Do not take your car here for service. So I had my car brought in for a battery recall on my Fusion I believe end of September 2025. Turns out Theodore Robins damaged some wires in the installation process (I DID NOT KNOW THIS AT THE TIME, NOR DID I KNOW UNTIL APRIL 2026). So I've had intermittent problems with charging my car since the recall. No big deal, we thought it was an issue with the charging system we have set up at home. The problems become more frequent until I eventually get a check engine light and suddenly my car barely charges anymore. So I contact Theodore Robins and try to schedule an appointment to have my car checked out. They say sure, but I'd have to pay out of pocket for a rental. I can't afford that. So I try contacting Norm Reeves in Cerritos and see if they have an in-house loaner they can set me up with. They do. So I go to Norm Reeves instead. No big deal. Took them (Norm Reeves) absolute ages to fix my car, mostly because they fixed the wrong thing, and when I get my car back, the check engine (as well as almost no charging) comes back on. So I contact Norm Reeves and say they didn't fix it. Takes months and they finally have another in-house loaner ready for me. Cool, so I bring it in again. This time they find the damaged wires from the 2025 recall at Theodore Robins, and they call me and tell me that they can fix it and I'd just simply get a reimbursement from Theodore Robins. (SIDE NOTE: DON'T EVER DO THIS. Shame on Norm Reeves, they know better and know that's not how it works. I unfortunately, did not know). Herein lies the problem. What I didn't know is that you need to take the car back to Theodore Robins for the repair. Keep in mind I've been dealing with this issue for half a year at this point JUST TO GET A DIAGNOSIS. And Norm Reeves tells me that I just get a reimbursement, simple. Again, they knew what they were doing when they screwed me over, but my review is for Theodore Robins right now. Norm Reeves takes photo evidence of the damaged wires, sends it to me with an invoice and says just get a reimbursement with Theodore Robins with these photos, should be a smooth process. Yeah, no. It was not. I've been talking with both Dealers for well over a month to no avail. Theodore Robins absolutely refuses any responsibility with the botched recall job. There are time stamps that show when my car was serviced. They were literally the only ones to touch that part of the car. At Theodore Robins, I've mostly interacted with one employee who is higher up. I won't name them for the sake of the review, but they have just been absolutely awful to me. Dodging emails, dodging calls, insulting my integrity, insulting my intentions, etc. Every interaction I've had with this person has been absolutely abysmal. I get that nobody wants to honor a reimbursement, but the FACT OF THE MATTER IS, Theodore Robins messed up on the recall job. And they can't even acknowledge that. They have accused me of tampering with the car, they have accused my brother of tampering with the car, they have insinuated that other people have worked on my car, etc. My brother worked at both Norm Reeves and Theodore Robins, and has since moved on to different employment, and almost every person I talked to at Theodore Robins keeps bringing my brother into this. He has not touched my car, at all. When the check engine light first came on, he used his code reader to look at it, told me it had something to do with the battery, and told me to take it to Theodore Robins. That's it. He didn't touch squat. I've told Theodore Robins this, multiple times. And have asked them to stop bringing my brother into this. They keep trying to say that my brother tampered with the car. Do not insult my integrity, do not insult my brother's integrity. And they've even tried to claim that Norm Reeves could have damaged the wires from a job they did back in 2022. Well that was a disaster. my name is Andrew, I'm a former professor at John Jay college in NYC and my Husband is currently the Professor of Art at USC. I was researching cars and found a car advertised at Theodore Robbins Ford on several Platforms. In good faith I indicated my interest. The next morning Wesley Robins contacted me. I told him I had financing already lined up with USAA and he said he would send me a QUOTE, an out the door price to give my bank. He sent me the quote and I sent the information to my bank. Later that day, I get a call from the Sales Manager, Allen, who informs me there is NO DEAL. I don't understand why FORD Dealerships always make buying a car so difficult? Failed Grade of F for Allen, and an A for Wesley. Where did Wesley go? Wesley, Acted like a professional. He got right to the point and didn't play dealership games where they act like it is the first time they ever sold a car - lol. Wesley immediately offered to send me a Quote for a sales contract with all the details so I could make a decision and give my bank the information. It's like he knows what his job was and the role he was to play and doesn't act like he just fell off a turnip truck. Allen, who I never met, was rude and insisted we start over again and insinuated that he would not honor the Contract that Wesley sent and agreed upon. Where did Wesley Go? Who is Allen? Why does Allen Not want to honor his associates proposal? I really don't need a FORD . YOUR COMPANY'S Loss. Post Script. What a rip off. Took full advantage of my 21 yo daughter who took her car to be looked at for brakes and a radiator leak. Charged her $700 and the car drives worse than before. Quotes $5000 to fix the car. I'm a doctor and my exam fee is $65. Why is it $700 to essentially examine the car? Kept the car for 3 days on top of that. I do not recommend this Ford they will waste your time! They had my van for about a week, doing a "diagnostic ". They did not do a proper diagnostic and gave me wrong information on what was wrong with my van. Very unprofessional. Not a good choice if you need real professional. Eventually after getting it back I took it to another shop and they fixed it within the same day. This Ford told me it was transmission problems which was wrong information what really was wrong with it was the electrical internal module. read more

Brought my Escape in for a clicking noise, @ 8am at the beginning of this month (May). Let's start with this: I called in at 11 am and 1 pm and was told twice they needed a full day to let the engine"cool." I drove from Jamboree in Irvine to their dealership. Not even 10 miles, but okay Doug. It took my dad calling twice just to get an answer as to any diagnosis on day 1. Eventually, Ford asked for two years of oil change records due to metal pieces being found in my engine. Mind you the car is clear for a warranty claim. I did my part and sent the 4 invoices within 24 hours. It took them TWO WEEKS just to unzip a file, and in the meantime, I had to pay $750 out of pocket for a rental while they stalled. When they finally reviewed my docs, they denied the engine replacement over technicalities like no VIN or mileage, even though my mechanic assumed the car's computer would log that. They ignored common sense and claimed I "failed to maintain" the vehicle. Doug in service was flat-out rude and condescending, saying "maybe if your mechanic did his job, you wouldn't be in this position" with zero empathy. It took everything in me to not see red at this point. How dare you Doug. But then again, you're just a middle man. I should expect that type of service right? Liz Farr, his boss, listened, provided empathy, offered to remove him, but nothing truly changed. In the end, they gave me a short-term loaner, then demanded I pick up my car unrepaired on 5/21/25. As a 5th-gen Ford owner, I'm done. My loyalty was repaid with incompetence, red tape, and disrespect. Never again. Seriously... shame on you Doug and shame on you Ford. read more

I brought my 2013 Edge Limited to replace a cracked transmission mount that another Ford dealership (Huntington Beach Ford) said was required. I did not let HB Ford make the repair because I found out they were charging me 2.5x cost on the parts based on prices from parts.ford.com. HB Ford quoted me $730 total for the repair. The biggest surprise, however, that made me furious but grateful was the assessment call from James that the mechanic found nothing wrong with my transmission mounts. Jeff WAS our adviser till we found out he was price gouging our trucks, terrible workmanship and just not honest or friendly! We have a fleet account with a very high Ford QFC credit, which I believe is a set 10 or 15% markup also with many perks that accumulate when using Ford Fleet! As a loyal customer, we thought we were being taken care of and actuality was quite the opposite!! 30% to 60% markup regardless if the trucks were registered with Fleet or not. No information regarding the ford rewards, more times than not the reason we take any of the trucks in was not resolved!
