5 Stars - Kayla is a Rockstar! I was in San Antonio for work and stopped by the Vineyard location, only to find out my Palm Beach Tan membership hadn't transferred over--again. I travel often and this kind of hiccup happens more than it should. My membership had technically been canceled for next month, yet somehow it was already deactivated. I had even tanned just last week in Austin, so I was frustrated and fully expected to be turned away like I have been in the past. But Kayla completely changed that experience. The moment I walked in, she complimented me--something small, but it made my whole day after a long 9-6. She didn't just shrug off the issue; she took the time to call two Austin locations to figure it out and still let me tan. That's never happened before. I've had plenty of run-ins like this, and no one's ever been this helpful or kind. Kayla was professional, friendly, and genuinely wanted to help. Thanks to her, I got to tan before a big training week, and now I feel confident walking in on day one. I'm seriously so grateful. Overall an amazing salon but this is my favorite location by far. It's extremely clean and the staff is always super friendly, however LEAH is an absolute doll. My husband passed away and I was not able to be in town to freeze my membership. The front desk clerk, Kylie, was cold to my 63 year old mother when she tried to do it on my behalf. After I heard how she was treated, I called to freeze my account and to speak to a manager but Kylie was appalling rude and dismissive. There are exceptions, such a death, that should warrant a freeze. I shouldn't have to physically be there when I'm planning my dead husband's memorial. Kylie should NOT work in a customer service industry. I asked to speak to a manager and she bluntly stated "it's the weekend". I asked for a number and she repeated "it's the weekend". I've never been treated so poorly at palm beach and I've been a member since I was 18 years old so almost half of my life. Really disheartened and disappointed in the treatment that Kylie gave to my mom and myself. read more

The blonde young girl (didn't get a name) was not helpful. Got flustered easy, but at first she did start off nice but just couldn't keep up with the questions, not hard questions, she kept looking towards my husband though, she helped another customer, and I whispered to my husband why does she keep looking at you when there are no words coming out of your mouth? She should probably get more training, and maybe in a couple of months she would be great? Anyway I got a membership somewhere else and I'm happy and tanned!!!!!! I have officially become a member here simply because their customer service is on point. I have bought spray tan packages since April and have always appreciated the girls help. When I first started I was confused and every time they answered me and helped me step by step and they're just genuinely nice about everything. To be honest, sometimes girls can be nasty to other girls and it's so nice to find a place where they're all awesome and helpful. Recently I'd used my last spray tan in a package I bought, one of the girls just casually told me that I was over paying and that I should look into their packages. She briefly walked me through the different deals they have, without being overbearing or making me feel like i was getting scammed or sold on something I didn't need. She explained their freeze policy and laid it out in a way that was easy to understand and helped me get the best deal. I truly appreciate a place like this, customer service is important and I've always had a good experience. Plus the spray tan quality has always been excellent. read more

My favorite Palm Beach Tan in San Antonio! Alice is the BEST! I began tanning about a year ago and had so many questions to start. Alice took her time with me and didn't rush or push me into anything. It was because of her 5-star customer service that I began tanning and stuck with it! The lobby and individual tanning rooms are always spotless, reassuring me that the staff is invested in the over all well being of the business. I highly recommend this PBT location! read more

Palm Beach Tan has locations throughout the US and each that I have used has been consistent in quality of products and beds. I have used this location most recently for the Spray Tan but do recall their beds being clean and super new with effective bulbs, cold air conditioning and extras like facial tanners and radio station choices. They often have deals on the Spray Tan option so be sure to ask. I took advantage of a 2 for $25 deal that is nearly unheard of. The spray tan booth is usually ready to go and stocked with everything one would need - hairnet, lotion, goggles - all the good stuff. If the room does need attention before I can use it, the gals always get it cleaned up quickly. Parking here can be a bit of a hassle depending on when you arrive, for instance, if it is a busy HH time there will be many StoneWerks patrons eyeing spots as well. read more

As a witness to the situation with the belligerent customer, Laura W. She acted completely out of line and had zero respect for rules that were clearly visible to anyone walking in the store. It was clearly obvious she could not handle being told something she didn't want to hear. As a continued customer, both the manager and assistant manager are extremely personable and exemplify professional standards. I will continue my business with PBT and will defend an establishment from immature adults who try to bad mouth and complain about company policies. This chain is way overpriced for sunless compared to other salons and constantly over the past two years, I've suffered hiccups, mistakes, lack of training in staff regarding the conditions of different tanning plans. If I have other options, I'll use them. read more

This is absolutely almost criminal, I complained about their bad service and in return they canceled my membership and are keeping my money and trying to still charge my credit card. Their misters in the beds do not work and the manager does not care because women wear makeup do not like it. So you can microwave for 8 minutes. Have bought over rated, non performing products, they do not care. Bought one product the pump did not work, their answer is you have used it to bad. They do not tell you about any promotions that would save you money, ONE BAD DEAL, Run from these people, they are quick to grab your money $95.00 a month and give back nothing. read more

I've been a member here for years and love the spray tan machines. I usually don't have any issues with the ladies but, recently I went in on a Wednesday night. I got there at 10:30pm. I don't get off work till 7 and by the time I'm done at the gym and showering unfortunately that's the only time I can make it. They close at 11:00 so getting there 30 min before they close doesn't seem to be out of the question well.. the girl was clearly unhappy about me coming in especially when I told her I was there to spray tan. She said "you're lucky you showed up when you did, I was about to close the machines" Im lucky?? That's your job and I pay to come here. She was snotty and rude. I was not happy. I will be e-mailing corporate about her and giving them her name. read more

Children haters... sign basically says so. My kids were kicked out of the establishment and told to sit in the car. Why you ask.... because I have more than one kid. Even though both kids are of age according to their sign they said it was their policy (couldn't provide where that is written) and for their "safety." Ya... they said "safety." Apparently your children are better off waiting for you in the car than in the lobby where you can hear them for your 5 minute spray tan. Again my kids were of age but they insisted it's their policy that if you have more than one kid, they must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older. You also get told all this by a snarky 20 something that has no idea how hard it is to have children and coordinate getting what I thought would be an easy treat for myself. I left, called her a name which I stand by and will never do business with them again. One day this establishment will realize how nasty their assistant manager is and wake up when she pisses off another mother. Keep telling moms to put their kids in the car and see how that works out for you. read more

Need more staff - waited 20 minutes just to get on bed / because only one girl working and she was so worried about trying to close a new customer she screwed existing customers by making them stand around - further she then put the new customer ahead of me in the bed i was waiting for . When I came out from tanning she was still helping the same dam lady. I guess being a platinum member really doesn't allow me any priveleges - you should always take care of existing customers! read more

this store is seriously the bomb! everyone here is so kind. i was actually here when the person "joan" who left the review was here (it's a gentlemen). this person physically broke the equipment and i could hear him punching the bed from inside my tanning room. i was scared for the employees and for myself. he was yelling and threatening the girls at the front counter calling them "pieces of shit." he threatened them and told them he would be writing all these reviews until they give him exactly what he wanted. aside from people like this who are unruly and ill mannered, the salon itself is a dream. the employees are so kind and friendly. the salon is always very clean. i have been a happy customer here for many, many years. they have amazing equipment. the manager has been here 5 years, the assistant has been here i think maybe 3. it is a great place to unwind and relax. love love love palm beach tan. i cannot say enough about how much i love being here. really sorry the girls have to deal with people like this. read more

I had an issue with a different store in a different city and will need to cancel my membership. The woman that I spoke with over the phone - I don't remember her name - Anna, I think??? was SO nice and helpful. She contacted customer service for me. Customer service contacted ME about the issue. Poor customer service at the other location - more than amazing customer service at this location. Also, Aubrie is amazing, too. The girls here are overwhelmingly nice and friendly. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted and treated like a friend. I know working at a tanning salon you are required to meet sales but they do not push lotion or upgrades on you like a lot of other places do. They have awesome rewards (free spray tan within the first 30 days) and you build more rewards the longer you are a member. The tax you pay monthly towards your membership is also credited back to your account so you can use it towards lotions. Those are only a few of the rewards and incentives to joining. They have a fantastic selection of beds and everything is extremely clean. The atmosphere is a huge decipher on where I tan and this one gets 5 stars! read more

Very poor service. I have a membership but will be canceling as soon as it's up. There are two older ladies like in their 40s that are clearly over tanned by the wrinkles on their skin who are total air heads when it comes to assisting the customer in a timely manner. I went there a few days ago and was told someone was in the bed I normally use. I sit down to wait and within 10 minutes three people walk out. I asked the employee if my bed was ready. She said yes but she needed to clean it. Instead of doing it herself, she tells her co worker to take care of it and leaves for the day. At this point three more people show up to tan and instead of telling them to wait, and take care of my bed she checks them in and starts upselling products! All the while my husband is waiting in the car with groceries. This is absolute inexcusable bad customer service! I complained to her and told her that it was unacceptable to allow others to cut in line and she said "Oh I'm sorry I forgot you were waiting." What an airhead! Clearly this is why minimum wage exists. I refuse to even go to this location now, as it's not the first time they have ignored customers. Palm Beach consider yourself fired! My business will be going to Tanfastic. Better prices and far better service! read more
