I was really skeptical when I was reading reviews. My experience was great though. I didn't wait long. Amanda asked me how I liked my brows. she did a great job cleaning them up and reshaping them. We moved onto the Brazilian and she did a great job with that too. She waxed is small, short strips so not as painful. She kept me talking and distracted me. I will be back. I would highly recommend asking for Amanda she's really experienced and provides a great experience! She's off Tuesdays though ;) read more

Very happy with the service @ the Wax Strip. The staff is kind and helpful. Very satisfied with their work.

I walked in an hour before they close and got turned away, saying they aren't taking any more people because of the long wait time. I hate to leave negative reviews, but if I drive almost 30 minutes to get there, where walk-ins are welcome and no appointment needed, then I should be able to trust that I can have a service done (a 5 minute eyebrow wax) during their hours of operation. I can understand if it was right before closing time but this was not the case. I think it's fair to expect that if I show up during their posted hours that I can get service. I am not one to complain about the waiting, as that is expected in a place where walk-ins are welcome; however if you say you are open then there is no reason I should be turned away. I refuse to go to a place where I can't trust that I can even be seen until I get there. I can just as easily go to my nail salon to get what I needed, and from now on that is exactly what I will do. At least then I know I won't be going somewhere for nothing. read more

I loved my results, until I didn't. I didn't see anyone perform basic hand hygiene, which concerned me. And rightfully so because I developed irritation the next day, which ultimately led to a horrible infection. I called to get after care advice before the infection set in, and followed it to a T. Still didn't prevent the inevitable. So best advice, ask them to wash their hands before touching you. read more

Aubrey did my full face, excellent job! Took her time and was very professional and friendly.

I've been coming here for years because their staff is friendly and they do a good job. The only thing i don't like is that there prices increased last summer AND they took away student discounts (10%) which always saved me a couple of bucks. Another thing i don't like is that you cannot make an appointment so you could potentially have to wait for up to 45 minutes just to get your eyebrows waxed, especially if you go on a Friday afternoon or right before a holiday. I try to go during the day on my lunch break or when i get off work early to avoid the wait. read more

My first visit and I was really impressed. The ladies out front were very nice and helpful. There was a wait, but it is a walkin so that should be expected. Andrea did my waxing and she is amazing, made me feel very comfortable right away. I came in hoping I would be able to get thru it. LOL when I left I purchased two of the packages. Very professional and knowledgeable in how to take care of their clients. read more

My first visit was so amazing, the lady was very nice and did so good and knew i preferred them thicker, my time today the lady was very sweet but she did me so dirty, they aren't even there sooo thin and there's still scragglys that she couldn't even bother to get. I'm so disappointed and hate the way i'm looking! They aren't even read more

The Wax Strip - my first visit - Waxing Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

The staff is friendly, the waxing is good, but the waiting is horrible. They are walk-in, only, are massively understaffed, and the waiting area is tiny. Every time I have been here, there is always a decent wait. Today I got there a few minutes after they opened, and had four people in line, in front of me. Not horrible, especially for a Saturday, but as soon as they open? Also, there was some mix up and people that came in after me, were put in line in front of me. Unprofessional, and just not cool. I had waited for over a half hour, and due to the people that were put ahead of me (even though they arrived after me), it would have been at least another half hour. I walked out, and will not go back. read more

I've been to the wax strip multiple times. It's always been ok. Not stellar but economy waxing however this time... horrible. My eyebrow wax completely botch. She waxed way too high and low and pulled off tons of skin. It's so painful and when I said omg it's so red she said "it's ok?!" That's it. No apology, no cream to help. It's terrible. I couldn't see how much damage was done until I got to my car. I'm going out of town in 2 days. Think my skin will grow back by then?! I'll never be back. I'm embarrassed by my face and in pain. Total fail. read more

I only come here when my best friend is all booked up. This is a quick and go wax facility. I recommend the eye brow wax if you come. The aestheticians are very quick, it's a hit or miss type thing with aestheticians. Some gets it and understand how I like my brows shape and some don't get it. For some staffs I usually have to give specific details on what I want done. Either that then it's okay. The staffs here are very friendly and always smiling. The aestheticians are okay. *Tip: 10% off with military ID or student discount. read more

This was the worst eyebrow wax. They did not do a good job. The tech reeked of cigarettes. The smell of cigarettes was very strong. The eyebrow wax was definitely not worth $12. read more

Very great job and best price around Murfreesboro for quality service. Got a Brazilian and had no issues Lyndsy was great!

There's another Wax Strip location on 2943 S. Rutherford, Ste B, which I been once. Since I live near Old Fort Parkway, I decided to go to this one to get my eyebrows down. I've been growing them out so I can reshape them. Well, I didn't have to wait long to be called, but the girl who waxed my eyebrows for me was so rude and hard on my eyebrows. Yes, she asked if had any kind of skin problems, but other than that, she did not bother to make any kind of conversation. I told her, as I was laying down, that I been growing my eyebrows out. Her immediate response was, "you wanted to reshape them?" I answered "Yes". And that was the kind of that conversation. She went on to applying wax on my eyebrows, harshly. After she pulled the stripped off, she started to tweezer away the stray hairs, harshly. After about a minute, she was done. She showed me how they looked. To be honest, I could of done what she did. That was the reason why I grew them out in the first place. I wanted to reshape them because I been doing my eyebrows myself. I felt like she was in way too much of a hurry to get me out of there, when there was no one waiting. I will not go back to this place again! read more

Don't come here if you want your eyebrows to look good. The technician that waxed my eyebrows did not ask me what I would like done to my eyebrows, she just started waxing without any indication. She waxed my eyebrows way too thin. She also didn't wear gloves. read more

Nicefolks, but one of the poorer wax jobs I've ever had, and they move right on to the next client so you don't have a chance to get them to address issues. Way too much wax left on my legs and way too many spots missed. Of course, there are enough folks working there and enough turnover that the next experience may be fine, but for now I have to head home and finish waxing myself. No tip this time! UPDATE: And this business doesn't care enough to follow up when they get a negative review, I see (as of 7/14/17). I'm taking my business back to the GOOD location on S. Rutherford. read more

By far the best waxing experience I have ever had. I waiting for less than five minutes to be taken back. The girl ( Jessica maybe? I couldn't really see her name because she was wearing a smock or sweater blonde and black hair.) she was very nice. Listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that! She talked to me about my wedding and hers and before I knew it I was done and it didn't hurt. I guess by talking to her the whole time and keeping my eyes closed distracted me from the pulling of the strips. She was great and you cant beat the price either. They have package deals like buy 5 get one free but I did not take her up on the offer. I do believe I have found my waxing place! SaaaaWeeeeet! FYI- They do ALL waxing, literally from head to toe! read more

The Wax Strip on Rutherford is so much better. Last time I left the one of Old Fort, I left with crooked eye brows. read more

Ive been to the wax strip many times but they messed up my eye brows at least five times, the last time I went was in November 2021 the woman took half of my eyebrow off when I called and complained, Cindy told me to come in and she would add a brow, all she did was tint it but there was no adding a brow, to this day I am still waiting for it to fully grow back. I will never go back to this place. They are NOT professional, they hire many inexperienced people. That makes me wonder why they closed their other salon on Rutherford. If you value your eyebrows stay away from this place. Mari. read more

I have been to the wax strip twice. First time for eyebrows and the second for eyebrows and brazilian. I was very happy with my experience both times. I have visited the European Wax center and I believe they are over priced and the girl there made my eye brows too thin. I also didn't see or feel the difference in the wax that was used. I think The Wax Strip gets the job done better in all ways (price, cleanliness, professionalism, and time). Each time the girl who waxed me was professional, kind and made polite conversation. I will continue to visit The Wax Strip. I have heard nothing but good things about the place even before I went there. read more

It's all about timing with this place. It is relatively small, so if you go during lunch time or between 5-6, you will have to wait for a long time. Just keep that in mind when going. I have only gotten my eyebrows waxed here, and I have always had a good experience. They hire only licenses esthetchians. That being said, if I was planning on totally reshaping my eyebrows, I might go to a high end salon. I come here when I just want them cleaned up. Prices are VERY reasonable. I believe it is 8 dollars for an eyebrow wax. And if you are a student, you can bring your ID and get 10% off. They are very clean and it is usually quick and not painful. Plus the lotion they put on your eyebrows after they wax them smells wonderful! read more

This was my first visit here and I will definitely be returning. It was clean and fast and my esthetician Torrie was nice and had me feeling like a new woman! My eye brows look amazing and my skin looked amazing after the wax no redness or swelling. read more

Great prices and fast, friendly service. I've only got my eyebrows done there but the other prices look good too. I never spend more than 15-20 minutes in the place, even if I have to wait to be seen. If I don't have to wait, sometimes I get in and out in 10 minutes. I love it! The atmosphere of the shop is really cute too. It is clean, fun, and feels comfortable. Not at all snobby. It's casual, which I like. If you're looking for a high end spa, I guess this wouldn't be the place. But if you're a busy person who wants to get a great deal and be treated good, this is the place to go. I've had several different girls wax my brows. Some are chatty, some aren't. I'm ok with either. I've never been treated badly and no one has ever been rude. That's really what matters I think. read more

Beware.....persons looking to get your eyebrows waxed.... I had my eyes closed for the waxing, I told her just shape them up please. She waxed them while making a comment about how dry my skin looked and then with my eyes closed she took out scissors and trimmed them....OMG! Now they look like stubble hair and feel awful. I never would have agreed to this had she bothered to ask me but she didn't. All I signed up for was a wax, if she wanted to do other services she should have asked. Yes they are cheap and fast but the finished product might just be awful like mine. read more

I was in and out for an eyebrow wax in less than 10 minutes. The girl who did my brows was friendly and talked to me about the city, being that I just moved here and am trying to learn the area. I had a horrible experience getting a Brazilian wax at the Wax Strip. Not only did the girl not get all the hairs (and I don't want to go back for a touchup), but my skin is still irritated and bruised. She did not pull my skin tight while waxing which made the experience even more painful. The Wax Strip is like the Super Cuts of waxing. The customer service was excellent. The people were all nice and easy to talk to but the waxing job itself was awful. The wax that was used doesn't do a good job. It took a long time to wax an area that should of been done within 20 minutes. The European Wax Center does a much better job! The hardening wax that the use is much more effective it also acts as a moisturizer. I was much more impressed when I went to the European Wax Center. The facility is cleaner and the people are extremely nice. I had Chelsea at the EWC, she was amazing. She was very easy to talk to and got the job done quickly but most importantly she did it right. The wax strip is decent but I wouldn't go there again. read more

I have been going to the Wax Strip on Old Fort for three years and I love it. I'm a male and Shayla waxes my eyebrows without making them look too feminine. Now that The Wax Strip is the only place I go to to get waxing services (as you can see from my check-ins), I've really enjoyed visiting there. The staff is friendlier and is welcoming every time I'm there. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. When I first walked in, I was not greeted by anyone. I signed in and waited for 10 minutes before anyone came out and said anything to me. She told me it would be 10 minutes. 35 minutes later, I get called back. I just needed my eyebrows done. She did not really have any conversation with me and just started waxing. When she was done, she handed me the mirror and they were HORRIBLE. Uneven, stray hairs everywhere! Such a horrendous experience. If I could give negative stars, I would! read more

OMG! I just got my brows tinted and waxed by Brittany (not sure how she spells her name) and I LOVE them! I had a bad thread job a while ago and have been trying to get normal brows since. She made them look perfect! So happy! I would definitely recommend going here. Great prices too! And all this is coming from a girl who always does threading. I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. I wish I lived here because I would always go here to see Brittany! Thank you wax strip! read more

Very clean and quick and non judgemental. Lots of my friends get our eyebrows done here. Very cheap and quick.

I've been the wax strip on Old Fort Parkway a handful of times. They have convenient hours and are VERY low cost ($8 for eyebrow wax). However...be very wary...you get what you pay for. On an early visit, they burned my eyelid. I am NOT overly sensitive, but skin WILL burn if the wax is too hot. I did not go back for several months. Later, I tried again, because it was in desperate need of a brow clean-up. Again, the wax seemed overly hot, but did not burn me this time. However, thwy waxed too much off of one side, leaving them lopsided. Several months later, I found myself in a similar predicament again. I (stupidly) decided to give them one more chance. This past Saturday, I left with burned eyelids (which are now scabbed), and uneven, poorly shaped brows. Be prepared to give your name, and sit in a very cramped waiting room (3 seats only). Sometimes the wait is not long. Sometimes it is, and there is standing room only. You will be asked if you take any medications (I do not). There may be some generic talk (What are you doing today?) but there has never been conversation about the shaping I am looking for. Wax is slopped on, ripped off, following by random hacking with the tweezers. In and out in under 2 minutes. I should also add, on my last visit, I had to wipe off what appeared to be pubic hair from the table and the headrest had strands of hair all over it. Furthermore, on one occasion the girl waxing my brows reaked so bad of cigarette smoke, I had to just hold my breath until she stepped back from my face. In a nutshell, this is NOT a spa-like experience. It is amateur at best, reckless at worst. However, if you are in need of a CHEAP brow wax and don't mind if your brows are not shaped or misshapen, the Wax Strip is for you! read more

I'm not into a spa experience. I usually get just my face done, but I did get everything waxed one time before my wedding. I mean everything. The girl didn't look me in the eye as she was doing it and in my world that is a plus. I really don't want to make conversation as someone waxes my back crack, honestly. I only took one star away because the last time I was there I had a pretty bad allergic reaction to something they used. My eyebrows and upper lip swelled pretty bad. I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get down to business and does not tend to be allergic. read more
