Windjammer Lounge is nothing fancy, but it does what it sets out to do well - a terrific dive bar with cheap drinks and quick eats! Speaking of drinks, it was happy hour, so I enjoyed a top shelf vodka drink for only $4! It was the same price for pints of beer! There was a large afterwork crowd when I was there... and only one bartender... but she was able to keep up with demand and kept the drinks flowing! Inside it was pretty spacious and they could have fit a few more tables, but I imagine in the evenings it allows for more people to stand and walk around. This is a great place to grab drinks with friends after work. You'll have options to enjoy sitting outside or inside depending on the weather. The cost of the drinks are reasonable. I had a Rachel sandwich and they were great about swapping out the pastrami of a Ruben for the turkey. read more

Very chill bar with lots of tvs. The Sunday specials when I was there yesterday: $3 cheesburger/fry basket; $1 domestic drafts; and $3 Bloody Marys. My Bloody Mary was possibly the best I've had in town. Garnishes were AWESOME and included olive, tomato, bacon, pepperoncini, jalapeno, pickle, celery - almost a salad. LOL On football Sundays, they also have free chili or wings. Seems from posters on the walls that they also have live bands almost every weekend. Super nice bartender too! My son was playing in a basketball tournament nearby and this place popped up as a good place to get something to eat...I would disagree. Seemed like it would probably be a fun place to drink, especially in the summer, but the food and service left a lot to be desired!!! read more

We ordered an appetizer basket, with that basket we got mini corn dogs, pretzel bites, chicken strips, and chill cheese fries. When we got the basket the mini corn dogs were replaced to tacos, the chill cheese fries had barely any cheese or chill on it, the pretzel didn't come with cheese( gave it to us later but it was horrendous) the chicken strips were terribly cooked. Nachos came cold, with huge chicken pieces and barley any cheese. Bad customer service. No masks or gloves were worn. No CDC guidelines were followed. Wont be coming back. Waiter was okay. read more

Let's start with this is a review, exclusive to Wednesday nights. We play trivia and have for about 9 months and go every week. 4 stars is based on the service...we have had great service and the bartenders are lovely. I am not a drinker, but folks in my party are, and our server, Nikki, has learned their drinks and is mindful to watch our table. As far as food goes, I have had the burger and it's solid. They do a decent job of offering things OTHER than bar food (salads, etc.) which is nice.., They have a fish fry special on Wednesday that my husband really enjoys. The Windjammer is a fun spot in town to play slot machines. Though it is certainly a "townie" bar, there is a nice mix of ages to make it enjoyable for everyone. Prices are pretty average and they have a decent variety of food and drinks. They typically charge a $5 cover on Saturday's and have some type of entertainment. I typically enjoy the bands they have playing, but not sure what was going on last Saturday. They had some type of DJ set up playing ungodly loud music. It seemed to be some sort of techno mix but it was terrible. I hope they are never hired to play again. read more

One of the best NASCAR bars I Have Seen With Cheap Beer And Eats. Nothing too special here and the place serves can local crowd willing to creep and turn street able to find this location. Bar rescue? This place could use some serious updating and the bathrooms are a smelly mess. I have been here a number of times but have always stayed outside for volleyball. Draft beers have an off taste so I am not sure if the taps or cooling have an issue. Another time I wish I had read reviews before trying something out. In the endless quest to find the ultimate bar and hang out, we accidentally stumbled upon the Windjammer during our Sunday search. I say accident, because I am not sure you could find the bar with its less than prime location behind some other businesses on a side street parallel to Veteran's Parkway. Keeping with its nautical namesake, the Windjammer is a sinking ship. It reeked of smoke and stale beer, and the bathrooms look like something you'd have seen on the Mayflower or during a cruise around the Cape with Magellan. I won't comment on the food or beer because the service was so terrible I left without ordering. Its really hard to give a place that specializes in the service industry a favorable review if they don't even do their basic task. This place will not get a second chance. read more

Great atmosphere to enjoy a great burger with a cold beer in a frosted mug or pint. The service is friendly and prompt in an atmosphere that in reminessant a some nautical themed bars that I frequented in the 1980's. The short order cook does a fabulous job at lunch and the place is alway filled over the lunch hour with a hungry crowd that is always promptly served. read more

The burgers were very good. The atmosphere is laid back. My only complaint is the smell. Or should I say "smells"? There was a competition between the strong cigarette smell and the air freshener they use to try and cover it up. Smoking is out back. But there must be a draft that pulls it in. Very strong. And the fake scent layered on top didn't help. At times, the freshener was worse than the smoke. read more

HORRIBLE! The smell you get right when you walk in is like something I have never smelled in my life, disgusting. We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes while the bartender and waitress (who I believe was drunk) stood there talking. Finally, the bartender took our order, she then continued to talk to the waitress and other customers (who I believe were friends of hers, not real customers) After another 5 minutes we finally got our drinks. The draft beer had a horrible taste (when was the last time they cleaned the lines!?) and the cocktail was WAY too strong, which explains why everyone in here was acting like a drunk idiot. We left before even finishing our drinks, it seemed like they could care less about serving new customers, they only care about the "regulars". All in all, I would give this place 0 starts if I could. I would not even reccommend this place to my worst enemy. The owner and all employees should be embarassed to be assoicated with such a horrible establishment. I see other reviews says they have cheap drinks but clearly they have to just to get some business. DO NOT waste your time or money, you will leave smelling of whatever that smell is mixed with cigarettes. YUCK! read more
