We came across David's home theater business during our search through google. David responded very promptly to our request for an estimate. We already had some idea about his work and packages thru his website. He gave us different pricing options according to our budget. We had estimates from few other companies but none could beat his price. David kept in touch regularly and even alerted us for any kind of sale on the equipment included in our estimate. Finally, when we were ready to get the project done, we got in touch with him and went over all the details. He drove 45 mts one way to meet us whenever it was needed. Our home theater project was more than just installing the equipment. We had to build walls to enclose the room and it was a bit tricky. He introduced us to the person, who was best suited to do this job and who regularly did this kind of projects. We are very glad that we went with David and Bill and our project was finished exactly as planned. The team went above and beyond to accomodate all of our needs in a very professional way. We got a lot more bang for the buck with David and ended up upgrading our in- wall speakers, projector to 3D and got star ceiling installed as well. He even recommended the carpet stores in town for the best quality and price. The room looks marvelous and our kids enjoy everyday. Movie nights are really fun now !!!!! We were moving here from Houston, and needed a complete set-up for our new media room. I read the reviews, called, and found out that the owner, David, was the person who handled and drove his business (as opposed to some "trained" tech or salesman). He was able to meet us at our new home when we were in town one weekend prior to our move since we lived out of town. He looked at the room, gave us some recommendations, and basically said he could build a great system with virtually any budget we could swing. We emailed and texted back and forth, and we after a few days, gave him our budget. He built a fantastic system for our family. Our budget did not allow us to go into the high end of equipment, but David built us a system that is perfect, with excellent quality that meets our viewing and listening wants and needs. He had it expertly wired for the TV provider to tap into (the technician was very pleasantly surprised), had the system perfectly programmed for the room, talked with the TV installer to make sure the settings were correct, and followed up with a quick, easy tutorial for us (which literally took 2 minutes). I could not have asked for a better experience. David was personable; didn't try to "sell" me anything, but gave options to consider so he could build us the perfect theater. I would highly recommend Theater Advice. With everything that we had going on with a major move, our experience with David was the most stress-free aspect or our move! I searched the metroplex and contacted 4 different home theater installation companies before choosing Theater Advice. David beat everyone else's prices and had my installation scheduled and completed in less than 10 days. I also had a ton of questions just from being a naturally inquisitive and technical person and David answered every single one of them even if it was after business hours. Since installation he has even made 2 additional trips to my home to add additional equipment I requested to make sure I was taken care of. This is despite it being a 90 minute trip for him one way to get to my home. David even suggested and recommended equipment that cost less than what I thought I needed. I don't know of any other company that would offer to make less money in the best interest of their customer. I have already recommended David and Theater Advice to a family member as well after my family was blown away by my new home theater setup. My wife and children love our new theater and the only downside is that they are now using it more than I get to - LOL. I've never written a Yelp review before but was compelled to do so after dealing with Theater Advice. David is a pro's pro. I have a hard time believing that there are people out there who know more about setting up electronics and putting together an entire media room experience. David took time to understand my needs and customized everything to suit them, all while being aware of my budget. Despite my room not being as expansive or expensive as many of his jobs, I never felt like a second-class project. David made me feel as though my room was his primary concern. What they do at Theater advice is an art. David came out to survey my room and drew up a media room plan to suit my specific space. He gave me options and took the time to explain his vision in terms an electronics novice like myself could easily understand. He and his assistant were also enjoyable to have around during installation. While they were in my house constructing my media room, it felt like they were old friends. David is a true expert on audio and video. When I first contacted him about upgrading two speakers, he responded right away and came to my home to look at my equipment. David suggested some changes he felt would enhance my system and he gave me a complete explanation on each change. I agreed with his recommendations and we ordered the equipment. David came out and installed everything in a very professional manner. I was so pleased with the recommendations and work that David performed, I asked him for some more recommendations. I ended up purchasing two new front channel speakers, a new amp, a new subwoofer, a new audio-video processor, a new plasma tv, a new DVD player and all new HDMI and cable connections. "Wow" is the best way to start this review. I had a media room built when I bought my home 8 years ago and was really looking to upgrade. I called David and we exchanged a series of text messages, emails and a few phone calls. Four days later, I have a brand new media room. Dave was very professional and knowledgeable about all things related to audio and video electronics. I told him what my budget was and he worked within that and there were no high pressure sales. Dave and his crew worked flawlessly and professionally to upgrade my media room that exceeded my expectations. He even attempted to paint my ceiling after relocating my projector mount and this was after he vacuumed the floor when the work was done. We had a vision for our media room that Theatre Advice and David Huse brought to reality! His pricing was competitive with the larger companies with store-fronts, and he gave us the personal attention that we were looking for. David was always punctual and responsive. In addition, David was very receptive to our ideas and input. Overall, we are very happy with the room buildout and the audio/video equipment that he recommended and installed in July 2013. However, our relationship didn't end there. Upon request, he has come by (promptly and without complaint) once or twice each year since the installation, including in January 2017, to correct or reprogram some of the equipment, mostly the remote control, due homeowner errors! Top Notch in every way! David makes sure he understands exactly what you're looking for and is really good at working with your budget. He and his team are perfectionists. Every TV hung was done perfectly, whenever a small issue came up he personally came out to fix it. Per his recommendation I went with a 120" Screen Innovations Black Diamond screen and a JVC projector and an Anthem audio system. The picture and sound quality rival that of the best theaters and every single person that comes to see it is amazed how great it looks and sounds. Theater Advice really knows what they re doing, if you re in the market for a home theater I'd really give them a chance so you can compare. Very satisfied with my recent purchase of a home automation Control4 EA3 unit from David and his team at Theater Advice. Communication has been excellent and owner David was prompt for both my initial courtesy bid and my installation. In addition to the EA3 Controller, I also utilized Theater Advice to help hook up my a/v controls and to upgrade wiring for my primary 5.1 Sound system. David also worked with me to integrate some of my older a/v components and was able to trouble shoot some challenging hookups to avoid me having to upgrade my older components all at once. David's work is first-rate. He did all the rewiring from scratch and all the equipment were impeccably installed and the clean-up afterwards was immaculately done. All in one day! One thing that marks him out is that he'll go out of his way to actually satisfy you at his expense. He forgot I had provided a blue-ray player for him to use and installed the one he'd brought along. He essentially said, it was on him and let me have the second player at no cost to me!
