In need of coffee my friend and I ended up here. What a cute little spot right off the road as you exit the ferry. So many delicous treats to choose from! Everything looked to die for. I could not see a menu anywhere officially, but, no need as this coffee shop is tiny. The pastries were clearly visible in the case. It was hard to choose. Unfortunately, I orderded a cake that tasted really dry and was honestly a bit underwhelmed with its flavor. But, it was covered in a decadent whip cream drizzled with chocolate, and combined with the vanilla latte it was sufficient for a morning treat. My friend had a blueberry danish that was definitely much tastier. My friend gave me a taste so I can attest to it tasting better. And the gentleman working there offerred her a dallop of lemon curd on top to top off the sweet treat. I saw other items I wish I had ordered instead of the cake. Like donuts, a cinnamon roll the size of my face, an apple fritter (I think), danishes of various flavors too. The cold case also had beers to choose from sold in single serve cans. Water and soda were choices too. Overall excellent service and great vibes here at this cozy coffee shop. Quirky and local ambiance make it a no brained and must stop. Happy yelping. read more

The Wild Mermaid near the ferry dock has great pastry. One particularly good one is what I think they call the vanilla doughnut. The first time I had one I couldnt believe how good it was. I'm ambivalent about doughnuts, but once in a while one comes along that is so good I wait for the store to open on Fridays to get some. They take 3 days to make, no idea why, and they make enough for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It sounds like they are a big deal on Vashon Island and often there are none left by Sunday morning if that's the soonest I can get there. Bite into one and you see layers inside that must mean something about their quality of the procedure to make them. Also, have a cinnamon pastry if you want to leave the doughnuts for me. read more

Do not shop here! The ferry was delayed for 30 minutes so some family members in our car quickly went to the nearest store since everyone was hungry. They grabbed some Arizona tea marked .$99 cents and were charged $5.00 per can! As visitors from Michigan enjoying our Seattle family, this was the only bad spot in our day on Vashon. Sad when you give your business such a bad name by overcharging such a ridiculous price! read more

I'm super apprehensive about writing a review for this place because it's literally my favorite place on the island. It's also the only waterfront place on the island...you'd think that with 57 miles of coast line we'd have another waterfront place, but no, it's all rich people's 2nd and third homes. The hours are silly limited (they close at 3pm currently and aren't even open a lot of days currently) and the parking situation is interesting. BUT the limited food they have is flippin' amazing, everyone working here is super great, and the view is absolutely unrivaled. I'm here at least twice a week. They're owned by the same folks who own Snapdragon/Home Sweet Home so the same vegetarian stuff only slightly more limited. REALLY looking forward to when they have later hours and cocktails. I'll be here a lot. read more

The cinnamon roll and cinnamon coffee cake are the gold standard by which I will judge all others by in the future. Absolutely amazing!

Not sure why there's no updated reviews. Drove all the way out here after searching the internet and seeing pictures of people sitting in a cozy space with a view of the water having coffee. Brought my family. No parking except for two spots. Went in, and it was a claustrophobic grocery mart? I was so confused! Apparently they had to go only and one table outside to sit at. Great little place you can walk to from the ferry. Phenomenal selection of wines and the food is amazing. The service is excellent.

Open for business even at night with a fantastic bar menu and delicious food.(we had eaten already but ordered a trio platter which we devoured) It is by far the most beautiful spot on the island, trust me. Great prices, dependable staff, and what a view! PS. The Cuban dude who used to work at The Brewery is now working there and he knows how to cook, believe me. Ordered 6 items to go, as there is a line for the boat. Individual boxes were given and they were annoyed with me for ordering those items. Also ordered a vinilla latte, they didn't add any syrup. When I asked them to add such I was asked to open the syrup container before they poured it. Coffee is garbage, service was not their and the vegan food is sloppy at best.
