especially at a doctors office where its women to women asking very important questions for their future or current matters. Fast forward, I had Peggy, director of nurse call me from the pembroke pines location apologizing for the experience i had with this Nancy lady (which by the way i met once in person in my annual pap and she was so jolly and laughing when she was next to the dr) but is horror when alone. Peggy, your speaking skills, and the way you soothed me is the way anyone should be spoken to as a patient and i thank you for that. I thought about switching to your location but I had not researched any of your doctors. Thank you and I wish you all the success. Fast forward, I find out im pregnant and I call to make an appt which was done and on schedule. Wks later my experiences of migraines were to a point i was unable to even open my eyes so of course i immediately call my obgyn to ask them what can i do/take and i get transferred to the in house at nurse (which also claimed to be there as long as Peggy but she was as awful as Nancy). Nicole, begins telling me to take the medication listed on the paper, and i was curious to know what paper as i had not been in office just yet for a pregnancy routine, which she would of known if she asked me my name and date of birth as they ALWAYS do. She starts yelling that she speaks to 50 women a day, as if I cared or asked her that, I am dealing with migraines that my eyes are shut and this woman speaking to me like im supposed to know what to take being so early on in my pregnancy. I truly get so upset even typing this, because this Thursday i was confirmed to go in and i did not show up. Do you think they contacted me to ask where i was? or reschedule? Trust me they didnt but they had audacity to send me an email. If your a first time mom, and want the bed side care, manners, respect and spoken to with love THIS IS NOT the place to go too. From the get-go, they don't have the technology. The sonogram/ultrasound machine in the office is…read moreancient, disgustingly dirty, and actually has packing tape to hold the monitor on. (First red flag). I picked the Weston office location for the convenience, but all you get to do there is talk to Dr. Goldberg for 5 min and then get your blood drawn for $20, which is not a normal thing, usually you visit a quest diagnostics or another lab thats covered by insurance. Ive gone to 3 different offices so far for a single sonogram that i didn't even get a printed picture from. Second Red Flag, a nurse called me but left a message for you to call her back because she or the doctor really need to speak to me, but when i call back, no one in the office is available to pick up the phone. I must have called 40+ times with no answer from anyone. They couldn't pick up the phone but they can put it in "out to lunch" mode. Third red flag and this was the last flag for me, Dr. Goldberg said to me and my husband, WITH a nurse in the room that the Flu Shot is not recommended for pregnant mothers earlier than 12 weeks. WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE INFORMATION. And now, since I trusted my doctor, I didn't get the flu shot and now I have the flu, putting me and my early pregnancy at risk. When I called back to essentially "break-up" as his patient, he doubled down and said "no vaccines are recommended for under 12 weeks." He should not be responsible for the health of you or your baby.

He was very attentive and gave me the opportunity to ask any questions I had. He was also very informative and able to relay information to my Husband to endure he too understood anything he needed to. I was a little worried during labor because he ended up having to tell the nurse that if I wasn't able to delivery in the next hour I would have to be taken in for a C-section. So I was ferried since I did not want to be cut after delivering my first two girls vaginally. Needless to say those Nurses got me motivated and loving and Dr. Duerkes delivered my 3rd Baby (first Boy). I later had to call him during postpartum recovery since I had a headache that wouldn't go away even after taking Tylenol. He told me to go to the ER and I was admitted right away because of high blood pressure. Turned out it was postpartum preeclampsia, which was very scary. However, Dr. Duerkes was there to make sure all was well and had me on magnesium for 24 hours with monitoring for another 24 hours. He let me and my Husband know that he had actually been apart of a study or postpartum preeclampsia, so I was happy to be in good hands. I had one last check up with him to make sure my pressure was no longer high and then was back to my current OB for my 6 week check up as discussed. I wish Dr. Duerkes the best!
