Z is a great old club absolutely I have a great time every time I go. The place is cavernous with 3 floors. Has everything you could want a steamroom, sauna, glory hole room, dark room with sling, video room, and game/snack room,. The personal rooms run the gamut from fully equipped large rooms, smaller rooms both have porn playing on the monitors, to smaller rooms sans the monitor, to single use lockers. My favorite things about the club is the hand painted murals from the 70's, the grand stairs, the gloryhole room, and best part a very diverse clientele all ages and body types are represented. Its been around forever has a slightly worn look but the place is clean and well cared for. So grab your gym bag of goodies and go there. H a ve some fun and meet some great guys. Prices are good with a variety of prices to fit most everyone. So no matter your looks, body type or age you won't feel intimidated. It's just floor after floor of nothing. It's very dark doesn't smell good I recommend you wear shoes everywhere you go because yeah it's just not probably as clean as one would expect it to be. The crowd is very creepy. Not a nice place to go. There are better ones out there. read more

As the saying goes, "You make your own luck." I have been in places like CLub Z all over the country. The guys who show and expect every other man to meet their expectations will leave disappointed, like all the "one star" ratings have proven to me. They go looking for a spiritual, erotic and sexually fulfilling experience that reminds them of their lost youth and leave disappointed every time because they didn't walk up and say, "hi My name is Bob, what are you looking for?" HI have been to CLub Z more than once and always with my testicles emptied at least twice. Love that they have water unlike Steamworks in Seattle. So I decided to come on a Saturday night. There were two people leaving as I was walking in, and I believe two more inside. NOT including the troll working the check in. Apparently, unless you are already in their system (which I know I've been to this place before, before I found out steam works was much better) they aren't letting you in. Claimed to be due to only alllowing 25 in at a time, which was WAY less their number, and they want to know the people already. Asked him if I could fill out a memebership, he said that it's a few pages and I'd have to sign a waiver.. First off, sir, I'm walking into a gay bathhouse at my own free will, now if that's not some sort of verbal waiver to not hold the club liable for any diseases spread, then I don't know what is. You're worried about covid when you are operating a sex club. No wonder that troll is covering the front counter. In the end, he said he would have to pass on allowing me a membership (btw isn't this part of the area that was over taken by CHAZ/CHOP?) because it's apparent that this club DIDNT get the memo, and are still discriminating simply on looks.. so chances are if you're better looking than the troll up front, you aren't getting in either. Visited Club Z a few weeks back. Mixed results. Not much of a crowd, and lacked hot tub which would be nicer. The element of sleazy is always appealing, and the place was huge, plenty of room to roam around with many rooms. Would have been more exciting with more people. read more

Delightfully seedy but clean, it could have more creative play spaces, but the sauna and steam make up for that lack. The clientele skews older, but the real trolls are the younger guys who act like anyone who doesn't live up to their standards of youth and beauty should be treated with derision. At 53, I don't look like I did when I first went to a bathhouse some 25 years ago, but I look decent for my age. When I was younger, I didn't want to hook up with guys in their 50s, but I always hated the guys who treated them poorly. Well guess what - those guys are now "ugly old trolls." Payback's a b*tch, fellas! But, if you're so superior that you're afraid you'll throw up at the sight of one of us "fuglies," go to SteamWorks; it skews younger. I've been going to Club Z for over 30 years and I can tell you it's changed. I love going there to relax and get away from home. I like bringing my lights and laptop. The lights seem to attract attention and in a good way. Patrons comment how cool and in my room with my laptop showing better movies and videos and sometimes I pull the trash can in my room so I can set my laptop on while running a hdmi cord from the laptop to the tv. I was warned not to bring the trash can into my room. Really thought they weren't serious but they were and got banned. I eventually was let back in. Got sick one night there and felt I was going to vomit so I brought the trash can into my room. Left to get into a bathroom still sick then all of a sudden the announcer says something about the trash can. The one time I pulled the can into my room to avoid a mess not for the laptop. I tried explaining this to Carlos the owner and he thinks I'm lying. I'm 50 years old. Why would I make this shit up? Thought he would be understanding cause he knows I'm a good man and spend a lot of money there. The patrons know me and believe me with my lights I'm memorable and also I give great business. Alot would know I'm there because my lights. Never a confrontation but can't stand when guys peek around my door or open my door more to see who's inside. They say nothing and walks away. Who does that? I catch myself doing that so I go back and say that was rude of me not to say hi hello and get this they say hi back to me and conversation happens. I end up making new friends and new acquaintances. Wow! I'm hanging out with someone now whom I met at the Z and now we're good friends. read more

My husband always laughs when I use the word "quirky" to describe a place or a person because others might substitute "weird" or "repulsive." I like Club Z because it's got that old school bath house feel to it. Yes, the patrons are sketchy (quirky?) but this place knows what it is and why people go there. Wow, I can't believe I'm writing a review about a Seattle Bathhouse. Thank you Yelp! I use the term "bathhouse" loosely. There are no baths and this is certainly not a real house. Definitely don't take your shoes off people! I've worked at Club Z several times doing HIV Prevention Outreach and I must say Z is not anything like the sex clubs you watch on Queer as Folk or any gay programming on Logo. The entrance is dark and the "check in" counter is fully equipped with towels, room keys and a friendly and somewhat creepy Inn keeper. The majority of the guys I would see were "mature", on the larger side and some looked scared (with wedding ring tan) But there is an internet cafe! The place has three floors of rooms, slings and a large X for what I believe is used for public lashings. The confessional style glory holes reminded me of the good ole catholic school days and as I held onto my rosary and free condom packets I could barely hear my heart beating over the extremely loud house music. Not my scene but I must say my curiosity was been cured. Worst part about the experience: we had a golden rule that patrons must engage us first in conversation. How awkward was it when I would run into people I knew and couldn't even say hi to acknowledge the obivous tension. Condom, sir? read more

I love Club Z. The staff are great, especially if they have an opportunity to memorize your face. When I go to Club Z, no matter what night it is, I feel like I'm going to a social club. You get to know both the staff and the patrons there on a personal level. There are some sketchy people that frequent here, but that is the same with most any bath house on some level late at night. They really make an effort to make you feel comfortable (if you are respectful and mindful of the rules) and the people I've met here - say what you will - are among some of the more interesting I've met in Seattle. They come from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all ethnicities. Most of them are good people, regardless of the stereotype. It's true, it needs some cleaning here and there, and the music isn't the best (especially if you're a regular, you hear it all the time), but it is a safe and fun place to go after the bars close if you're not quite ready to go home. Some of these haters with especially negative reviews posted here on Yelp are just seething with bitterness and I sincerely doubt that came from their experience at Club Z. One of them in particular sounds as if he went to Club Z expecting the Day Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel... or the gay equivalent of it, anyway. These guys are looking for a negative experience to reinforce and justify their negative attitude, is my guess. Most people, however, are looking for something better. The positive experience most guys are looking to find when they go to Club Z--or any bathhouse, for that matter--is found in the interaction with other guests of the establishment, not what kind of the amenities they're provided by the staff. What the average patron of Club Z has on his mind is not how spacious the sauna room is (as one unhappy reviewer complained, but sounds like he may have "size issues" anyway). (In all fairness the sauna room is cozy, but it's certainly "big enough". Besides, the steam room next to the dry sauna is very spacious and with the steam at full density you really can't tell who you're bumping into in there.) Most people are not resting the success of their visit solely on how solid or "flimsy" the walls may or may not be, (as the same unhappy reviewer complained.) With that said, keep in mind that the "positive experience" you may find there may not be the kind of "positive experience" you were originally intending to find--which is why the club is in no short supply of complimentary condoms! Yipee! I love condoms! (Not really.) Club Z provides everything you could possibly need for a good time: a plush towel (for quick removal). (I mean removal from your waist, not from the property.) Again, they have condoms (for removal)(j/k), a key to your room or locker, a TV remote (if applicable), plenty of porn, and friendly staff members who treat their well-behaving patrons with kindness and professionalism! What the club cannot provide you with, however, is a positive attitude. People with bad attitudes already set in place before they arrive anywhere have no business writing reviews because it's really not fair to the business they are trying to discredit. Then again, most people can spot a bitter pill a mile away and--as I said--realize their anger is most likely from something entirely different their chosen target--(in this case, Club Z). Unimpressed. The steam sauna was down for repairs. The dry sauna is tiny. The largest area on the first floor is dominated by a rec room which would not be out of place in a Boys & Girls Club, were it not for the massive, tacky nude oil paintings. The second and third floors are a maze of flimsy doors and numerous, foul-smelling bathrooms. The only thing I enjoyed about my visit was the dark maze room on the third floor. Tried using my ATM card the next day, and Chase, my bank, has flagged it for fraudulent use. Apparently somebody at the club likes to try and steal credit card info. If I could give many negative stars I would. At first I seemed alright. We went to the lockers and got into a towel, rinsed in the showers and hopped in the steam room and sauna to relax. Only a very few people were okay and had a normal conversation with them. Went upstairs to check things out and everywhere we went everyone would follow us like they were expecting something. One guy seemed like he was nice at first and telling us about people there have respect and so on. Saying that if you don't like that people are trying to join in and you say no then they will respect that, WRONG. That guy was scheming something from the beginning. We couldn't get a room because it was so packed, so we tried doing some stuff in the dark room. We were alone at one point which was nice. One guy was laying on a swing which we didn't mind him, till some people noticed us doing stuff that everyone was trying to join in and that was a total turn off and I had to tell them no and what not. I was getting pissed. I mean watching is okay but trying to get on it is not okay or tricking people so they can have their way fuck that. We are NEVER going to a gay bath house EVER! If you like being ganged on by a lot of unrespected older men than be my guest. There are only like a select few that have respect. By the way if you look young and are Asian, watch your back. They will follow everywhere you go like sex predators. Also try to trick you and show respect at first and in the end try to get you to do things they want and try to join in and have no respect at all. My bf and I had the worst experience there. I was ready to knock out some bitches. I guess if your horny and just want some random sex or head or get ganged on by some older mature men then this is right for you. I went to check out club Z tonight (Friday) there were literally like six people in the entire club, but I like to steam and enjoy the sauna so I stayed a bit. The man who checked me in sold me the highest price membership/locker and said i could leave and come back twice in 12 hours, it was my first time there so I thought that was cool. I steamed a bit, there were some weird people with their clothes on inside the dry sauna, but other than being empty and full of just old men I enjoyed my steam, I decided to take advantage of the reentry and took a shower and went next door to Starbucks for an icecream then decided to go back into club Z. A very rude man at the counter made me wait five minutes while he counted money in his drawer and then asked what I needed I told him I wanted to go back into the club, he said I couldn't because I checked out and didn't say I was coming back, which was not true because I asked the guy when I left what I needed to come back in. I felt completely scammed and would recommend staying away from these a-holes. They do not deserve the business. read more

I've been to the Z club on three seperate occassions. I always said I would be back but it took some time to get back around to it. It was always clean and condoms available everywhere, no lube-had to buy! I prefered the tv room but if one was not available to smaller rooms were ok. I walked around with a town but loved the GH part. On the last visit they had painted and did some remodling so the GH sextion was even better. Some area have dim light and few places are darker which led to some mystic of who was going to play around. I passed several rooms with doors proped open and anyone could go into the room and have his way with him. Others met and went to their private rooms and made it more personal, condoms always encouraged. If you forgot something go to the 1st floor and you will find it in a machine. I popped at the glholes several times and spent time in the room but always left drained and smiling. Not bad for the price. read more
