Very Disappointed - Will Not Return…read more I recently visited the Big Boy in Charlotte, MI and had a very unpleasant experience. The restaurant was extremely messy, and the salad bar was dirty and did not look safe to eat from. There appeared to be a lot of cross-contamination between the food items, which is a serious health concern. I also ordered the broccoli soup, but it was spoiled and completely inedible. When I mentioned this to the cashier, she didn't apologize or even offer to take it off the bill, which I found very unprofessional. On top of that, I ordered four adult meals but wanted an item from the kids' menu (Bosco sticks). A different waitress came back to tell me I couldn't order a kids' meal because I didn't have a child with me. Then she said the manager would "allow" me to have the $6.99 kids' meal for $8.99 just because I didn't have kids with me. That made absolutely no sense and felt like I was being taken advantage of. Overall, the restaurant was not clean, the food quality was poor, and the customer service was lacking. If the dining area looks this bad, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. I will not be returning.

When we picked up our order we asked for some Parmesan cheese packets and they gladly filled two plastic containers for us and also made sure we had to go silverware. I took a quick peek at the restaurant and it has a very cozy welcoming atmosphere! Definitely going to add this little pizza joint to our list of places to stop when passing through Charlotte. Sorry no pictures we were hungry and on the road!

I made sure to leave two stars because all the food was correct and on time - but when I got there, it was busy. That is fine except the woman working complained loudly about me and how the reason she was so behind was because of my large catering order. She continued to complain while I stood there. I finally said I am the one picking up the order, and she had two workers who were not clocked in walk my order to the car. Also, a bunch of bottles soda was thrown into a bag, and I could barely carry it. The handle broke off. I hope the tip was shared to those workers who aren't even clocked in. I'm glad they helped me. They were very friendly.
