Wonderful Chai! Local ingredients, yummy gluten free options, everything made in house. Best spot in Covelo.

We also got the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and we were THRILLED because we both love this combo and can never find it in a bakery. Highly recommend. The girl behind the counter was so friendly (she heated up our empenada and wrapped it for us so we could take it to go). There's also a cute seating area outside where people can hang out. Love it!

We decided to order a breakfast burrito, mango danish and blueberry danish. I was a little shocked the breakfast burrito was prepared and then just microwaved. Probably the most low maintenance burrito I've had. It's more on the flat side too and not your proper burrito shape. The burrito itself tasted good though and there was even a cheese pull! The pastries were decent and had a good flakiness. I will say I think I was given a peach danish and not a mango one because it literally tasted and looked like peaches even though we saw the danish picked from the mango danish tray. We also sat outside which I already know is really cute during the warmer season, but during the colder season it's a bit cold and dark.

But .. this place is a mess and very crappy .. dirty ... I'm still surprise I didn't get sick after ... If you dare getting inside .. just have a look and detail all the dirt and shit inside ... The food was ok ... I did appreciate that when I left my napkin on the dining table ... my napkin turned black with the design of the surface ! The service was also a disaster .. the menu had been printed and foliated ... but you barely could see through the plastic as it was greasy, black, sticky and nasty ... The counter had also a white board where the waitress .. or a 4 year old child tried to write the menu with a sharpie ! ... This place is a filthy hole ... AVOID ! ... or go at your own risks !

The rest of the menu is a bit shaky and have been a bit disappointed when I have strayed from my standby cheese burger and fries or onion rings. That said they do a pretty decent greasy spoon style breakfast and it not the expensive either. The owner Mike is very friendly and I would encourage all to stop in and say hi. All in all its a good place to get a burger and fries but done expect avocado or and kind of shi-shiness with that.

Great stop for travelers with pets!…read more We stopped at The Peg House on our way to the Avenue of the Giants, and we're so glad we did! This hidden gem sits just off Highway 101, so it's easy to find. All of the seating is outdoors, with plenty of shaded spots -- perfect for relaxing without baking in the sun. There's even a stage area for live music. We stopped by on a Monday evening, so no music that day, but the atmosphere was still wonderful and laid-back. When we went to order, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who immediately offered our dogs some treats (always an A+ in my book!). Their burger and sandwich menu had so many tempting options that it was hard to choose. I ended up with a burger topped with jalapeños, while my partner went for one with bacon. The burgers were amazing -- the meat was tender and juicy, practically melting in your mouth. The toppings complemented everything perfectly, and the bun tasted fresh and fluffy. I also really appreciated the coleslaw -- not overloaded with mayo like most. My partner loved his meal too. We've decided this will be a new tradition every time we're in the area! Pro tip: Don't skip the gift store right next to the eatery. Pick up a Train Wreck cookie, Rice Krispy treat, and a brownie -- they're all incredible. We loved them so much that we stopped again on our way home to stock up. You won't be disappointed!
