I ordered a Fruit Tart ($6) , an Oreo Creme Brownie ($5), and a Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($2). The Fruit Tart was my least favorite of the items I got it was ok I'd have preferred an Egg Tart, but that wasn't an option. The brownie was excellent. Very decedent and was great with some Ice Cream at home. The Cookie was an excellent cookie and a good choice. All of the items were a little pricey, but not extraordinarily so. The service was good, friendly and efficient. Overall a solid 4 star review for the bakery. Would I return? If I was in the area then Absolutely. Considering I found Charlotte to be a very charming and beautiful town, I'm sure I will be back.

I turned around to face a self-serve bbq sauce bar featuring 1oz containers to fill with your choice of 5 different *homemade* sauces and three or four from sweet baby ray. I left the grocery-store stuff for the next guy and filled up on the unique ones. The jambalaya was nice spice level and flavorful with a fair amount of meat. The pork sandwich was good, except for the lump of crispy fat which was DELICIOUS!! I think I've had better collards, though these were alright. I ate my meal in their track-side picnic table pavilion. A freight went by and was quite loud. So, it was authentic whistlepig ambience. I'd do it again. Next time I'll try the brisket, coleslaw, and hopefully some smoked chicken. And I'll get the dessert. Maybe if I get back there in summer they'll have the peach crisp!! The people working there are quite nice. There are a variety of fresh brewed coffees. I asked for the dark roast, which was actually a very tasty medium-bodied coffee.
