Vegan platter! Only around £9! Delicious
    Nicole P.

Great spot for vegan eats! I tried the vegan platter and was in love with it. Nine pounds for a huge plate, and all of the flavors were on point. Really enjoyed the friendly staff and was so happy to find such a cool place that carries an eclectic mix of food!

This is the sort of bar I LOVE. The Woodworkers has a relaxed atmosphere, not at all pretentious - just easy going. Add pleasant staff, nice wines/beers, amazing cocktails and scrumptious food to the mix and you've got the perfect spot. I called in this evening with a crowd of friends after an exceptionally stressful week and it was just what the Doctor ordered. Sure, I was with some great company but The Woodworkers bar itself just made me HAPPY. We started the evening off with some of the best cocktails I've had in ages. Mine was a Cosmopolitan, which was delicious. However, I sampled my friend's Bramble and Red N Bonny cocktails and they were heavenly - I'm definitely working my way through the drinks menu on my next visit. After lusting over the extensive food menu we ordered a medley of mains and my halloumi salad with a side of chips was exceptional. I was delighted to see a range of veggie options on the menu including nachos, burgers, pies and salads. I simply cannot fault this place in any way. Even the decor is great - exposed brickwork, metallic tiled ceiling (sounds weird but it works!), wooden tables, comfy seating. It's my new favourite bar - I will return - frequently.

Amazing atmosphere, nice food and wonderful craft beers! This new bar is easily gonna be a new favourite for me and for all craft beer lovers out there! I have no knowledge when it comes to beers, craft or not, so I went with a friend that knows a thing or two (much more to be honest!) about it and I had a great time! The place itself is very simple and with a nice decor! A few tables, not that many and long benches so you can sit down and enjoy your beer! When it comes to beers, as I said, I'm clueless but I went with a friend (and now fellow yelper) that was happy to choose some nice craft beers to try and I must say that I quiet enjoyed it! For what I understood they have a few options on draught and then they will change it every few weeks so you can keep trying new ones! It's a quiet pub, compared to the other ones in the area, that is focused on selling good craft beers and also good for a few pints and chat with friends. So far, one of my favourite pubs in Belfast!

Visited here for first time last night...it kept popping up on my timeline as a popular place so I thought it was about time I gave it a go! The place itself is pretty cool, high ceilings, low lighting, candles in brick wall alcoves...all very cool & trendy, even down to the menus being on clipboards and the beer menu being a pegboard on the wall...all cool! Even getting to play retro games like connect four whilst we waited...all good craic! The staff were lovely, letting us sample some of the beer before I ordered a 4-board, so we also also ordered cocktails and some food Ok, so reading some reviews I'd noticed that food wasn't to be their strong point...so I wasn't expecting to be blown away or anything We ordered a selection of starters and a few sides...it was ok...just ok My calamari was rubbery, the onion rings were soggy and cool on inside and everything could've done with being hotter, in fact the only hot thing was the portion of chips The cocktails on the other hand were delicious! I would go back just for them! In fact that's the plan...go back for drinks, and avoid the food

I've been to Woodworkers twice now. The first time I went we had to wait almost an hour for our food however the cocktails, music and atmosphere was so good we didn't mind waiting. The second time I went the cocktails were horrible (I ordered a bramble and it tasted like diluted juice with no water) and my nachos were burnt! I'm not fully put off Woodworkers - it is a nice bar and I would maybe go back to give it another chance and update my review then!

Nice place. Was there on a Saturday night. Decent crowd. But not to tag point you can't move. On the younger side. Music was talkable over. Then there was a DJ. Good music. Stayed on the ground floor just. Staff are nice and you get served quickly. Drinks are average price. There's also board games you can play.

I just love this place! As a Yorkshire lass I grew up drinking ale (after the age of 18 obviously) so this is home from home to me. It's part of the laverys complex so connects to their pool room and roof terrace but apart from that you would never know. The decor is what you would expect from an ale bar and the rotating taps ensure there's always something new to try! The pints are a little on the more expensive side but it's well worth it, and they come in proper pint pots!! You can also get a sampler board of you don't want to commit to full pints however the staff are very knowledgable and let you have a little 'try before you buy' to make sure you're getting something you like. The food here is great and really reasonable, it's the ideal spot to meet up with friends on a Saturday afternoon for a catch up an grub, there's even a selection of board games for you get stuck into!

What an awesome addition to the Belfast bar scene. The Woodworkers has the whole package, the staff are helpful and friendly, the drinks menu is very extensive (Including a great selection of craft beers) and the whole design and feel of the place is relaxing and chilled. This is definitely my kind of bar, somewhere you can go and relax for a wee pint or kick back with friends and make a night of it. I've sampled the food and it was delicious and they have a big selection of board games as well. I love the fact that bars are starting to do this, its a great way to spend the night with friends, getting drunk and playing table top games and watching as one or the other slowly starts cheating. Cause lets face it Alcohol = competitiveness :-) Anyway I digress, big ups to this one. Great bar, great selection, great food and great atmosphere. Just what Belfast needed this end of the town.

I had heard really good things about The Woodworkers and was dying to get in for a pint. My wish came true yesterday after a day in Belfast's Queens Quarter and I wasn't disappointed. Woodworkers have transformed the space that was formerly Lavery's Off License - anyone familiar with what it used to look like while be shocked by the change. To be perfectly honest I would never have imagined that they would have been able to do so much with so little space. As others have mentioned, Woodworkers main offering is Craft Beer but they also have an extensive cocktail menu and a sufficient food menu. After being in America for 3 weeks I was sick of strong IPA's so I went for the Ripcord red ale - It was velvety and smooth and went down all too easy for a Wednesday afternoon. I highly recommend this pint served in a tankard (Jack Duckworth style - manly). Whilst drinking your pint you can entertain yourself with old school board games - we played Kerplunk - you know the one with the sticks and marbles? We got so in to playing board games we barely noticed the time - my focus was on making sure I kept all the marbles in the plastic prism, not on my belly. When we did eventually look at our watches we realised it was time for some grub. We decided on ordering from snacks from the menu and went for the plain nachos and the Buffalo and salted Chili Wings. To be honest I think their food needs a little work - the wings lacked any real flavour and the nachos were slightly over cooked - but you can let them off as they are so new and their expertise lie in different areas. Overall The Woodworkers is a great post work pub - plenty of drinks choices especially if you're a beer fan and plenty to keep you entertained. Keep an eye on your watch though, it's one of those places where time just drifts away!

Loved this bar, high ceiling and towering stairway as you walk in. Not sure how far back this bar goes as we sat at the front in a cosy wee three man booth. The big board above you tells you which beers are on at the minute and can be included in your choices for a flight. The barman was very helpful suggesting his favs and telling us the virtues of the others. A real nice touch that he writes the names on it with chalk so you can see immediately what you are drinking. They also do large juggs of your favourite beer for you to take to your table. Really calm atmosphere and load back staff with out seeming like they don't care. Recommended for something different on a sat(or any day for that matter) afternoon.

Great bar with amazing decor - does a large food menu the same as Laverys next door, got a really nice vibe about it

I've only been here once, but the atmosphere on a Saturday is surprisingly chilled and the selection of craft beers is top notch. The wooden tables are a bit rough and ready, but they do what they do very well!

Great bar with a lovely, relaxed vibe. Serves delicious food and has a large menu which includes lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Desserts and cocktails are delicious and wine is reasonably priced. The staff are very nice and helpful too. Would recommend.

The door tax plus the clientele do not make this the sort of place that will appeal to everyone but its proximity to the student area known as the Holylands make this an obvious choice for many students and drinkers alike. Offers do apply to Scratch, with £2 a bottle of beer and £4 for double vodka and Red Bull. Doors open at 9pm. The food downstairs is actually very nice, with burgers being my personal choice.
