This Inn is going to change your life…read more Months ago, all I wanted to do is book a cozy, romantic, farm B&B on our first-time New England escape. (which the Inn certainly delivered) But now...I can't stop thinking about the powerful reality of farm-to-table living and Jackie's insistence that we finally pick up and read The Omnivore's Dilemma on the nightstand in every guest room. The many awards and accolades this place continuously receives year after year speaks for itself. Let me tell you about our experience: We booked the Mustard Room and since Jackie had other rooms available, she upgraded us to stay in the Rose Room. Bonus. The bed was fit for a king and after a long drive we snoozed until the wee hours enjoying pure luxury. If only we could have spent more time exploring the rooms which were decorated with rich detail. Have fun playing board games in the front room or pick up a cozy book in the library room. The bathroom feels like a spa and the sunroom is where you need to spend your time. Better yet...get outside and explore the grounds! Learn how to build your own compost, collect eggs, pick vegetables, play with the animals and so much more. Lola just comes out and gives lots of love :) The 3-course candlelight breakfast was delicious! On how many occasions have you enjoyed a beautiful flower with your meal as you chat with the cook about how many more blooms you should eat for a balanced meal? My first popover was steamy and tasty. Too bad I filled up on the complimentary cookies in the pantry that I couldn't eat more. But you know what? These cookies were the number one recipe in town. No, really. They won the local contest for best cookie. I think I ate like 10 cookies in one hour. You have to stock up on the town's NUMBER ONE cookie!! No shame! But the food really is incredible. All straight from the farm. All organic, all sustainable. The partnership with local farms and shops is inspiring. Jackie gave us great tips on things to do in town and the best way to enjoy hot cocoa at Burdick's. (half and half). Probably the best tips she gave us were life-changing and inspiring for our future farm to table efforts. One day, Jackie! One day! You really need to stay here and taken an apprenticeship on sustainable farming. I still find myself wondering how much Coco and Lola have grown (friendliest goats in the world). But Matt and his family are unprofessional…read more Firstly, and most importantly, Matt is terrible at communication which makes it extremely frustrating and stressful to plan a wedding. He is impossible to get a hold of to answer questions (after you put your deposit down). He is a big talker when you first meet him but he is just a used car salesman who treats you like he has no time for you the minute he gets your deposit. Secondly, the night of the wedding, his two boys were running around my wedding eating my dessert table. And this was early in the night too, (not leftovers). Matt was also drunk by the end of the night. It was basically a big party for them. Another thing, which is least important, he did not set up the tent and furniture until the morning of my wedding. So I could not see where he was putting things to change them. He also said he was going to put stuff out and then didn't. You can pay extra to use his furniture collection but he doesn't pay attention to what you want from it. It's honestly junk too. Lastly, there is only a porta-potty. There are no actual bathrooms for your guests. If you look at the Venue in the winter he will hide that fact so just be careful because renting bathrooms is expensive.

They also allow food trucks! And they have fun furniture you can rent! We had originally planned our wedding at a Massachusetts venue, but due to Covid it was safest to move to NH, so we brought all our original vendors with us! Matt is best reached by phone and text, and will always call back if in the middle of something. He has been in the business quite some time so he will always give you his honest opinion (In a good way)! His wife was super helpful as well, and went out to get myself and my wedding party waters while we were waiting for the guest to arrive and the big day to officially start! The view of this venue is perfect!! Especially in the fall! There are so many places for photo opportunities as well! My (now)husband wanted trees on the poles in the tent and honestly it's worth paying the extra penny, because it really made the reception tent look so much more than just a tent. Curtis farm provided the bar services and as long as you get open bar, they will not run out, if they do they will go get more! One thing I recommend more people do, is use the venue for rehearsal dinner, it was nice to sit in the tent and enjoy the view before the big day when everything goes by so fast.
