    This place is just down the street from my work, so I love coming here for a quick mani, color change, or eyebrow wax. I love how clean it is and that you can make an appointment online! I don't have a favorite technician, and just see whoever is available...but always had a great experience and they all did a good job on my nails. This salon started charging for old color removal though a few years ago, which is a bummer. I think it should be included, especially for returning customers and that's why I took off 1 star.

    Great appointment with Aidee. I had shellac and was going back to dip. My nails are weak from all the filing- She did NOT try to file the gel off- YAY Aidee! She took her time and I didn't feel rushed AND I wasn't worried about her filing my already weak nails. She only works on Sunday's but this place opens at 10 which is great for me. I will be back!

    I'm literally speechless. I stopped by as a walk-in at 5:30pm for a new set of acrylic nails and listed everything I needed (nail length trim, sharper coffin, different shade of nude, and nail art). i wanted a completely new set of nails since i didn't like the color i had from a different nail salon i had visited. when i told them that, they insisted i just get a refill with the new color because removing the previous nails would take 30 minutes (which i was fine with but im assuming they really wanted to finish by 7pm closing time). im understanding and i agree since they said it would be blended and not noticeable. the first man did a great job at buffing and refilling the outgrown section, but he didn't trim the length as i had mentioned from the beginning and the blending of different colors was done poorly so you could definitely tell it was two shades. then a different woman takes his spot to take care of the glitter/rhinestone design i wanted. i show her the picture and immediately starts painting my nails in a rush. i make comments to adjust the design and she complies. however, when i'm drying my nails under the blue light, my nails get smudged with the paper and gets a piece stuck on them. i let her know and she says "it's fine" and simply picks off the piece of paper (obviously leaving residue and smudges) and continues to paint. so i'm thinking girl what are you doing?? i'm literally paying for this! i'm already over this lady and just want her to get it over with but i let her know the previous man didn't trim them and she ignores me. so i'm sitting there trying to convince myself the length is fine so i don't piss myself off further. once she finishes painting, i ask her to square off the tips a bit more since they were still a bit round for what i asked and she also ignores that. (i'm starting to feel like those annoying customers but i REALLY didn't want to leave another nail salon not liking my nails for the next 2-3 weeks). she also ignores that request and starts cleaning up. i'm confused still sitting there expecting someone else to add the rhinestones i had requested when she prompts me to go pay. once i ask her about the stones, another woman starts getting the tools to apply them. she's extremely jittery while reviewing the example picture and applying different sizes to figure out which would match best. i don't blame her since it's 6:30 and i get wanting to go home and relax, but at the same time i'm thinking girl it's okay you'll go home soon enough. none of the rhinestones match what i wanted so we decide not to add them. she asks if this is the length i usually get them and i say no but they didn't trim them when refilled earlier (continues to not trim either lol). afterwards, i mention i wanted the nails to be more square and she starts filing away. i'm finally happy that at least that request was fulfilled but honestly i just wanted to get out. i felt bad bc i think she was the manager had a feeling i was unsatisfied but there was no initiative to make up for it. i only stopped at this place instead of polished nail lounge across the highway because they didn't have walk-ins available anymore but i've learned my lesson to just wait and make an appointment the next day. overall i just felt extremely undervalued, dismissed, and rushed the whole experience. i hope the next customer has better luck.

    I'm not one to get my nails done on a regular basis, however there are times when I do want to get them done for special occasions to feel more put together and have a boost of confidence. I'm very disappointed in my recent experience, I don't feel that my nails look good. The filing is very unsymmetrical. The base is thick and after a few days already with nail growth looks terrible with the width difference. The other issue is that I feel the nail technician very aggressively filed my skin and still after several days I'm still experiencing pain and my skin is starting to get hard and crusty. Lastly, I had a lot of built of residue under my nails from all the drilling and filing down. The nail technician did not remove. I had to keep trying to remove myself and after multiple attempts the nails technician finally assisted to help remove. I'm on vacation but I will be getting these removed immediately when returning home because they make me so self conscious. I would not recommend services here.

    If I could give this place no stars, I would! My child made an appointment on Sunday! She didn't know the skill level of the techs, so quite naturally they placed her with the next available one! She came home with the most hideous nails! When they finished with her nails, it was 4pm! The time the salon closes! She asked multiple times for several corrections! And they did some of them! But the end result is still unacceptable! I went Monday to have it corrected and they were closed! So this evening when my daughter got home, we stopped in! And Deja was very confrontational, argumentative and basically accused my daughter of not booking with the appropriate tech! It's her 1st time, how is she supposed to know? She said she can come and read the license that's posted of each tech! This is a 18 year old! She doesn't know what that means! She stated that they're an equal opportunity employer and they have all different skill sets! I'm not sure what that means! I asked for clarification and she stated that they're an equal opportunity employer again! But if that's the case, why not place my child with the appropriate tech that can deliver the request? A picture was shown! The tech could have stated that they're not comfortable with this style or whatever the case may be! My daughter asked for a more natural color? And this was what they put on her! She then stated that she wants to correct it! No, please refund her money! If you couldn't deliver the 1st time, why would she sit another 3 hours? The gel is peeling off after 2 days! The nail isn't smooth is very bumpy! The acrylic is poorly laid! She also said that we shouldn't return to her establishment! I agreed that this would be her 1st and last time coming! She then said next time book a more experienced tech when we make an appointment! Overall a poor establishment with poor customer service and poor quality of work! She agreed to refund her money! Let see how long it takes for the refund to be completed!

    I wanted to like this, but my dip mani was so bad. I won't put the tech on blast because she was so nice, and I think the salon has a great staff and is super clean, but the quality of my recent visit was pretty embarrassing, and I won't be going back.

    I've been a customer for about 1 year; my nail artist is Nelly she's so amazing, professional and always delivers fabulous nail designs; her pedicures are to die for!

    The service is five stars, but the finished product is only three stars. Service is this most important thing to me, so I was really torn about writing this review. The people working here are incredibly nice, and I've never had a problem getting in for an appointment. The nail trimming, cuticle care and callus removal are all done very well. But when I walk out my nails are not evenly filed and there is paint on my skin. I don't like pictures of toes, but I felt it was only fair for people to be able to judge for themselves.

    Found the BEST brow gal in San Antonio, and it only took me 3 years to find her!! Thi is amazing and truly talented!! She really is a master at her craft and I can really appreciate the fact she doesn't rush though the appt. Ladies you won't me disappointed

    This is my second time coming to The White Orchid and I was very impressed once again! Last time Helen gave me a regular polish manicure that lasted 2 weeks without chipping! Both times I got a deluxe pedicure and this time I got a dip manicure which Rose did an excellent job! Plus the online booking is so convenient. Love this salon!

This was a routine appointment--my usual services with the addition of a simple eyebrow cleanup. What I walked away with was not only physical damage but an experience so shockingly unprofessional that it has permanently soured my trust in this brand. The so-called "wax specialist" managed to get wax stuck in my hair and proceeded to over-wax one of my eyebrows to the point of it being practically bald. This was the complete opposite of what I clearly requested: a basic, minimal clean-up to maintain my natural shape. The difference between my two brows is glaring--something no competent technician should ever allow to happen. When I expressed my horror and asked to speak to the manager, Victoria Willis, a multi-unit manager, I was flat-out refused. Let me repeat that: A manager refused to speak to a customer who had just received visible, damaging, and unacceptable service at the hands of her staff. I've worked in the corporate world both as an employee and a customer, and never in my life have I witnessed such blatant disregard for customer care or accountability. In what world does a manager hide from a legitimate complaint involving botched services and physical injury? The sheer lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic human decency is appalling. To make matters worse, I had redness, irritation, and inflammation along my brow line and scalp from the wax--documented in the photos attached. No one in leadership offered an apology, or any form of resolution. I was only offered hair growth product AFTER I burst out in tears over this horrific experience and my close to bald brow. In the end, I was dismissed like my experience didn't matter. This location is an embarrassment to the EWC brand. If Victoria Willis is the standard for leadership, it reflects a toxic culture of negligence and cowardice. To the corporate office: Do better. And to other customers--go elsewhere unless you want your appearance and dignity left in shambles.

I have been going for about 2 years. She tried to say you can have negative skin reactions from Chemo and Radiation. I interpreted her and advised it's none of her business but with the Cancer I have NEVER had chemo or radiation. Then she was very defensive and said again, I am trying to get the bottom of this but I don't see on your file that we have ever waxed your face, just your brows. I have never had my brows waxed by them. I get my brows threaded. We argued and DENISE HUNG UP ON ME. I sent her a text the next day since she had texted me asking for clarity if they will not wax someone who has Cancer? I told her I wanted closure on the conversation since she hung up on me. She never responded. 1. Extremely unprofessional. 2. Unable to keep staff 3. Unable to train staff properly This is not my problem. The waxologist did not wax my face properly. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that this establishment does not use hard wax for Brazilians. I have extremely sensitive skin with areas of thinning that repeated passes/rips with soft wax causes tearing and is extremely painful/uncomfortable following the treatment. This is not the fault of my amazing waxologist - it's a poor business model by the company. If they would use hard wax for Brazilians/customer preference, I would give it 5 stars.

Given the price point, I would definitely do it a several times a year or when my face is looking very dull with blemishes. Also, would book a jet pee facial before any events.
