Saul was extremely friendly, easygoing, and knowledgeable about MM products and brand history. Crew is one of the only stores that sells cotton clothing. The style of clothing is varied so if you need casual or dress clothing you have a selection. One year on Columbus Day I caught a sale. I wanted to replace a pea coat I had previously owned. I purchased the pea style coat at J. Crew and got a great sale price. They do have great sales. Well then was then and now is now. I recently realized I have only worn it about five times over many years. Today I'm super excited to put it in the New York Cares Coat Drive. Someone will get a beautiful coat along with the branded J. Crew hanger and bag. I'm recommending J. Crew!

I bought my first big boy blazer here and I am extremely happy with it. When I am in the area I will pop in because shopping makes me happy when I am down. Jcrew offers some wonderful retail therapy to get me looking forward to a productive work week. The employees are knowledgeable of their product and recognized my coat from their fall line immediately. I have popped in here and walked out with a blazer, a shirt or two, or a pocket square and some crazy socks.on the few times I have been. Today I learned about some of their newer blazers removing the tail to give more breathing room so you do not find yourself with that sweaty lower back. My next appearance will be to buy a travel suit. It fit me almost perfectly off the rack and you can crumple it into a ball in your suitcase, pull it out, and it will be wrinkle free. Trust me I tried. Both jacket and pants come out to about $675 which is a great price for that quality of a suit if you ask me.

On a more personal note, I visited Albertine three times before deciding to feature it on The Boutique of the Week, not because I was wary of the selection, but the price is higher than my norm. However, Albertine truly is too good to pass up and is the perfect place to splurge and treat yourself to an amazing piece (or two, or three...). The jewelry is the best feature of Albertine and will have you coming back just to drool over it. The exquisitely edited collection is priced from $100 to a steep $1,000+. The beautiful vintage pieces are displayed in glass cases, but touching and dressing up is encouraged. Delicate necklaces share a wall with leather cuffs, and pendants of owls and horns share a case with a silver snake ring and jade earrings. Prices can only be found out from a large binder where handwritten notes and photos document the inventory. The womenswear boasts up-and-coming designers and custom-made pieces that are feminine and vintage-inspired ranging from $150-600+. Flowy fabrics in all colors can be found in floor-length silk gowns and highly-structured bomber jackets. The cozy store normally only has one or two sizes displayed, but the staff is happy to find you the perfect fit in the back. A Victorian couch faces a large mirror for ample viewing, and you can even sometimes find the owner's dog napping as the eclectically chic staff offers spot-on critiques and styling tips.
