My wife and I have been coming here for years, and lately it feels like the place is being held together by duct tape. We bring about five or six jugs at a time and the bill machines work ok most of the time. Sometimes they'll eat your money and you can ask the person inside, If they're there and they'll honor your word and set you right. I'm drinking the water I got last week as I type this and there is an alarmingly strong taste of chlorine. It tastes like I'm drinking pool water. I sure hope the city is checking this place to ensure they're not poising their citizens. Although, admittedly, I don't know if that's possible. The owner needs to really think about upgrading the outside water dispensers and check to make sure the water they're selling isn't toxic. Otherwise, this place is a pretty ok place to get water. read more

First off, I've been getting my water here since the mid-late 80s. The staff has always been great to me, & I'll continue going to the Kawaii shaved ice shop, but I can't get my water here anymore. The lobby has been closed, so you have to use the self service dispensers, which I'm fine with, but now the dispensers are broken. This is the 2nd time I've tried, & they're still not fixed. If the lobby is closed, the bare minimum responsibility to keep this business going is to make sure the self service dispensers work. I did get my money back that the machine ate from the great Kawaii employee (thanks so much!), but I'm done feeding those broken dispensers. read more

My boyfriend and I live about 30 minutes away so we don't come here as often as we would like but they have the best water, hands down. We have multiple large aquariums and have not invested in our own home RO system to filter the water so we come here when we do large water changes. We own fish that are very sensitive to water quality and need the best water for them to thrive. We have tested the water from other filtration kiosks and business around Austin and Round Rock (which advertise multiple filtration stages) but have poor water quality, probably from not changing out their filters. We have never had an issue with the water here and it tastes amazing. They have a very friendly staff, an outdoor water dispenser that is open 24 hours and the BEST water quality in town. read more

Love the water from here it's very good. It's on par with most reverse osmosis water I've had. My wife and I come here often. That may change due to the fact that there machines that dispense water outside are funky. I put in a 5 and it only gave me 2.90 back (1.75/5gal) and one machine completely took my money. Another passer by said he suffered the same thing. At 1.75 it's not worth it. When I lived in Georgetown there was a place that had 5 gallons for 1 dollar and it came out ice cold. It tasted the same although my wife would disagree but I'd rather drive to Georgetown and not get robbed. Left them a note let's see if they contact me back. Very pleased with the immediate response. I have been a RR resident for at least 23 years. I have been going to the Water Jug for as long as I can remember. The water tastes GREAT to me! I am very grateful to have a family owned water processing company in my hometown ! Their water is Reverse Osmosis water. You are right, the owner is not warm & fuzzy. But I do not need warm & fuzzy. I need good quality water without fluoride. The young man that works there now is a very hard worker with an entrepreneurial spirit. He is very kind, and always respectful. Seriously bad customer service. We've been coming here for along time and I've never gone to the inside area. Never again. When I walked in I immediately noticed the awful smell and then not seeing anyone around a man walks in. He doesn't have any identification that he works there so when he said hello to me I said hi and he just stared at me. I then assumed that maybe he works there. So I asked if they took card. Because usually I use the outside jug filling station but today I didn't have change on me. (Unfortunately). He said yes but if you spend under 10$ they charge you 1$ for using the machine. That was fine knowing for both of my 5gal jugs = 3.50$ so it would come out to 4.50$ because I was using the card machine...I was mistaken. AFTER filling the jugs he informs us that because we came inside to fill the jugs they charge 2.50$ a JUG ?!?!?? Because inside they give you "FULL SERVICE"???? He put a hose in our jug and filled it? He didn't walk these heavy things to our car? What full service? Then he tried to explain that we were getting a great deal because water bottles are 1.25$ at the store? We know that that why we've always came here to fill our 5gal jugs for 1.75$ EACH. So in the end we paid 6$ for our jugs. Don't forget your change. Use the outside station because they charge for randomness inside. read more

Been customers for over 20 years, but not anymore! We have always put up with the blonde, (now middle aged), non friendly man. He has never had any social skills, you were lucky if you even got more than a grunt. But we always came back, because of the nice older man, owner. Always hoped to be waited on by the owner, or one of their teenage employees. Today I had trouble getting on Mays, with all the construction. I gave up and parked on the Kawaii shaved ice side, on Liberty. I went in apologizing, explaining that I had a hard time parking, but Mr. Surly says, "Its a big deal because of those steps!" One container. Not a large bottle. Two or three small steps. I will never go back. read more
