Yeah, I miss friends but what I really miss are Frank's great water from The Pure Water Stop and HEB! We had a great well but even with a softener and two filters the water did not taste that great. We hooked up with buying water at The Pure Water Stop because the price was better than buying it from HEB or a delivery service. He was conveniently located on my "errands loop" and near the schools. We could count on Frank's water system providing clean pure fresh water. We miss that freshness here despite using a Brita on for our public system water here. I think a small business owner that greets and helps and knows all his customers is going to be more likely to make sure the system's filters and operations are up to date than some machine in a parking lot. I don't know if you ever go on Yelp, Frank but I want to say, "Thanks, Frank, for all the good water over the years. We miss you and your water." We do not miss the weather, but we definitely miss a few Texas things. As part of closure I am saying good things about them on Yelp. Several weeks ago, I contacted Puragain to schedule my annual maintenance because we were overdue for filter replacements and had begun noticing an unpleasant smell and taste in our water that hadn't previously been an issue. I was frustrated by how far in advance I had to schedule routine maintenance, particularly considering how quickly the company was able to install our original system and the system purchased by friends we referred. In both instances, installation was scheduled within a day. When I questioned this discrepancy, the representative explained that they were experiencing backorders on replacement filters. Fair enough. Supply issues happen, and I had to wait. However, my maintenance appointment was scheduled for today at 10 AM, and by late afternoon, no technician had arrived. I received no call, update, or explanation. I finally contacted the company myself and was assured that my service ticket would be escalated and someone would follow up with me. As of this evening, I still haven't heard from anyone. Waiting several weeks for routine maintenance is frustrating enough, especially when the quality of our water has declined. But failing to show up for an appointment without any communication, and then failing to follow through after promising to escalate the issue, is unacceptable. It's disappointing to invest in a whole-home filtration system only to find that obtaining basic maintenance and support is this difficult. I genuinely regret referring friends to Puragain if this is the level of customer service they can expect. The experience has left me with the impression that Puragain prioritizes acquiring new customers over taking care of the ones who have already invested in its systems.

First, canceling my subscription required an actual phone call--which then required two transfers and a long hold time that was blamed on "system issues." Even after I clearly explained that I no longer wanted the service, the rep refused to listen and kept pushing alternative offers. It took nearly three minutes before she would even acknowledge my request to cancel. Throughout my time as a customer, deliveries were inconsistent. Some weeks they simply didn't show up. I requested replacements for top-loader dispensers multiple times; sometimes the requests were ignored entirely. One time I specifically asked for a top loader and they delivered a bottom loader instead. Delivery days were unpredictable, changing week to week without notice. But the biggest issue by far was their failure to pick up used water jugs. I would accumulate hundreds of dollars--sometimes $500 to $1,000--in deposits because the driver would just choose not to collect the empties. This happened repeatedly. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so consistently frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. This has been one of the worst direct-to-consumer services I've ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and choose another provider. I switched to Aqua Carpatica and the process was unbelievably smooth by comparison.
