I told the owner (I believe his name was Steve) this and apologized for the inconvenience, but he immediately got defensive telling me I was only the 4th girl in his 16 years of experience to say that and finished the conversation saying "Just go to Palm Beach." It felt very unprofessional to take it so personally when I tried to make it clear it was just my own personal preference. You don't need to make someone feel bad for being uncomfortable standing naked for 30 minutes alone with a man she's never met, regardless of it being your job or not. You don't know anyone's history or why they have those preferences, there's probably a valid reason for it that has nothing to do with you.

5 Stars - Kayla is a Rockstar!…read more I was in San Antonio for work and stopped by the Vineyard location, only to find out my Palm Beach Tan membership hadn't transferred over--again. I travel often and this kind of hiccup happens more than it should. My membership had technically been canceled for next month, yet somehow it was already deactivated. I had even tanned just last week in Austin, so I was frustrated and fully expected to be turned away like I have been in the past. But Kayla completely changed that experience. The moment I walked in, she complimented me--something small, but it made my whole day after a long 9-6. She didn't just shrug off the issue; she took the time to call two Austin locations to figure it out and still let me tan. That's never happened before. I've had plenty of run-ins like this, and no one's ever been this helpful or kind. Kayla was professional, friendly, and genuinely wanted to help. Thanks to her, I got to tan before a big training week, and now I feel confident walking in on day one. I'm seriously so grateful. Kayla is amazing at her job, and Palm Beach Tan is lucky to have her!
