I've been going here for years. I go to a level 3 stylist (the highest level) because I have naturally curly hair and I've had many a stylist mess it up. Maher always makes the process easy and gives great suggestions on what to do to my hair. He never tries to sell me on anything and is very open about their pricing which I appreciate. It's nice clean environment with high ceilings, but not very echoey at all. I will continue to go here due to the quality I get and the friendly staff. I've never gotten color (because I like my natural color) so I cannot speak to that, but if you want a great haircut go to Maher at Onu salon! read more

Okay, so, I've been coming here a while for my hair and my stylist always does an amazing job. The atmosphere is really nice, and it is an Aveda Salon. I really enjoy coming here for my hair because it always turns out the way I want it and is just amazing overall. read more

I will post my review here, the company website looks to be read only. The only positive about my experience is that I was not asked to pay for absolutely destroying my hair. I went in with a picture of MY OWN hair from the last time it was done so a very recent picture of myself, that should be easy enough to replicate. I ask for partial highlights to match my existing "just a touch up" My hair now looks like someone poured a bottle of Sun-In from 1980 on the top. Errors made include: over application of product causing a major bleed of color out of foils resulting in orange dots all over my head. Bleach applied directly to my scalp causing sores. Only using a 5 volume peroxide casing major brassiness. Sloppy application process. I guess the manager came over and looked at the horrible mess and offered to have a master stylist look at it but by that time I had been there over 3 hours and I lost all trust in the entire "experience". I am not asking for anything because I was not ask to pay but I want to warn others about this salon because for the most part only positive reviews are posted about the salon.Make sure the person doing hair knows how to do foils. Maybe someone will read this that is responsible for education and this person will learn from this terrible mistake. I take my hair seriously and work to keep it nice this has been very disappointing. read more

Overpriced and will only let you schedule if you give them your credit card to be "put on file for potential no-show charges and/or late appointments." I know a lot of high-end salons are going to this but it's just another reckless credit card situation. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Unless you want a great clips hair cut for an Aveda salon price. I love Aveda and have been going to one previously for years before moving, which is why I chose here. Waaaaaaay over priced. $70 for a Hair cut?! Really?? That's just crazy! The cut was meh... there were a few chunky (not blended) layers I made sure he fixed before leaving the chair. I have only Once put highlights in my hair but everything else is my natural color blonde and thick great hair. Well he (trying to sell stuff of course) kept saying how my hair was so damaged because of the coloring i do to my hair... never did i tell him it was all natural other than partial highlights. And trust me, my hair is healthy, my last cut my stylist at another salon was amazed how nice it was. And the "styling" was not good. After the attempted curls That he did just using a hair brush....had him flat iron it out, thank goodness, to where I noticed a few spots needing fixing. Never paying that much for a haircut that was nothing special at all. And then they try and get to me book ahead with this stylist, to which apparently he will cost more at that appointment, because I was told he was level one when I called and booked what a joke. Apparently a level one "new" person is $70 haircut. And BEWARE they will take your credit card number and fine you if you have to cancel your apt! Stupid me was caught off guard by that and shouldn't have given my Info out. I guess I'm really confused too because I researched online different places and based off reviews called here. Maybe they have higher views for other services. But not impressed at all. Even the feel of the salon itself I walked in and was like...hmm... nothing fancy. Definitely not for what they charge read more

My issue with this salon is all due to price! I have gone here for a while, so it's not like I went once and didn't know the price. The bottom line is that you can get the same haircut, and sometimes better, from any other salon. I went with a tier one stylist, as that was supposed to be cheaper. They refused to quote me a price on the phone, but said tier one started around $30. I knew that was way underneath, but hoping my cut didn't cost over $50. My haircut was a simple trim and long layer, and it cost $70. That was with a tier one! I was in shock. Just beware when you go there- it will cost a ton and they will try to add more to it! read more

If you have naturally curly hair, go see STEVIE!! She has been doing my hair for over a year now and it has never been healthier. She gave me some new tips and tricks that have really helped my natural curl. She does my color, cut, and brows on each visit, and I trust her completely. When I had an important interview, she gave me several options to do at home to go with my outfit. It's great to go and unwind from my busy work week knowing I am coming out looking great! Stevie knows what to do with naturally curly hair, which is not something everyone knows how to handle!! Love her!!! read more

Everyone that works here is so Amazing! From the moment i called to make an appointment to when i checked out after getting my hair done the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I left feeling beautiful and on top of the world. The smells of the products are so soothing and natural smelling and the scalp massage is too die for. Look forward to the next visit! read more

I would love it if I could afford it! Just being honest here... it's too high priced for me. Maybe I could start some kind of foundation or a go fund me account, so that I can raise money for keeping my great highlights. I enjoyed the experience but not the price tag. That said, I really like Becca and the work she did. She was honest and upfront about the prices, and all the staff treated me like royalty. I am facing facts that I am not royalty and can't really afford the royal treatment. read more

Long-time customer of a similar chain in Illinois but was tremendously impressed with Onu Salon. No better place to man scape. Professional stylist that pampers you start to finish. I will be using Onu on my many trips to Murphreesboro. Savanna was amazing and could just as easily be a stylist for celebs and VIPs. read more

While I haven't actually gotten a service done at this salon, I can still honestly tell you that it is unlikely that I ever will, purely based on the fact that their "free" consultations actually cost $30; granted, they say this charge goes towards your haircut, but I feel that a free consultation usually does not come with an obligation to pay for a hair service. When I get a consultation it is purely to discuss my options with a stylist and get a feel for their styling techniques. I'm personally terrified of haircuts--I've had terrible experiences at several "upscale" salons--and I like to consult the stylist before I ever commit to a salon service. Onu essentially made me feel that I couldn't even interview the stylist before deciding whether or not I would like to have my hair cut by that stylist. I've never in my life had to pay for a consultation for anything--if your consultations are that good then you should offer them free and then give me the OPTION to pay for your services. What If I don't feel comfortable with the stylist and I've still paid thirty dollars "towards a haircut" that I will never get. read more
