Well worth the drive out of town. I am gluten free and don't generally like gluten free sandwiches but the people I was with wanted sandwiches. They are àlways so accommodating and don't complain about all my special requests, veggies and dressing on the side, extra onions etc and did I mention they make a mean Italian sandwich! Glad we went out of our way going through Willits to find this hidden GEM!! This is an amazing delicatessen and the owners a so friendly with an awesome menu. My husband had the "Italian " sandwich and I had the "Coast" which had Turkey, provolone, avocado cucumber, tomato and shredded lettuce with an amazing homemade dressing on it! This place is yummy!! It is small and wasn't too crowded on a Wednesday afternoon. Super fair prices! It does a brisk call-in business so legible we dined in at the one counter, a lot of people just paid and picked up their sandwich order they called in . My husband had the cubano and I had the the mendo sandwich'. Which was delicious!!! We got a big side of potato salad and a lemon bar to split. Overall a great deli that is a bit out of the way but the food and prices make it worth the drive! Nice clean bathroom as well! read more

So glad we happened to come across thus deli before our long drive back to San Diego. We all ordered the breakfast sandwiches which were really good, lots of bacon and perfectly toasted croissant s. Where this deli shines is with the pulled pork sandwich, the cubano, bacon deviled eggs, pesto and italian pasta salad. The young woman behind the counter was so nice and helpful. Returned the next day for the best sandwiches ever and got the same ones we had before--still 100% amazing! I didn't mention it in my first review, but the lemon cake is fantastic. I ended up bringing two pieces home to my mom and dad in Reno and they loved it too! We also tried the lemon bars this time and unfortunately wasn't impressed. They had the taste of something that might have been frozen, maybe thawed and served, so I don't think I'll be getting them again. he that we will definitely be craving their sandwiches and lemon cake until we come back next time. What a quaint and charming place. I'd say that is a must-visit deli in the heart of Willits tucked in the woods just off of the main road through town. The store is neatly organized and the vibes are incredibly rustic. It screams "mom and pop" and my colleague and I just loved it. The Baklava was a nice touch at the end. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and even more delicious. I got the Spicy Pig. Just wow. The staff was incredibly nice and cheery. The tables outside are incredibly inviting and there's even a picnic bench off to the left. We are sitting on the parking sumos in front of my car overlooking the woods. If you're ever in Willits or even passing through you will not regret this stop. They have a selection of wine and craft beer and there's a solid variety to choose from. I will definitely come back on my way to go camping in a few weeks. read more

The store was handy but the deli was good karma for them, rent kept going up at their previous location, so after closing for a few months, they moved next door and are doing well. #winning! I love that I can grab some essentials after work like real butter and a bottle of Pinot Grigio or dark chocolate and pasta, or a sandwich (feeds two) and beer. They even have local honey, champagne, and kombucha. One stop shop! If you shop there often and need something they don't already have, they'd probably add it to their inventory...? (Ask). I love not having to drive (all the way) into town for a quick meal or spontaneous item like butter when baking a cake. Only one draw back, no open beverages on location. The outside tables are great on a warm day it would be nice to drink a beer with my sandwich... The solution: Eat breakfast outside and take that sandwich and beer for later.
