The cinnamon roll and cinnamon coffee cake are the gold standard by which I will judge all others by in the future. Absolutely amazing!

Parking is limited, but there is a Park & Ride just up the way and a short walk to the lounge. Walk through the main doors of The Wild Mermaid and back to the Seagull lounge. You will find a large wrap around bar that seats around 12. Spirits (limited, but good), wine (3-4 varieties) and beer (6 draft), again, good selection. Service has been amazing each visit. Our first visit (my wife and I), we arrived a bit early hoping to grab a drink before catching the ferry. They weren't quite open in the back, but the bartender offered to pour a beer or wIne since we made the trip in. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the view and watched the the ferries dock. It was a GREAT 1st impression and that's what keeps us coming back. Saturday evenings (around 7) were bustling with what to seem are locals. Again, welcoming and service top notch! We haven't eaten here, so I cannot speak for the food, but people all around us were eating and ordering more. Again, if you have some time before catching the ferry, or just decide to walk on just to visit this place...(remember, check the hours) its worth it. We will be coming back to this little gem over and over.

It had been a few years since we visited THS and we heard that they redid the interior and possibly…read morechanged management, so we decided to give it another chance. The cocktails all seem to be named after nautical terms, likely a nod to their island locale. I got the Buoy, which was a tequila-based cocktail with blackberry, Campari, and rosemary. It was quite refreshing. We split the smoked salmon chips and dip, because we both love smoked salmon and Old Bay. This was tasty, but I think a cream cheese dip requires a chip that's sturdier than a potato chip. I ordered the seared ahi and my spouse ordered the burger. We both enjoyed the seared ahi, though I wish it had more of the whipped tahini and harissa. We agreed that the burger was solid, but not the best restaurant burger we've had. We finished with the key lime pie and pot de crème. Recommend both (though maybe avoid the pot de crème if you don't like coffee)!

Every dish was spot-on, fresh, and full of flavor. Rosie was our server and she was awesome--super friendly and on top of everything. Even got to say hi to the chef, which was a nice touch. If you haven't been in a while, go now. We'll definitely be back soon. 5 stars!

We were staying in Vashon and came in here for breakfast. This place was busy on a Sunday morning…read morewith just two women running the front area. Our waitress was really nice but she was running around non-stop doing everything. We had to flag her down a few times. The dishes had good portions. I ordered the classic egg plate and the sausage patties were a bit too salty. My friend ordered the pancake plate and they loved it. Said it was really fluffy and delicious. Another friend ordered their omelet and that was huge too. He also enjoyed his meal.

Dang. I wanted to like this Sports Bar…read more Meh food. Service was friendly, but a bit off their game. The vodka soda drink I ordered took SO long we figured our server didn't turn in the order bec my partner's drink was served quickly. When we saw the bartender make a drink for themself, REALLY!?! we assumed my order hadn't been turned in, so we ordered one from the bartender. In the end I got a duplicate order. (But were only charged for one. Fair.) We asked for the French burger to be cooked as rare as possible. I joked I liked it to "moooo". It was served medium well. Zero pink. ZERO PINK! All gray. Yuck! Fish and chips were served piping hot, but nothing special. Drive thru window food. My skinny fries were not piping hot so I didn't care for them. The interior was so chilly that the few patrons there left their coats on the entire time. My partner never took off his parka the entire meal. We mentioned the very chilly air to our server upon our arrival, and she said they just bumped up the thermostat before we walked in. They must have a very slow HVAC. The overhead bright LED lights did nothing to create a cozy ambiance. Quite the opposite in fact. I was dear friends w a restaurant owner for many years, and he taught me to check out the restrooms of any new eating establishment first. (Restaurant Owners will often keep the customers restrooms cleaner than the kitchen.). The bathrooms here seemed pretty clean, but my quick peek into the kitchen as I was walking by was appalling, ...grungy doesn't begin to explain what my casual glance saw. A stiff scrub brush and bleach would transform the kitchen. I wasn't snooping, I literally walked past what anyone could see on their way from the restrooms. Lest I forget to mention that the menu I saw online included Reuben sandwiches, ...YUM, and Montecristo sandwiches WHAT MY PARTNER WAS JONESING FOR... and fried chicken.. OUR FAVORITE. Sadly we did not realize until we got there that only the skimpy bar menu is offered at 6 o'clock on a Sunday. So pretty much everything on the menu was "fast food". Frozen food then Deep fried. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT I wanted to like this place, but, alas, I will not be going back. Ever.
