During my visit this past weekend, however, the experience was completely different. I was surprised (in a good way) to find a consigned watch (AP RO) that matched exactly what I had been shopping for. Unfortunately, the manager had very little information about the watch (ie: original papers, etc). After waiting around for quite a while, I realized he was busy on the computer finalizing another transaction instead of helping me. I eventually left my contact information and walked out. She then came to me and asked how she could help me. I told her I need my watch band adjusted so I could wear it. Immediately snotty she said, "WE DON'T DO THAT HERE!" She then sent me down the street to a real personable jeweler with a better attitude. She either didn't know how to adjust watch bands, or she was profiling me thinking I couldn't afford it and I was willing to pay big money for that perfect fit. I will never recommend anyone to go there if they like to be treated like a beggar. Shame on her for profiling and acting like she was better. I've never been to a jewelry store that did not know how to do or refuse to do the simplest thing such as adjusting a watch band, in which most people have to have.
