The staff greeted me as soon as I came in. The store had all kinds of cute handmade vierge and home goods. I got a cute sticker for my water bottle and a greeting card. They have a lot of Ojai themed goods as well for gifts and keepsakes, at fair prices for the area.

The shop is open and masks + distancing is required. This is on the main drag in town but a little off the beaten path, so we drove. There are a few parking spots around back and a restroom on the side of the building. We arrived right at opening time and were the only people there aside from the gentleman working at the shop. Summer Camp is small-ish with a framing studio on one side and the shop on the other. The shop side is curated with really lovely plants, pots, crystals, candles, cards, some clothes, and gift-y things. I picked up a card and some palo santo, but honestly could've purchased way more (I had to use some self control). Wasn't here for any framing needs, but worth noting that they have a Yelp check in offer for 15% off custom framing!

Last but not least, the pricing was extremely fair and the employee wrapped everything so carefully for us. Wish we were local to Ojai, because we'd be here every week! Ojai Ave. It's the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming--you're always greeted with a smile, and even if you don't find something that day, the browsing itself feels like a small joy. That said, I always seem to find something! I still wear a cozy sweater I picked up there last year, and on my last visit, I found a pair of earrings that I absolutely love. The prices are reasonable and the items are in great condition. Since they're a consignment shop, they do accept items for resale--you get a percentage back when your item sells. If you're thinking about bringing something in, it's best to call ahead to check their process and which days they're accepting items. One more reason to love The Lennon Closet? Shoppers BEWARE…read more Yesterday I purchased what I believed was a genuine black leather purse from this shop (along with other items). The purse was tagged and sold as leather for $300+. When I got home, I discovered it's actually vegan leather. Even worse, after wearing it briefly, I developed an allergic reaction around my neck. My skin is very sensitive to synthetic materials. I called the store the following day and they admitted the bag was vegan leather--but refused to offer a refund or any solution, citing a "final sale on accessories" policy. This is misleading marketing and false advertising. Charging leather prices for non-leather goods, then hiding behind a final-sale policy, is unacceptable. Do not shop here or if you do please double-check everything before you buy. I would not trust their labeling or policies again.
